Irina's Happy Mistake 6

“Thank you for the bear Rosalie. Not only with it sate my hunger it’s pelt will make a lovely addition to our horde.”Isabella told Rosalie. Rosalie preened at her mate’s praise. The pair were in the forest with Irina all hunting. Irina had asked Isabella if she would let her and Rosalie hunt for her and to Rosalie’s delight Isabella agreed. Rosalie had come across six bear and picked the biggest one of the group to bring back after she fed off it. Irina wasn’t back yet but Rosalie knew that was because she was trying to find something impressive to present Isabella with. Isabella who was current using a knife that had been holstered to her belt to skin the bear. Rosalie had never really thought of what happened to the carcass of animals she drained and now regretted never saving their hides. If she did she could have given them to Isabella who based on how expertly she was removing the bear’s hide from it’s skull Rosalie thought she likely had a large collection of them.

“What exactly is a horde and why would it be ours?”Rosalie had never heard of a horde before.

“When dragons mate they immediately give equal ownership of their horde to that mate. You like Irina will have as much of say with what happens to everything as I do and before you try to rebuff the offer know that if you reject my horde I will be compelled to search the world over to find something that you would accept from me.”Isabella was going to still search the world over for gifts for her mates but the urge wouldn’t be as overwhelming if Rosalie accepted her horde like Irina did.

“That is good to know. Now what is a horde?”Rosalie definitely didn’t want to Isabella to be wasting time looking for a present for Rosalie just because of Rosalie’s pride.

“The myth about dragons collecting treasure is true. We have an always active impulse to to seek out things that have value. All the things we collect we call our hordes. Most dragons focus on gold, silver and jewels and other valuable rocks and metals. Other consider different things valuable. Myself I was influenced by growing up in the human world with no dragons involved in the first four hundred years of my life. Due to that I don’t have a set theme to my horde. I have a lot of gold, silver and jewels. Plus lots of jewelry but I also have tens of thousands of books, rugs, hides, paintings, statues, fabrics anything you can think of. My dragon parents were actually very surprised and equally as impressed with the things I have collected over the years. My horde now belonging to you as well.”Isabella explained.

“How old are you?”Rosalie only knew that Isabella was the queen’s daughter nothing else about her personal history.

“I was hatched 50 years after Athenodora was turned. We really didn’t keep track of the days or years back then.”Isabella didn’t really care how old she was.

“Shit.”Rosalie was having problems wrapping her head around the fact that here mate was an ancient being.”How did you end up with the queens being your mother if you had dragon parents?”

“My parents hold powerful positions in the dragon world. A dragon didn’t like that my parents held those positions so he came up with the plan to wait until my mother was away from her keep to steal all her eggs. The dragon killed himself so we are sure what his plan was to do with them. When he found out he was caught he destroyed all but my egg. How I came to be with the queens was that somehow my egg got into the hands of a human man. That human man didn’t know what he had and offered the egg up as a payment in a card game.”Isabella was cut off by Rosalie.

“He bet a dragon egg in a card game?!”Rosalie couldn’t believe anyone would be so careless with a dragon egg.

Isabella nodded as she carefully removed the jaw off the skull of the bear making sure it stayed attacked to the rest of the animal’s face.”Like I said he didn’t know what it was. Athenodora did though and because she did she cheated her way through the game to gain ownership of the egg. Once she had she found a safe location, built a large fire and put the egg in it. While waiting for it to hatch she tried to search for another dragon to take it from her but had no luck. It was when I hatched and turned from my dragon form into my human form that she claims she fell in love with me and decided she would raise me herself.”

“That’s quite the story. When did the other queens come into the picture?”Rosalie would have never guessed that was how Isabella came to live at the castle. The whole story was quite unbelievable and if it was anyone other than Isabella who told it to her Rosalie wouldn’t have believed they were being truthful.

“We met them about century later when they were traveling with their sires and a third male vampire. It was during a battle with a village of the children of moon. One the men had taken quite the interest in me and when myself and Dora refused to answer any of his question or obey any of his orders he ordered the other two men and the queens to kill Dora and capture me. It didn’t go as planned though because the man didn’t realize that Didyme and Suplicia both have a mate bond with Dora. When given the order they became engaged and ignored the sire command leading them to kill both their sires. Dora killed the third man when he tied to flee.”Isabella hated that she didn’t get to kill any of them after she found out what the queens had gone through.

