Soul Bound 16

“Hey how did it go?”Jean asked when Andromeda and her sisters entered the Granger’s home. The trio had just spent the day finalizing Andromeda’s divorce from Ted. It took a month to be done with it. The reason being Ted was trying to get everything. He wanted the house, the contents of Andromeda’s vault, alimony, child support and he even wanted to be compensated for pain and suffering. Andromeda had to talk Bellatrix out killing him more than once in the last four weeks. Other than dealing with Ted the rest of the month had been a happy time for Andromeda. She cut her hours at work and had been able to spend more time with her daughter, Hermione and her sisters. Well when her sisters weren’t busy at the ministry helping the prosecution prepare for the upcoming trials.

“There was yelling, threats were made, hopes were dashed and lots of tears were shed. All those things done by Ted. The rest of us behaved like adults.”Andromeda told her.

Jean chuckled.”I’m not surprised.”

“Where is Hermione?”Bellatrix asked.

“I put her down for a nap.”Jean smiled when Bellatrix immediately went up stairs.

“How long has she been asleep?”Narcissa was hoping she would wake up soon.

Jean looked at her watch.”She should be waking up any minute.”

“I’m going to go check on her.”Narcissa wanted to be the first one to hold Hermione when she woke up.

“What’s my daughter up to?”Andromeda wanted to check on Nymphadora before she sought out Hermione.

“She and Denis are out back playing with rockets.”Jean told her.

“What is a rocket?”Andromeda had learned a lot about the muggle world but she was still confused by most of what Jean and Denis talked about.

“Go out back and they will show you.”Jean found that having visual aides helped the sisters and Nymphadora understand things better.

Andromeda made her way through the house, out the back door, catching sight of Nymphadora holding a black box standing next to Denis the pair of them both looking at the sky. Andromeda looked where they were focused and saw what looked like a small metal tower with a piece of material above it falling through the air.”Is that a rocket?”

“Mom, look what Denis and I built.”Nymphadora pointed to the rocket.

“I see. What does it do?”Andromeda asked.

“A rocket is a machine that has the ability to fly high up in the sky. The one we built is extremely small.”Denis explained.

“I saw one fly to the moon on tv.”Nymphadora told her mother.

“A rocket can fly to the moon?”Andromeda wasn’t sure she believed that.

“Many rockets have flown not only to the moon but other parts of outer space. Usually they have people we call astronauts riding in them when they travel.”Denis made a note to get a book about space travel. He had a feeling that it would interest the sisters and Nymphadora.

“Muggles have been to the moon?”Andromeda wouldn’t even have thought it was possible.

“Many times. As matter a of fact they have brought back things like rocks and dirt from it.”Denis said.

“Amazing.”Andromeda really didn’t understand why magic users thought muggles were so primitive. If anything it was the magical world that was primitive compared to the muggles.

“Do you want to try it mom?”Nymphadora asked holding out the black box.

“Sure.”Andromeda took the box from her. She wanted to see the rocket in action.”What do I need to do?”

“I will set it up.”Denis jogged over to where the rocket landed.

“Have you had fun today?”Andromeda asked her daughter. She felt bad using Jean and Denis as babysitters but she trusted them more than anyone else who was an option. Plus Nymphadora always had a great time with the couple.

Nymphadora nodded.”Jean let me help her make grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch.”

“I bet you did a wonderful job helping her.”Andromeda really needed to figure out a way to thank Jean and Denis for all they did for her and her sisters. The pair weren’t obligated to allow even a quarter of the things they allowed the sisters to do but they always went above and beyond to accommodate the trio’s wants and needs. Even when if it meant babysitting one of their daughter’s soulmate’s children.

“I didn’t burn a single one.”Nymphadora told her.

“Well I’m glad you had a good time.”That was another thing Andromeda was thankful to Jean and Denis for. Every time Nymphadora visited they went out their way to make sure she had fun. The girl had stopped asking to spend time doing things in the magical world and had started requesting spending time at the Granger’s. It made Andromeda hopeful that when the time came that Nymphadora would be alright with moving in with the couple.

“Alright we are all ready.”Denis said. He pointed to the red glowing button on the black box Andromeda was holding in her hands.”You just push that button and the rocket will launch.”

