“Lady Black you are late.”Bellatrix’s voice thundered through the room as Hermione tried to quietly sneak in after the class had already started. That action irritated Bellatrix because she was looking forward to Hermione seeing her in her professor role. Bellatrix didn’t truly blame Hermione for being late. It was obviously Andromeda’s fault. After receiving the vaguely worded patronus that just said that she and Hermione wouldn’t be at lunch Bellatrix had tried to find the pair but had no such luck. Even Narcissa came up with nothing. That meant that Andromeda warded their location from them which pissed Bellatrix off more. She was planning on having words with the middle Black sister the first chance she got. Even knowing it wasn’t Hermione’s fault Bellatrix still had to punish her. A punishment that Bellatrix would get enjoyment out of.

“Sorry Professor Black I was kept late by Healer Black.”Hermione used their titles when they were in their classrooms.

Bellatrix frowned at being called Professor Black. She didn’t like it but it wouldn’t do to play favorites.”Be that as it may you are still late. As punishment you will spend the afternoon with me in detention. Now take your seat.”

“Oh course Professor Black.”Hermione took a seat next to Neville in the front of the room.

“Now then for all of you who don’t know me my name is Bellatrix Black.”Bellatrix was cut off by Gerold.

“Your last name is Lestrange not Black.”Gerold wouldn’t let Bellatrix claim his family.

“I legally changed my last name back to Black. It is no longer Lestrange. What we are going to be…”Bellatrix was once again cut off by Gerold.

“I didn’t give you permission to use the last name Black. That means your last name is Lestrange.”Gerold would never give her permission either.

“It’s a good thing I got permission from the rightful Head of Household then. Permission she was more than happy to give. Isn’t that right Lady Black?”Bellatrix was going to put the boy in his place once and for all.

“Of course Lady Black. You have more of a right to use the last name Black than Gerold does. Especially once I disinherit him and burn him off the tapestry on the day I claim my title.”Hermione was going to do a lot of thing the day she claimed her titles.

“You can’t disinherit me!! I’m going to disinherit you!”Gerold was the one who had the authority to make decisions for the family not Hermione.

“That’s funny because the threat your mother sent her said that Hermione was to disinherit your inbred father then disinherit herself. Or else she would make Hermione regret the day she was born. So you and your mommy should get your plans straight.”Bellatrix was pleased with the students whispering to each other. It would have the threats well known by dinner time.

“If she doesn’t do as we say she will regret the day she was born and so will you and your sisters.”Gerold wasn’t afraid of Hermione or the Black sisters.

Seeing Hermione’s hand raised Bellatrix called on her.”Yes, Lady Black.”

“If Gerold just wants to talk about fairy tales can he leave the classroom. We have all been looking forward to learning Defense Against the Dark Arts taught by an Order of Merlin First Class recipient war hero and he is ruining it.”Hermione didn’t want to listen to Gerold anymore.

Bellatrix smiled.”That is an excellent idea. Gerold do you wish to continue running your mouth or are you going to shut up and try to learn something. Before you decide if the next thing out of your mouth isn’t about Defense Against the Dark Arts you will be receiving punishment in the way of two months worth of detentions with Mr.Flich and the loss of many house point and I warn you unlike Prof.Malfoy I won’t stop at 50.”

“Gerold keep your mouth shut.”A random Gryffindor student called out.

“They are trying to claim my house!”Gerold yelled.

“You fucking idiot. It isn’t your house. It never was.”Pansy yelled back.

“It is my house!! I am the heir.”Gerold was the one in charge of the Black family.

“Ten seconds Gerold.”Bellatrix warned.

“Gerold if you don’t shut up I will make you.”A female Gryffindor student threatened.

Gerold shot to his feet.”I’m not afraid of you. I’m not afraid of anyone. Especially not the imposter and the sisters.”