“I want to say it’s impossible to fight the sire command but I’m pretty sure I did it when I made eye contact with you. Carlisle had ordered me not to speak badly about him or Edward and to never tell anyone about the plan to kill you and overthrow the queens. When you asked me if Edward was a coward I was prepared to feel the discomfort of not being able to speak but it never came. I didn’t even have to hesitate before telling you everything.”Rosalie was very grateful that she could because it led to her former tormentors and the many who had complete control over her dying.

“That’s likely because of my shield. As my mate it would have automatically protected you from any mental and physical influence. A sire sire bond is a mental tool.”Isabella took the hide and laid it on the ground then a sat on the log Rosalie pulled down to sit on and ripped off the bears hind leg off. Blowing out some fire from her mouth she waited until the meat was cook before she began eating it.

“That is amazing that you can breathe fire in your human form.”Rosalie thought everything Isabella did was amazing.

“I’m back.”Irina announced as she entered the clearing dragging a large moose behind her.

“Where did you find a moose?”Rosalie didn’t think those animals lived in the region.

“That’s what took me so long. It wasn’t close by.”Irina had search the area they had been in and didn’t find anything worthy of presenting to her mate. That was why she went further north until she found the herd of moose. She picked out the one that had the biggest antlers to bring back after she fed from it.

“That is a mighty beast. I am honored that you fought and killed such a dangerous competitor so that I could eat.”Isabella was impressed that Irina was still completely clean with only her hair a bit windblown to show she had exerted herself.

Irina stood a little taller hearing Isabella’s praise.”Where do you want me to put it?”

“You can put it on the other side of the bear. I want to save its head and antlers so that I can mount them to show off how good my mate treats me. It will go lovely along with the bear hide Rosalie got me.”Isabella was going to brag to everyone about her mates not only going hunting for her but bringing back such impressive game.

“That just gives us more incentive to hunt down bigger animals next time.”Rosalie was going to make sure that the next time she hunted for Isabella she would find something better than the large bear.

“When things get settled we should go somewhere remote that has lots of impressive wildlife to hunt.”Isabella suggested. Finished with the meat of the leg she moved onto the bone.

Irina flinched at the sound of Isabella chewing the bones.”Eating bones doesn’t bother your teeth or stomach?”

“Of course not. My teeth are just as strong in this form as they are in my dragon form. As for my stomach I have two and they both can handle bones.”Isabella popped the last bit of bone in her mouth then using her knife cut off a large chunk of the bear. She repeated the process of cooking it before she began eating it.

“Having two stomachs likely explains your appetite.”Rosalie said.

“It could.”Isabella didn’t really care.

“So you said that your venom is deadly to vampires but what about your blood. Are we going to be able to mark you?”Irina couldn’t wait any longer to ask that question.

Isabella cut off more of the bear.”Yes you will not only be about to mark me but you will be able to drink my blood which will sustain you so you never have to hunt again.”

“We could live off your blood?”Rosalie liked the idea of not hunting anymore. Feeding regularly from her mate was also a pleasing idea. Just thinking of performing the act make Rosalie shiver in excitement.

“Yes there are certain side effects of course.”Isabella told her going back for a bigger piece of the bear. She hadn’t realized how hungry she was.

“What side effects?”Irina just like Rosalie liked the idea of feeding regularly from her mate.

“You would get your human eye color back, your blood lust and the constant thirst will be gone, your abilities will be enhanced making your stronger, faster, your skin tougher and all your senses sharper. I think that’s it. That only happens because we are mates though. If someone else tried to drink my blood it would just like my saliva burn them from the inside out.”Isabella told them.

“Has anyone tried to drink your blood before?”Rosalie was even more excited to drink Isabella’s blood hearing all the benefits she would receive from doing it. She especially liked the idea of getting her human eye color back. It would not only be nice to get a piece of her humanity back but it would let her blend in better with humans.

Isabella nodded as she swallowed.”I have been involved in many conflicts with vampires. Numerous times have I been bitten. Their teeth aren’t sharp enough to do any real damage but they have drawn small amounts of blood before. Even a drop kills them so none of them have survived. You two being my mates will be able to easily penetrate my skin.”