Andromeda pushed the button jumping back in shock when the rocket made a large booming sound and shot off into the air.”Merlin’s balls!”

“Isn’t it cool?”Nymphadora asked.

“It is very cool and I predict Bella is going to enjoy playing with it.”Andromeda could already imagine all the trouble Bellatrix would get into with a rocket. Especially if she got her hands on a bigger one then the one Andromeda just launched.

Denis chuckled.”Dora said the same thing.”

“Speaking of your aunt. Would you both mind if I go join her and check on Hermione?”Andromeda was hoping the rocket would distract Bellatrix and she would only have to fight Narcissa to hold Hermione.

“That’s fine.”Denis wasn’t done playing with the rocket yet and didn’t mind watching Nymphadora while he did.

Andromeda kissed Nymphadora on the head and gave her a hug.”Be good for Denis.”

“Ok.”Nymphadora replied.

“Have fun.”Andromeda told them. Making her way in the house she was sad to see that Narcissa was sitting at the kitchen table feeding Hermione a bottle. Andromeda had wanted to have the chance. She took a seat next to her sister with Bellatrix on the other side of Narcissa and Jean in the chair on the other end of the table. Seeing a tea service set out Andromeda took an empty tea cup and made herself some tea.

“How are the two of them doing out there? Have they set anything on fire yet?”Jean asked.

“Nothing has been destroyed yet. They are having a great time though. I honestly can’t say who is happier Dora or Denis.”Andromeda smiled when Jena laughed.

“Probably Denis. He is an overgrown child. It stems from the way his family treated him growing up. They didn’t believe in letting their children waste time playing with toys or playing at all. If it wasn’t for Sofia he likely would have never gotten a gift for his birthday or the holidays that wasn’t something educational or related to running a business.”Jean remembered Denis crying the first time she gave him a gift. They were 9 and she gave him a Transformer toy because he had told Jean about how all the boys in his class at school had one but him. Jean had asked Sofia to help her to get one for him and after hearing Jean’s reason for getting it for Denis Sofia bought him the most expensive one she could find.

“That’s kind of like our childhood. If it weren’t for grandmother Sofia we would have only gotten clothes and beauty products.”Narcissa enjoyed receiving the clothes because even though their mother was hateful towards Narcissa and her sisters the woman made sure they were dressed in only the best high quality clothing.

“You forgot the books about how to please your husband and be a proper housewife.”Bellatrix burned those books the first chance she got.

“My parents were just as strict as Denis’ but my paternal grandparents were kind to me. Although it was mostly because I have what’s considered rather powerful magic for a squib and they were sure I was going to have a magical child that would attend Hogwarts. They wanted to have my favor when that happened.”Jean was under no illusions that her grandparents actually cared for her.

“They were right.”Andromeda said.

“Even if they are I’m not letting anyone from that community near Hermione. Denis and I are going to go out of our way to make sure they never find out about her magic.”Jean didn’t want them bothering them.

“Did you have any friends within your community?”Bellatrix asked.

“That environment doesn’t encourage friendships. Play dates were really chances for children to form alliances. If it wasn’t for Sofia interfering Denis and I wouldn’t have been allowed to marry because my family wanted me to marry someone with magic to increase the chances of having a magical child. With Sofia’s position in pureblood society they couldn’t go against her though.”Jean was extremely thankful that Sofia did step in. 

“How did Sofia explain her presence in your life without it getting back to anyone in the magical world?”Narcissa couldn’t figure that part out.

“Purebloods never involve themselves in the squib community. It was actually pureblood squibs who set it up not their families. When someone shows magic like I did the squib family contacts the Head of Household by sending them a letter by owl. They never see us in person nor do they care to. That being the case no one would even have a reason to inform anyone. That and they all wanted Sofia’s favor like Denis and I had. Another reason was that they thought she was visiting when she wasn’t supposed to and no one dared expose her secret because she did invest in the community regularly and they didn’t want her generosity to stop.”Jean explained.

“I hate that she didn’t take us with her. It would have been nice to meet you and Denis earlier in life.”Andromeda would’ve liked accompanying Sofia on her visits to Jean’s community.

“You have quite a few years on us so I doubt you would have wanted to spend your time with children when you were teenagers.”Jean said.

“Does our age difference with Hermione bother you?”Narcissa had worried it would.