“Gerold of no house to speak of you just earned yourself two months detention with Mr.Flinch and 100 points taken away from Gryffindor for not only disrespecting your professor but for threatening more than one student with violence. That and verbal assault as well as making false claims on Lady Black’s property. Now are you going to sit down and keep your mouth shut or should I just continue adding on to your punishment. I doubt your housemates appreciate you being the reason they started with a 150 point deficit this year.”When Bellatrix had seen the Gryffindors in the negative she had laughed out loud.

“Can we kick him out of our house?”A boy in the back of the room wearing Gryffindor colors asked.

“I shouldn’t have been put in your house anyway. It was me who was meant to be Salazar’s heir. Hermione tricked the hat just like Dumbledore did for me.”Gerold was positive that he was supposed to be Salazar’s heir.

Pansy along with most of the class laughed.”Salazar himself spoke directly to Hermione and told her he personally picked her. How in any way were supposed to be the heir?”

“I just told you she tricked him. That ring and all the other perks are my birthright. As is the title of Head of the House of Black.”Gerold was getting really pissed off no one was supporting him.

“Alright I’m taking this as you aren’t going to sit down and keep your mouth shut. I’m increasing your punishment to four months detention with Mr.Flich and am taking a total of 150 points away from Gryffindor. Now Gerold please escort yourself to the headmistress’ office because she will deal with you from now on.”Bellatrix knew Minerva was expecting him after Bellatrix having to send Draco to her that morning.

“Gerold leave before you do anymore damage.”One of students in the middle row shouted.

Gerold looked around for anyone that was on his side and found nothing but looks of anger and disgust with a few looks of pity. Grabbing his bag he stormed out of the room stopping at the door to call over his shoulder.”I am going to throw a party the day I officially disinherit you, the imposter and your sisters.”

“I’ll be awaiting the invitation.”Bellatrix called after him. Waiting until Gerold slammed the door shut Bellatrix turned her attention to the class.”Alright now that we have taken care of that toddler let’s get started.”

“Bella you were crazy good.”Hermione gushed once the class had ended and it was just Bellatrix and her alone in the classroom. Hermione was officially in detention so they were staying in the classroom together. Detention that consisted of Bellatrix sitting in her desk chair holding Hermione on her lap.

“Do you think so pet?”Bellatrix was still somewhat unsure if she was a good professor or not.

“Are you kidding you were awesome. I have never been in a class before that every single student is so focused on the professor.  No one wanted to miss a single word of what you were going to say. Even the students with parents that dislike you were enthralled. It was incredible.”Hermione had never seen a crowd so into the topic that was being discussed before.

“I have found that I like teaching. Especially with you as one of my students.”Bellatrix had felt an extra kick of energy anytime she saw Hermione sitting there looking at her with the bright smile on her face that she reserved for the sisters. It made her feel good that she was teaching Hermione how to protect herself.

“Did you have any problems this morning?”Hermione knew that Draco was in her class.

“Of course I did.”Bellatrix confirmed.

“What did he do?”Hermione asked.

“He tried to take over my class and intimidate me. Then he made a bunch of threats about what he would do if I didn’t move out of Malfoy Manor and give him access to the Malfoy vault. I asked him why I would do that when he wasn’t the heir and he went on an angry rant about your claim being false and something that me and my sisters made up to gain control of the most respectable pureblood house in the world.”Bellatrix smiled when Hermione laughed.

“I think after Lucius’ trial no one can claim the Malfoy family as respectable. I dare say the Wesleys are more respectable than the Malfoy family.”Hermione wouldn’t even claim the family if she didn’t want to get it out of Lucius’ and Draco’s hands.

“They became more respectable the day Molly changed her name back to Prewett. Something she did to try and distance herself from the scandal and latch on to her brothers’ good reputation.”Bellatrix thought it was a stupid move because it made many people ask her brothers why they invited her back into the family and the men repeatedly told the press they had not. That kept the story a constant in the papers.

“How did you handle him?”Hermione wondered how Bellatrix took care of the problem.