“It’s weird hearing how your body psychically adapts to the mate bond. Vampires just adapt mentally.”Irina was happy Isabella’s did of course.

“It’s to allow us to be able to procreate. Like my dragon parents are both women but when they met their bodies prepared them for having children together.”Isabella explained.

“Wait are you saying we could have children together?”Rosalie was sure that wasn’t what Isabella was saying.

“Yes even though all of us are female and you two are vampires there are ways for you to get me pregnant.”Isabella didn’t understand the looks of shock she was getting from both women.”Are you both alright?”

“You are saying if Rosalie and I wanted to get you pregnant that we would be able to?”Irina wanted to be sure before she got excited.

“That’s exactly what I’m saying. It either of you wanted we could have dozens of children together.”Isabella would mind having children with her mates.

“This can’t be real. I am passed out somewhere and having a dream. Isabella hasn’t visited yet and we are definitely not talking about me actually fulfilling my dream of being a mother.”Rosalie closed her eyes and dug her thumb into the back of her other hand to wake herself up. When she felt the skin cracking she opened her eyes seeing that it was not a dream at all. Knowing this caused venom tears to fill her eyes. She tried to hold them back but when Isabella took her in her arms the sobs overwhelmed her.

“Are you alright?”Isabella didn’t have a clue what made Rosalie so upset. She looked to Irina for help only to find the other vampire standing staring at her in shock.”Irina are you alright?”

Irina laughed at how absurd that question was. She just found out that after a thousand years she would actually get to fulfill her ultimate wish of having her own child.”I just can’t believe I will actually get to be a mother.”

“It’s alright Rosalie. Whatever is the matter I’ll fix it.”Isabella promised.

Rosalie took a few deep breaths to get control of her emotion.”Nothing is the matter. Well it’s nothing bad. The one thing I have wanted since I was human was to be a wife and mother. When Carlisle changed me I was very bitter that he took my chance of having children away from me. Now you are telling me that wish is within my reach. I’m so happy I almost can’t handle it.”

“I’m the same as Rosalie. I always wanted to be a mother but my sire changed me before I got the chance as a human. I’m over a thousand years old and still get jealous when I see parents with their children. Now you are telling me that I can have as many children as I want. It’s a lot to take in but I am happy. The happiest I have ever been in my life both human and vampire.”Irina knew that she would get happier spending her life with Isabella.

Isabella gave Rosalie a kiss on the head, released her then walked over to Irina and gave her hug.”I’m glad that I can give both of you something that was taken away from you. I want to get to know both you better and find a place to settle down before we have children but know that I am ready once we have a stable lifestyle.”

“I’m glad to hear that.”Rosalie was happy they wouldn’t have to wait long.

“Why don’t you go back to eating.”Irina wanted to tell her family the good news but wanted Isabella to finish eating first.

Isabella released Irina from the hug and retook her seat. There wasn’t much of the bear left so she lifted the remains of the carcass in the air and roasted the rest of it before she began eating.”I think my mothers both vampire and dragon are going to be extremely happy when we tell them we plan to have children soon.”

“Do you have any siblings?”Rosalie asked as she took a seat on one side of Isabella and Irina taking a seat on the other side of the dragon.

“After her eggs were stolen my mother was devastated but still held out hope for them to be returned. When word came that the man destroyed all of them she become overwhelmed with sorrow, anger and guilt. She felt it was her fault it happened because she left her eggs unprotected. Which it really wasn’t her fault because most dragons leave their eggs unprotected. That’s because it is considered one of the worst crimes in dragon society to steal an egg left alone destroy it. Both earn the person who did a death sentence. She wasn’t aware that my egg survived at the time so she thought she had lost all her children. After it happened she was to overcome with grief to ever have anymore children.”Isabella felt horrible for her mother.

“How did she react to finding out you were alive?”Irina moved out of the way for Isabella to get access to the moose. The vampire was curious to see what Isabella was going to keep off it.

“She was shocked, ecstatic, felt incredibly guilty she hadn’t searched for me and overall very happy I found her and my other mother.”Isabella carefully cut the neck of the moose to drain any blood Irina left behind so it wouldn’t get on the parts she was keeping.

“How did your other mother feel?”Rosalie wasn’t sure exactly what Isabella was doing but it seemed like she was separating the moose’s whole head from the body. She wasn’t sure how that would stop it from rotting. She gave a mental shrug. Isabella obviously knew what she was doing.