Jean shook her head.”Not at all but that is mostly because magic users are long lived. If you weren’t it would bother me that Hermione didn’t have that many years to spend with you.”

“I’m grateful for that.”Bellatrix wished she and Hermione were the same age but was thankful they would still have decades to spend together. Thinking of Jean’s community brought up something that Bellatrix was wondering about but kept forgetting to ask.”You have never mentioned it but what families do you and Denis come from? And why is your last name Granger?”

“My maiden name is Malfoy but my mother’s family was the Shafiqs. Denis’ last name is Black and his mother’s maiden name was Prewett. Hermione’s real last name is Black but we use Granger to hide the three of us from our squib community.”Jean explained.

Narcissa smiled proudly at Hermione.”I always knew you were a proper Black.”

“She will have to change it back when she steps into the magical world.”Bellatrix wanted Hermione to represent the Black family when she stepped into magical society.

“That was the plan. Sofia just recommended that we change our last name so that our squib community couldn’t find us.”Jean told her.

“It will work out well when I go to claim magical guardianship over her.”Narcissa had won the duel against Bellatrix and got the right to be Hermione’s magical guardian.

“You cheated.”Bellatrix grumbled.

“You opted for no rules.”Andromeda reminded her.

“Yeah, yeah.”Bellatrix was kicking herself for not forbidding Narcissa from using mind magic during the fight. Having someone in her head creating false memories of her winning the duel was of course going to make Bellatrix lose.

“So how did it go at court? You are officially divorced now right?”Jean asked.

“Yes I am now legally single again.”Andromeda was extremely happy about that.

“Did Ted get anything he asked for?”Jean knew the man was asking for an insane amount of gold for various reasons.

”All Ted got was a verbal beating by the judge.”Bellatrix had enjoyed every second of it.

“The judge declined his request for alimony, child support, pain and suffering and refused to give him ownership of the house. When Ted asked where he suppose to live and how was he supposed to support himself and Dora without the house, the alimony and the child support the judge went on an angry rant where he pointed out all of Ted’s flaws. Ted tried to defend himself by saying he was a stay at home dad but the judge used Dora’s own testimony that she gave the judge in private as proof that Ted barely spent time with the girl. That was also the reason that I got full custody with Ted only getting visitations if I allow them. Which I will not.”Andromeda couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. 

“I’m surprised Ted didn’t get some visitation.”Jean said.

“The judge said that based on Dora’s testimony he determined that Ted was a negative influence on Dora’s life. He actually recommended Andy not let him see her.”Narcissa agreed with the judge on that.

“Has Dora even asked about him since you left your home?”Jean hadn’t heard the girl talk about her father at all.

Andromeda shook her head.”She’s made comments about him that are mostly focused on him doing something stupid but she hasn’t asked to see him or talk to him. If anything she has seemed happier since we moved out.”

“Now we have to get Ted removed from that house and clean it up to sell it.”Bellatrix was hoping Ted didn’t leave and she could throw all his belongings on the lawn and burn them.

“It’s going to be a fight to get him out.”Andromeda predicted that they were going to have to get the aurors involved.

“I say we go there, pack all his stuff and bring it to his parent’s home.”Narcissa suggested.

“That’s a good idea.”Andromeda didn’t want to see Ted’s parents but if it got him out of the house she would do it.”He will likely move back in with them anyway.”

Bellatrix groaned.”You just ruined my plans to throw all his shit on the lawn and burn it.”

“Bella language.”Narcissa scolded. She removed the bottle from Hermione’s mouth, set it on the table then moved Hermione’s body so she could pat the baby on the back. She smiled when Hermione let out a soft burp.”Good job sweetheart.”

“She’s so cute.”Andromeda thought Hermione and Nymphadora were the two cutest babies that ever existed.

“I can’t wait to get the magical photos taken of her.”Bellatrix had visited the photographer Narcissa picked out and looked through all the picture themes they offered. She found 8 she was definitely going to get.

“The muggle ones are adorable.”Narcissa liked the one of her holding Hermione with the baby wearing her quidditch uniform the best. She actually carried it and a few others on her person everywhere she went. Plus she had some larger ones framed hanging in her room and there were others hanging in her sisters’ rooms and around the manor. Narcissa had commissioned one into a painting that they hung where Lucius had hung his own portrait. Even Nymphadora agreed that Hermione was a lot nicer to look at than Lucius.