“I offered to duel him for the right to the entire Malfoy estate including the vault. He of course blustered and refused so not only did I laugh at him most of the class did to. After that I told him to sit down and shut up to which he replied with some impressive threats laced with curse words then I sent him to Minerva to deal with. After giving him two months detention with Mr.Flinch and took 50 points from Slytherin which pained my heart to do.”Bellatrix hated taking the points from Hermione’s house but she couldn’t let Draco get away with his behavior.

“Do you think he was a problem in Cissa’s class.”Hermione asked.

“Speaking of Cissa.”Bellatrix pulled out her wand and called forth her patronus.”Take this message to Andy and Cissa. Hermione is with me serving detention.”

Hermione watched the black raven fly away.”Your patronus is so cool.”

“I like it. As to Cissa. I can guarantee the boy will have been a problem. This is his first chance to speak to any of us in person after years of us ignoring him. Those years for him have been likely spent with the Greengrass family filling his head with how great he is and how much we have wronged him with our false claims on his family. A family that he should be in charge of. That hatred and animosity has been building since the day he was born. There is no way he would be able to hold back the first chance he got to speak to us.”Bellatrix expected the boy to continue to act out.

“Gerold is the same way but his is a false entitlement. I don’t get why his family thought just because you are related that you should pay all his expenses and let him live on a Malfoy or Lestrange property.”Hermione never understood why they thought they were entitled to anything from the sisters.

“That woman had a clear plan when getting pregnant with Sirius’ child. That was to marry him and become the matriarch of a pureblood house. Then she would raise her son as the heir to that same house and secure her future as a pampered woman with free reign to spend all the gold she wanted, be waited on by house elves and never have to work a day in her life ever again. After it fell through she was just scrambling because we have no access to the Black estate. Narcissa and I through our marriages and Andromeda was cut off when she was disowned. The mother had no legal way to get anything from us.”Bellatrix had paid a lot of gold to the family’s lawyer over the years to keep that woman from getting anything from them.

“That’s likely why she teamed up with the Greengrass family. Them being even bigger idiots because Draco wouldn’t get anything unless Lucius died. If I was them I would try and be nice to you guys not to sue you and attack you in the press.”Hermione would have been extra nice to the sisters if she was that family.

“They stopped attacking us in the press after we sued them. That settlement they still haven’t paid off.”Bellatrix didn’t expect them to. She did enjoy mentioning it was still unpaid every so often when speaking to the press.

Before either one could reply the door to the classroom opened with a bang followed by an enraged Andromeda rushing in.”Bella how dare you give her detention when you now full well it was my fault she was late!”

“It doesn’t matter why she was late she was and the entire classroom witnessed it. She got a light punishment but she had to be punished so others didn’t think they could get away with it.”Bellatrix didn’t like punishing Hermione but she had to in this case.

Andromeda’s anger deflated hearing that.”Well I still don’t like it and Cissa is pissed at you about it.”

“Why is Cissa pissed?”Bellatrix asked.

“She doesn’t think Hermione deserves detention for something I did.”Andromeda explained.

“Where is Cissa?”Hermione would have thought that she would have been there by now.

“She was on her way to the headmistress’ office to speak to her about Draco.”Andromeda had passed her in the hallway.

“He gave me problems too. I had to send him to Minerva because he wouldn’t settle down.”Bellatrix couldn’t wait until they were learning spells so she could hurt the boy.

“Bella offered to duel him for the rights to the Malfoy estate including the vault but he wouldn’t do it.”Hermione smiled when Andromeda laughed.

Andromeda pulled a chair up to Bellatrix’s desk and took a seat.“If he ever does let me know because I want to watch.”

“I fear it will be Hermione that both Draco and Gerold will try to duel. Except they are likely to try when her back is turned.”Bellatrix thought both boys were dishonorable enough to do it.

“They both would be stupid to kill me because without me they would have no access to the Houses until their fathers died.Their fathers being relatively young will likely hold out at least a couple more decades before they give up. Both men are arrogant enough to believe they will be saved and that belief will push through the depression of being in Azkaban. That being the case they need me to at least disinherit their fathers first then they should kill me.”At least that’s what Hermione would do.