“I’m going to cut off the head and bring it back to the Cullen’s home to prepare it. That will save some time so you can get back to your sisters Irina.”Isabella knew that Irina was anxious about speaking to her sisters and didn’t want to keep her too long.

“Thank you.”Irina did want to speak to her sisters soon.

“How my other mother acted is she just stared at me for over an hour in disbelief. It wasn’t that she thought I was lying about who I was because I look like her twin it was just she couldn’t get over the fact that I was alive and standing right in front of her. Once she got over her shock she then refused to not be touching me in some way. I stayed with them for over a month and in that entire time my mother didn’t leave my side. She always had some part of her body touching me. Be it a hand on my back or an arm wrapped around my shoulders she had to be touching me. I asked her about it and she told me that she was afraid I wasn’t real and that if she let go then I would disappear. I of course understood her fears so I didn’t object to her closeness. She hasn’t grow out that habit and every time I visit she immediately searches me out and doesn’t leave my side unless she has to or my other mother gets annoyed that she doesn’t have the opportunity to show me physical affection.”Isabella didn’t mind her mother’s habit. She liked having all her mothers close.

“I think if I was in her position I would act the same way.”Rosalie wouldn’t let Isabella out of her sight if she was her dragon mothers.

“Did you parents ever consider having children once you were found?”Irina’s thoughts were the same as Rosalie’s she wouldn’t let Isabella out her sight if she was her dragon parents.

Isabella dragged the headless moose body over to the log and retook her seat. Cutting off a large piece she cooked it then began eating it.”No they had been traumatized enough with thinking they lost all their children then 400 years later one shows up very much alive. Although I know that they love me and are very happy I sought them out I bring them great pain. I am a symbol of what they lost. I also brought them false hope that my other siblings were alive. They found the remains of every one else so there is no chance of it but it still put the idea in the back of their minds.”

“I can understand that.”Rosalie would never give up hope even with the evidence to prove otherwise if one of her children showed up 400 years after she thought they all died.”You said they had a powerful role amongst dragons does that mean you have one as well?”

“I do but I haven’t had to step back into that role since I woke up and will be given 6 months before I have to assume my responsibilities again.”Isabella would do it sooner but her parents insisted she take the time to learn about the world she woke up in.

“What do you mean you woke up?”Rosalie asked.

“I was involved in a fight with some dragons that were part of a group that was trying to assassinate me and my parents. They had ambushed us and we were outnumbered 4 to 1. We either killed or restrained all of them but we were not without injury. My sire had a few broken bones, my mother a few nasty cuts but the majority of the group focused on me because I am the heir and the last of my bloodline. That being the case I received the worst injuries. To heal from bad injuries dragons sleep to repair the body. If the injuries were like my parents had I wouldn’t have had to sleep all but because they were serious though not life threatening I needed to sleep for a century to fully repair the damage to my body. I woke up about a month ago.”Isabella explained.

“What are you the heir to?”Irina didn’t like hearing that people tried to assassinate her mate because of her family.

“Vampire’s have royalty like the queens and the kings before them. Dragons have emperors and empresses. Those are decided through right of birth or if someone successful kills off the entire bloodline and claims the leadership role. My family had been in charge of the dragon population for 6 thousand years. My mothers are the empresses and held that position for 3 thousand years. I am next in line as their only child. It was the reason the man who stole eggs targeted my mother.”Isabella was more than willing to step into the role but didn’t think her mothers were ready to retire yet and likely wouldn’t be for at least a couple thousand more years.

“So you are saying not only are you the princess of the vampires but you are the princess of the dragons?”Rosalie wanted make sure she understood what Isabella was saying.

“Yes and as my mates you will be the princess consorts and our children will be heirs to both thrones with royal titles of their own.”Isabella cut off the large front leg of the moose, blew fire on it and took a bite.”I haven’t had moose in centuries before I went to sleep but after tasting it again I’m going to have to have it more often.”

Irina shook her head at her mate. How Isabella could be so nonchalant after dropping life changing information she didn’t know.”Will Rosalie and I have royal duties?”

“That will depend on what you both work out with my mothers. I don’t care what you do either way. Just as long as it makes you happy. I will only step in if I can tell you are upset with your roles.”Isabella wasn’t going to make her mates do anything they didn’t want to.