“I’m going to get a photoshoot done with Dora. I did one every year with Ted but I want some done with all of us.”Andromeda wanted some pictures of their little family.”I’m thinking we should do muggle ones as well.”

“I don’t mind getting muggle or magical photos taken with Dora.”Bellatrix said.

“It would be nice to have some to hang around the manor.”Narcissa thought that would be the ultimate disrespect to Lucius and his family. 

“Did you get a date for the trials yet?”Jean knew that the sisters were going to stop by the prosecutor’s office while they were at the ministry.

“Yes, Lucius’ is in one week. They plan on presenting all the evidence and the other witnesses then calling Bella and leaving me for last.”Narcissa told her.

“It’s a good strategy. You will have the most impact because the man is your husband.”Jean thought it was smart calling Narcissa last.

Narcissa smiled lovingly at Hermione now sleeping in her arms.“He won’t be my husband forever. Once this little one is old enough both myself and Bella will be free.”

“I worry he will try to divorce you after the trial.”Andromeda wouldn’t put it past Lucius to try.”You know Sirius would agree to it just to spite us.”

“That’s why it’s so important to get the contents out of the Malfoy vault.”Bellatrix wanted it out soon.

“Do you think we should set up the vault for Hermione before the trial?”Jean didn’t want Hermione’s inheritance to be touched by anyone but her.

Andromeda thought about it.”He needs gold to pay his lawyer. I think it would be best if Cissa moves everything right after he is sentenced. Like right after the sentencing is over she walks from the ministry to the bank and does it.”

“Does myself and Denis both have to go or can I go with you by myself?”Jean knew that Denis didn’t feel safe in the magical world because he had no magic. Jean’s magic wasn’t that strong but it was strong enough that she could defend herself against small attacks.

“Just one of you.”Bellatrix was going to go with them to make sure no one disrespected the couple.

“They will make you do a blood test but the results won’t be told to anyone. The only type that is revealed to the public is when a new Head of Household takes over. Then the ministry is alerted and they always leak the information.”Narcissa wasn’t worried about Hermione being found out until she got her Hogwarts’ letter.

“Then I’m free to go with you anytime in the next month. Then we are opening the practice back up.”Jean was going to miss being home with Hermione all day but she did really love her job. So did Denis.

“When you go back to work we can watch Hermione while you are gone if you want.”Bellatrix offered.

“Oh I thought that was always the plan.”Jean thought it was a given that the sisters would watch Hermione.

“It was.”Narcissa wasn’t going to let some stranger watch Hermione.

“I always thought so.”Andromeda like Narcissa would never let a stranger watch her soulmate.

“Good because I would be upset if we weren’t the ones who took care of her.”Bellatrix was going to be Hermione’s main babysitter of course.

“I think Hermione would be to.”Jean knew that she always preferred to spend time with her soulmate over anybody else. 

Bellatrix leaned over and smiled seeing Hermione sleeping with her hand in her mouth.”We are going to have so many fun adventures  my love.”

“I’m just glad you all are magic users because if you weren’t we would go bankrupt paying for all the repairs to the house and lawns I fear those adventures are going to result in needing.”Jean had no doubt once Hermione was old enough Bellatrix and Denis were going to get her involved in all kinds of mischief.

“Hogwarts won’t know what hit it with Hermione as a student and Bella as a teacher there at the same time.”Andromeda and Narcissa had a bet on how soon after Hermione started she would get detention.

“I would prefer that you not get her into trouble Bella but I’m not going to stop her from having fun.”The only way Narcissa would step in is if Hermione got hurt. Then she would kill her sister. Well not completely kill her. Just murder her a little bit. That way Narcissa didn’t get put in Azkaban and be forced to be away from Hermione.

“She isn’t even talking yet and she already has you wrapped around her finger.”Andromeda said.

“Like you aren’t just as effected.”Narcissa wasn’t embarrassed about her devotion to her soulmate.

“I’m not ashamed to admit to being wrapped around her finger.”Bellatrix wouldn’t have it any other way. She felt good when she was taking care of Hermione’s needs and knew she would like doing things for Hermione in the future as well.

