2025-11-18 07:35:20 +0000 UTCIf Luffy goes Gear 4 straight away, if he doesn't defeat the person within 5 minutes or whatever timelimit he has, then he'll be too weak to use Haki for the next 5 minutes or so, essentially unarmed, undefended. So using it whenever he's gotten a good grasp of the opponent's fighting style, and he feels confident is probably what he's going for.