“I don’t know what I want to do but I hope that the time you have off we can spend most of it exploring our bond.”Rosalie didn’t think she would mind being a royal. Especially a vampire royal. It would bring her a lot of respect. That being something she had little of in the vampire world.

“That’s was my plan. I think it all really hinges on Irina and her sisters.”Isabella was going to dedicate all the time she could to her mates.

Irina sighed thinking about her sisters.”I know I need to talk to them but I’m not looking forward to it. I expect them to be extremely upset with me. I see a lot of apologizing in the future. Plus questions about our mate bond and you Isabella.”

“You can tell them anything you want about me. My life’s not a secret. Just for some random reason no one has heard of me. Which I don’t understand because there are a lot of people that live in the castle that know what I am. I would expect that either Eleazar or Carlisle would have known after living there so long.”Isabella couldn’t figure out how the two men didn’t know about her.

“All both of them knew about you was that you had orange eyes, a heart beat, ate animals including their bones, were deadly, unforgiving to law breakers and that you made decisions for the queens. Carlisle said he believed that it was really you in charge of the vampire world and the queens were just figure heads.”Rosalie told her.

“I don’t quite agree with me being in charge. I will say that I do make a lot of decisions but that is about law breakers. I don’t make any decisions regarding policies or how vampires are told to live their lives. I don’t sit in on meetings the queens have with people unless I’m asked to and I don’t attend the events in the throne room that have nothing to do with someone not being tried for a crime. My role basically is being an enforcer.”Isabella didn’t want to be in charge of the vampires. Even if she could easily overthrow the queens. She thought her mothers did a fine job and only argued about punishments.

“It would make sense that Carlisle and Eleazar would think that then because the queens only allow audiences for trials not for mundane issues. Meaning that they would have only witnessed you dealing with lawbreakers.”Irina had seen Isabella take charge of the Cullen situation when she was before the queens and had herself thought that Isabella had power over them.

“What made them think that they could kill me and then kill the queens?”Isabella ripped off the moose’s ribcage, cooked it then began eating it.

“How it all began is that a group of us the entire Denali minus Irina of course and the entire Cullen coven expect for Emmett and Edith were sitting around the living room when Tanya joined us after she had been trying to get ahold of Irina. After she told us she had no luck she asked Eleazar if he did. He said he didn’t but in way that had his mate asking him what had him worried. He then revealed that there had been sightings of you in the castle and the queens got the farm up and running. Someone asked who you were and that led to Eleazar and Carlisle who were the only two other Carmen who knew who you were explaining who you were and how they witnessed you controlling the queens. That and you would likely be the one to show up to punish us. It was Edward who is the one you shot first that was the one who brought up the idea of killing you when you came and then calling allies and going after the queens.”Rosalie was just glad she didn’t get pulled into Edward’s scheme.

“That’s all well and good but how did they think they would defeat me? Carlisle was part of the rebellion. He had seen me in action and heard the stories of my exploits. How did he think that his coven even with the help of everyone gathered would defeat me?”Isabella thought the man would know better.

“That’s the thing. The didn’t have a set plan. Edward was convinced that he could beat you by himself with no help because of his gift. Jasper said that even if Edward could take you by himself that he would help to guarantee they would kill you. The others were focused on the guards that would come with you. I personally thought we all were going to die and had been using my effort to fight the command Carlisle gave me through the bond to join them in the fight. The idea was that when you all showed up they would plead their case then when you found them guilty anyway they would attack and the other covens would join them because they would fighting for their lives. That would give them all the gifted vampires that had shown up as witnesses and the talented fighters that showed up with them. At no time did they ever think they would fail because they were so sure that you would find them guilty.”Rosalie told her.

“That’s a pretty stupid plan. Especially them thinking they were going to be found guilty of a crime they had proof they were innocent of. It was also stupid to think that Edward who has absolutely no fight training could kill me by himself. Even without my mental shield I have thousands of years of battle experience. That and I have fought mind readers before so I have experience with Edward’s gift as well.”Isabella would have been able to easily handle the boy in a fight.

“Edward had the belief that he was a god amongst mortals and was the best at everything. It didn’t matter what. He claimed he was the best at it. Even when Jasper trained us for the newborns and Edward lost his fights he would claim he lost on purpose to make the rest of us feel better about ourselves.”Rosalie had enjoyed pounding on Edward during training.