“I’m still wrapped around Denis’ finger and we have been together since we were kids. Then again he is wrapped around my finger as well.”Jean and Denis had always gone out of their way to make each other happy. 

“It’s nice having an example of soulmates in a loving, happy relationship.”Andromeda had been concerned that even though they were soulmates Hermione would fight the bond. Seeing how Jean and Denis acted around each other eased any worry she had. The soulmate bond gave you a connection that was to great to ignore as was proven by the fact that the pair had been together so long and were still very close and happy with each other.

“We are very happy and completely in love. We have the occasional argument but usually it isn’t because we are upset with the other person we are upset with something else. We are never mean or spiteful to each other or go out of our way to purposely hurt each other. All in all it’s a rather healthy relationship that I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world.”Jean felt lucky to be matched with Denis.

“I think our relationship with Hermione will be the same.”Narcissa said.

“I bet she will yell at Bella all the time.”Andromeda knew Bellatrix would push Hermione’s buttons just for fun.

“I won’t do anything worth being yelled at.”Bellatrix was insulted her sister would say such a thing.

“Bella you love to fight and argue. You really think you aren’t going to want to do both those things with your soulmate?”Andromeda asked.

Bellatrix thought about it.”It would be fun to fight with Hermione once she is older.”

"Denis already has plans to get her signed up for karate as soon as she is old enough.”Jean was in full support of her daughter learning how to protect herself.

“What is karate?”Narcissa had never heard of such a thing.

“It’s a muggle style of self defense. Later ask Denis to show you. He has a few videos that show people doing it.”Jean and Denis’ VHS tape collection had grown very large since the sisters came into their lives as it was easier to show them how things worked than explain it.

“I will.”Narcissa wanted to see what he intended Hermione to learn.

“Have you decided if you are going to put Hermione in school?”Andromeda knew that muggles went to school when they were young.

“We figured that we would just home school her.”Seeing the confused expressions from the sisters Jean explained.”Home schooling means that instead of going to an actual school where there is a teacher Hermione would stay at home and get taught by me and Denis.”

“I like that idea.”Bellatrix didn’t want Hermione to spend all day with strangers where Bellatrix couldn’t be there to watch out for her.

“We will bring some books over so we can start teaching her about magic and the magical world when she is ready.”Narcissa too liked the idea of Hermione being home schooled. It wasn’t that she didn’t like muggles she just didn’t want Hermione to be away from her so much.

“We have the room in the library for your books that we left open for when you three and Dora move in full time.”Jean told her.

Andromeda was taken aback by that statement.”You plan on us living here full time.”

“Of course. Why do you think Sofia picked such a big house? She wanted all of us and Dora to have our own spaces.”Jean thought the sisters knew that.”I mean you all picked out your rooms already. We figured that you were waiting until things calmed down in the magical world before you made them permanent.”

Bellatrix laughed.”To think the three of us have been worrying and plotting different ways to get you to agree.”

“Maybe we should have been more clear when we gave you the initial tour.”Jean really thought it was obvious the sisters and Nymphadora would live with them.

“And you don’t mind Dora living here full time as well.”Andromeda wanted to be sure.

“We would take Dora in even if you weren’t Hermione’s soulmate. That girl is a delight to be around and brings a lot of joy to this house every time she visits.”Jean liked Nymphadora a lot and thought she would be a good influence on Hermione.

“Thank you. I admit I wasn’t sure how welcoming of her you would be seeing as I didn’t have her with Hermione.”Andromeda feared the couple would shun her because she had a child.

“If you had a sex with another person I would not be as forgiving. Then again it’s not my business how you live your lives.”Jean was cut off by Bellatrix.

“None of us have. We have all been saving ourselves for Hermione.”Bellatrix wanted it to be well known that they had always been devoted to their soulmate.

Jean smiled.”I’m happy to hear that. As to Dora with her abilities it’s obvious why you were supposed to have her. She will be an incredible help in the next war.”

“I just hope she doesn’t get resentful when she finds out why I had her.”Andromeda said.

“I think she would only be resentful if you treated her poorly. The girl loves you very much and you treat her like a princess. With that foundation Dora could never resent you.”Narcissa told her.

“The child is happy and now that you are done with Ted her life is only going to get even better. Especially once we all live here and she finishes growing up in a loving household. Why I bet she will be hesitant about going to Hogwarts because she won’t want to live away from here.”Bellatrix predicted some tears would be shed by her niece at the train station when they saw her off to Hogwarts.