Bellatrix smiled.”That right there is proof you were the perfect person for Salazar to choose as his heir.”

“I actually found out something interesting this afternoon about each founder’s heirs.”Andromeda had snuck away to the library to do some research.

“Did you find out who Salazar picked before me?”Hermione asked.

Andromeda shook her head.”I didn’t but that was because Salazar has never had an heir. The other founders have had many but Salazar hasn’t had even one.”

“Was there a reason for that?”Bellatrix figured there had to be.

“I didn’t see anything that would tell me why. Something of interest I found was that apparently Salazar was the last of the Slytherin line. He had no children or other relatives alive when he died. The blood line is extinct. Hermione is is the first Slytherin family member to exist since Salazar took his last breath.”Andromeda felt honored to have a soul bond with Hermione knowing that her house’s founder picked her to carry on his line.

“How is the Dark Lord going to explain that?”Hermione didn’t think the insane man would stop claiming to be the heir.

“He will say that he has a stronger claim due to his blood relation to Salazar. Even though we know it’s a lie.”Bellatrix knew that the Dark Lord wouldn’t admit it.

“If we are lucky we won’t have to deal with him for a few more years.”Andromeda hated they didn’t have a time line for when the next war would start. Just that Hermione would be a student a Hogwarts when it did.

Before the conversation could continue the door slammed open once again this time with an angry faced Narcissa entering.”Bella why did you give Hermione detention?!”

“I gave her detention because she was extremely late and if I didn’t others would have thought they could get away with the same thing. Anyway it isn’t like it’s an actual detention she has been sitting on my lap this whole time just talking.”Bellatrix told her.

Narcissa secured the door.”Well I would prefer she not be given detention for something Andy did.”

“I said the same thing.”Andromeda didn’t want Hermione getting detention because of her.

“Well maybe next time don’t make her late. Especially if it isn’t my or Cissa’s classes. Then she will get a real detention.”Bellatrix warned.

“She doesn’t need a real detention anytime soon. If she got one she would have to spend time with Gerold and Draco. Both boys have detention for the next five months straight.”Narcissa liked that they were going to be miserable most of the school year.

“How bad are their house points?”Hermione didn’t want Slytherin to be too much in the hole.

Narcissa gave Hermione a sad smile.”Slytherin are negative 120 and Gryffindor are negative 210.”

“I don’t think we are getting the cup this year.”Hermione didn’t think Draco was done losing them house points.

“I don’t think you are either.”Andromeda agreed that Draco was not done losing house points.

“It’s not only Draco who lost points in my class. He has found himself a little posse that joined in on his comments and statements.”Narcissa was not pleased with the small group that formed around Draco.

“Who are they?”Bellatrix asked.

“Nott jr., Crabbe jr., Blaise Zabini, Doyle and Daphne Greengrass.”Narcissa was somewhat surprised about Blaise as she had always thought she and his mother Isabelle were friends.

“Isabelle’s son is targeting you?”Andromeda was just as surprised by that as she had also been friendly with the woman when they were at Hogwarts together.

“I doubt she knows what her son is up to because they’re no way she would let him align against us. Not only has she always hated the Malfoy family she is smart enough to know that Hermione is going to be the most politically powerful, influential, wealthiest magic user in all of Britain. Isabelle isn’t a fool she knows which side is smarter to back in this war.”Bellatrix knew for a fact that Isabelle didn’t know her son was causing problems for the sisters and Hermione. The woman was too smart to allow her son to isolate her family from Hermione.

“If he keeps it up we should send her a letter about it.”Narcissa suggested.

“What did Minerva say about the situation?”Bellatrix wanted to known how Minerva was going to handle things.

“She said that the next time either you or I have problems with them whether it be inside of class or out that she was going to call Gerold’s mother and Lady Greengrass in to speak to them about the boys behavior and to give the pair a formal written warning that if they continue to cause problems they were going to be expelled.”Narcissa was happy with that.