“Carlisle is the reason for that belief because he has held the boy on a pedestal since he turned him. The first time we meet Edward Carlisle spent twenty minutes bragging about all the ways Edward was amazing before any of us even said hello.”Seeing a spot of blood on Isabella’s cheek Irina reached out and wiped it off with her thumb then put her thumb in her mouth and sucked the blood off. She smirked at the raw look of desire Isabella gave her at the action.

“It’s because of his gift. Carlisle was obsessed with having a powerful coven. He has sent out many invites to not only gifted vampires but vampires with known fighting abilities to join the coven. No one has ever said yes though.”Rosalie was happy they didn’t because with that power Carlisle would have definitely gotten Rosalie killed.

“Well I proved his coven wasn’t very powerful when I killed all but three of them in less than two minutes.”Isabella didn’t think Carlisle’s coven had any power at all. Even with the ones that had gifts.

“Do you think you could teach me how to shoot a gun so that I can carry one or two for personal protection?”Irina was a decent fighter but wouldn’t win against someone with more experience. Having a gun would give her the edge if she ever got in fight.

“I would like to learn as well. I would also like to learn how to use a whip like yours.”Rosalie wasn’t even at Irina’s level in being able to defend herself so she needed all the help she could get.

Isabella finished chewing the last bit of the moose’s liver and moved on to the other rib cage.”I was going to offer anyway. I can probably beat anyone in the world in a fist fight but I think it’s stupid to take the risk of getting hurt. I don’t care if that makes me a coward or not honorable. That being the case I was going to suggest that the pair of you learn how to use all of my personal weapons. Most of which no-one but myself has access to.”

“I would like that.”Irina knew that Kate was going to be so jealous when she found out that Isabella was going to train her to use the dragon’s personal weapons.”What are the bullets made out of?”

“I guess I can tell you because I was planning on giving you the block before we went back to the house. The bullets are made with gunpowder, silver, little pellets filled with my saliva and dipped in vampire venom. The vampire venom covering the bullet hitting the vampire’s skin at high speeds is the reason that it can break the skin. When it goes inside the body the material covering the pellets dissolve when mixed with the vampire’s own venom and creates an explosion that causes the vampire to be lit on fire from the inside. Making it so it can’t be put out.”Isabella thought the bullets were well made.

“It’s so obvious. How come no one has invented something like it before? Of course vampire venom is the way you get them to break the skin.”Irina felt stupid for not even considering that her own venom could be used to break another vampire’s skin. It was one of the only substances that could.

Isabella shrugged.”I invited them in the 1800’s and have been using them since. Well except when I was sleeping.”

“I’m very excited to see your other weapons now.”Rosalie predicted she was going to see a lot of amazing things when Isabella showed her her weapons.

“I’m excited for you to have the extra protection.”Isabella was going to get Irina and Rosalie trained and armed as soon as possible.

“Are you done?”Irina didn’t see anything left of the moose that looked edible.

Isabella finished chewing her last bite.”Yes I do hope that I can get some water at the house. I usually bring some when I go hunting if there isn’t a body of water around.”

“We have water and other kinds of beverages that were kept around for the shifters.”Rosalie made a metal note to get some kind of water bottle to carry with her when she went hunting with Isabella. That way she was taking care of her mate’s needs.

“Alright then let’s get these blocks out of the way and go rejoin your covens.”Isabella hoped it didn’t take long with the covens because she wanted to spend time alone with her mates.

“What do we need to do?”Irina was very excited to get the mental block. Her mind had been unprotected for over a thousand years it would nice to finally have it all to herself.

Isabella turned her body to Irina and put her hands on both her cheeks making sure they were keeping eye contact.”I want you to look into my eyes and count to ten. While you do that you will feel a slight pressure on your head. That is the block being put in place. Don’t fight it or try to push back. If you do it will hurt. Just relax and accept the feeling. As soon as you do it will go away.”

“I’m ready.”Irina looked Isabella in the eye and began counting out loud to ten. She felt the sensation Isabella told about and her instincts were telling her to fight it. Instead she thought about all the positives that came with the block. Once she did the feeling went away just as she reached ten.”Did it work?”

“Yes it worked.”Isabella dropped her hands turned to Rosalie, put them on Rosalie’s cheeks and made eye contact.”Do you need me to repeat the instructions.

“No I got it.”Rosalie looked into Isabella’s eyes and counted out loud to ten. Feeling the sensation Isabella told her about Rosalie didn’t even consider fighting against it. The rewards for getting the block completely outweighed a little discomfort that would only last for a minute at the most. As Rosalie thought as soon as she accept it the feeling went away. Reaching ten she smiled at Isabella.”Is it done?”

Isabella released Rosalie’s face and nodded.”You both are now immune to all mental influence.”

“I’m happy to hear that.”Irina would be happy when her family had the blocks as well.

“I guess we should get going.”Isabella said as she stood from her seat and grabbed the moose head.

Rosalie grabbed the bear hide.”Is there anything special we have to do with this so it doesn’t mold?”

“Yes I’m going to work on that and the head while you visit with your covens.”Isabella didn’t want to be involved in any coven drama.

“I forgot your mothers called. You need to call them back.”Irina had sent them a text saying that Isabella was hunting and she would make sure that Isabella contacted them when she was done. In reply she got a thank you and a request for Irina to use force to get Isabella to use the phone. Irina wasn’t sure about using force but wouldn’t be surprised if it was going to be necessary.

“I’m not using that devil device.”Isabella told her as she walked in between her mates on their way back to the Cullen house through the forest.

“Isabella your mothers are worried about you because they heard there was a conflict and they want to know what is going on with your new mate bond. You need to call them.”Irina could feel the anxiety and worry coming from each text message and voice mail.

“If I didn’t know my mothers had the blocks I would say they had been mind controlled into believing those devices are safe. If not there really is no explanation for them trusting them so much.”Isabella would never trust a cell phone.

“Isabella there have been hundreds if not thousands of studies done on the safety of cell phones. All have proved that cell phone do no harm to the user.”Irina really needed to do some research to have evidence of Isabella being wrong about cell phones.

“How many of those studies looked into the effect that cell phones have on the soul? I bet not even one.”Isabella knew that no one considered how a cell phone would affect a soul when they invented them.

“What are you talking about?”Rosalie was very confused as to what the argument was about.

“Isabella is of the belief that cell phone steal your soul and refuses to use one.”Irina didn’t know how to change Isabella’s mind either. She really wanted her mate to carry one so they could keep in contact when they were separated.

“It’s not just my belief it’s a fact. They do steal your soul.”Isabella told her.

Rosalie laughed.”Are you joking around?”

“Unfortunately she is in no way joking. As a matter of fact before we left the castle the queens gave me the cell phone they got for her because she refuses to even touch it or carry it on her person.”Irina explained.

“You really think cell phones steal souls?”Rosalie had never heard anything so silly.

Isabella nodded.”I fully believe it and no one will change my mind.”

“How do you feel about land lines?”Rosalie asked.

“Land lines are fine. They have a physical way to connect with the other line. Cell phones are connected to the ether. When used they snatch souls from it.”Isabella didn’t mind land lines because they were real and she cold touch every part of them.

“Well we have a land line at the house in Carlisle’s office. If you want you can call your mothers using it.”Rosalie suggested.

“That’s a wonderful idea.”Irina could already feel the stress headache forming start to dissipate now that there was a way for Isabella to contact her mothers.

“That is acceptable.”Isabella would like to speak to her mothers.

“Good then let’s get going so you can call your mothers.”Rosalie was happy that she had given her mate a way to speak to the queens. She did wonder how she was going to change Isabella’s mind on cell phones. Just the idea of being away from Isabella without a way to contact the dragon made her feel panicky. Rosalie would have to brainstorm with Irina and maybe even the queens. It seemed like they were just as frustrated with the situation and they knew Isabella better than Rosalie and Irina. Rosalie was sure they would figure out a way to convince the dragon cell phones were safe. Maybe Isabella was still feeling a bit of culture shock having only woke up a month ago. Being asleep for a century would have her missing out on a lot of advancement in technology. Rosalie wondered what else Isabella was against. She wanted to be prepared for any future fights with the dragon. Future fights Rosalie was sure they were going to have because if Isabella hated cell phones there had to be other modern conveniences that the ancient didn’t trust.