“That is why Minerva is a good headmistress. Dumbledore would have refused to get involved and likely would have encouraged the boys to act out.”Andromeda said.

“Andy ran into Gerold at lunch.”Hermione told them.

“It wasn’t a big deal he was just telling me that our grand plan of getting close to the imposter as likes to call Hermione to get control over the Black family estate and the vault wouldn’t work. That he would never allow us to have control over his family. I laughed at him and asked him why would we want control over the Black family which seemed to confuse him for a second but before he could respond I told him that I pitied him because if he was a good person Hermione would have handed over the entire estate to him without hesitation.”Andromeda was lying. There was no way anyone would let Hermione give away any of her titles. She was just wanted to mess with the boy.

“That’s going to be a small piece of doubt in the back of his mind for the rest of his life.”Bellatrix couldn’t have thought of a better way than to mess with the boy than turning his own mind against him.

“I have classes with him tomorrow but they aren’t classes with either of you.”Hermione would prefer all her classes were with Bellatrix and Narcissa.

“I’ll check in on you.”Andromeda wouldn’t interrupt the classes but she would peak in the windows.

“Thanks Andy.”Hermione made a move to get up and hug Andromeda but Bellatrix held her in her seat.

“She got you all lunch by herself you are fine right where you are.”Bellatrix hadn’t forgotten that Andromeda had stolen Hermione from her at lunch.

“Yes sister dear why didn’t you invite myself and Bella on your outing.”Narcissa was more upset she didn’t think of having a private meal with Hermione first.

“I wanted to share some time with Hermione during the school day by myself as both of you get to have her in your classes.”Andromeda felt it was only fair she get to see Hermione during the day.

“Next time invite us.”Bellatrix would have to find a better locator spell to put on Hermione because Andromeda was able to block her usual one. It was working now however.

“Sure.”Andromeda lied. She had no intentions of inviting her sisters to her next outing with Hermione.”In better news Hermione has convinced the staircase not to hate me.”

“That was very sweet of you darling.”Narcissa smiled when Hermione blushed.

“It’s no big deal. It’s just a staircase.”Hermione didn’t do anything that important.

“It’s a big deal to me because every time I climb it I’m usually stuck on it for twenty minutes while it messes with me.”Andromeda still had to hold her tongue every time she was on the staircase because she didn’t want to make it upset with her again.

Narcissa looked down at her watch.”It’s time for dinner and I think you have more than completed your punishment.”

“Let my strict punishment be a warning next time you think of causing trouble pet.”Bellatrix was going to have to come up with some fun punishments to do with Hermione in the future.

“I have been appropriately scared off of further punishments Bella.”Hermione told her as she stood from Bellatrix’s lap.

Andromeda immediately pulled Hermione into a hug.”I’m sorry for getting you in trouble little one.”

“It was worth it to experience such a nice lunch with you.”Hermione didn’t mind getting detention if it let her have a chance to have a picnic with Andromeda.

“There’s that charm again.”Narcissa said as she pulled Hermione away from a huffing Andromeda and gave Hermione a hug.

“Let’s get to dinner. I have some work to do in Hermione’s room that I want to finish tonight.”Bellatrix locked and warded her desk then followed Hermione and her sisters out of the room. She locked and warded the door as well. She didn’t trust any of the students except for Hermione and maybe Neville not to mess with something to try and hurt her. Bellatrix still had many enemies from not only the war but ones that just hated her for no reason like Molly. Now she was getting hate over Hermione claiming her titles. Not that that Bellatrix really cared. Her soulmate loved her and thought Bellatrix was the greatest person in the world. Even knowing all her wrong doings Hermione was still her biggest supporter and that would never change. Only interference from the gods themselves could break up the relationship Bellatrix had with Hermione. They both were completely devoted to each other and that would never change. Proof being Denis and Jean’s relationship. The pair were the perfect representation of how a soulmate relationship was supposed to be.