“Let’s pray that Ted doesn’t do anything that will affect Dora in the future.”Andromeda wouldn’t put it past her ex husband to do something stupid that would embarrass not only himself by Nymphadora as well.

“At least Dora will find out one day that the man isn’t her real father.”Jean thought that was the only good thing that came out of Andromeda’s marriage. Her not using Ted to father her child.

“I would never willingly have a child with that man. Nor would I consider it. His magic is to weak and his not that intelligent either. That’s why I chose him for a husband. I knew that he wouldn’t question what I did with my time and as long as I covered his spending and the household expenses he wouldn’t complain about me not spending time with him. Especially when I said I was working extra shifts when in fact I didn’t work all the ones I claimed and used the gold Bella gave me to make up the difference in my pay.”Andromeda had picked Ted because he was a idiot who was easy to manipulate.

“What was his family like? You mentioned that you lived with them after you got married.”Jean wanted to know what kind of people were responsible for Ted being the man he was.

“They were just as materialistic as Ted. Everything they bought was overpriced junk. Their house was left to them along with a modest inheritance by Ted’s grandfather who died about a year before I moved in. Once they got it Ted’s parents quit their jobs and moved out of their rental into that house. Then they began spending the gold like it would never run out. They emptied the vault in about two and half years. Once it was gone they charged me and Ted rent to live with them. To make ends meet they both had to go back to work which they complain about constantly. Numerous times I had been around them they would mention me and Ted moving back into their home. I know it’s just because they wanted the rent money. Not that I would ever live with them again.”Andromeda had never even considered it.

“What was Ted’s excuse for not working?”Jean asked.

“He would get jobs but he was always fired for some kind of incompetence. Then he would claim he was unjustly let go and use the event as an excuse not to get another job until someone would say something about him not working and he would get embarrassed at being called out for it. He would then get another job to save face. The jobs he did get were basic level low paying positions because he had no skills and received poor grades at school.”Andromeda told her.

“I’m looking forward to seeing how he supports himself now that you aren’t giving him gold and he has no access to your vault.”Bellatrix was going to pay close attention to what Ted did in the future so she could laugh at his attempts to be an adult.

“It was genius not to give him access.”Narcissa said.

“Even if I did love him I wouldn’t have because he would have emptied it anytime I got paid.”Andromeda couldn’t trust Ted with any household finances.”As it was he would just buy things and have them send me the bill to pay for it. How he convinced shops to do that I still don’t know.”

“You have a good reputation and are well known to pay your debts. I have heard many people comment on it.”Narcissa was told all kinds of things about her sister when she was in public. People seemed to think Narcissa would want to know about Andromeda even though her sister had been disowned.

“I bet he is still going to send bills to you until your divorce becomes well known.”Bellatrix was planning on delivering those bills to Ted personally.

“We will deal with it when it happens. I’m just glad I don’t have to live in the same house as him anymore.”Andromeda hated every second of sharing the same space as Ted.

“We should get your lawyer to send him an official eviction notice.”Narcissa suggested.

“I think your lawyer would enjoy doing that.”Bellatrix thought the woman would whistle a happy tune while she filled out the paperwork.

“Augusta really did recommend the perfect lawyer.”Narcissa liked the woman and her attitude.

“After telling her my tale Augusta was I dare say more determined than us to make sure Ted got nothing in the divorce. I almost pity Ted the next time he runs into her because I know she won’t hold back on telling him off.”Andromeda had brought Augusta the bottle of whiskey she promised her and over a glass Andromeda told her about her situation with Ted. The old woman was infuriated by his behavior and had happily given her the name of her lawyer. That lawyer being a very talented woman who’s main hobby was taking down well connected men. Ted hadn’t stood a chance.

“I want to reach out to Alice and Frank once things calm down.”Bellatrix would like to have her friends in her life once again.

“They have been very vocal in their support of you.”Andromeda told her.

“I’m hoping that their son and Hermione will become friends.”Narcissa thought that Neville was a good candidate for a friend for Hermione.

“That’s the Longbottom family right?”Jean asked.

Bellatrix nodded.”Augusta was married to a brute of a man who died under mysterious circumstances. Many people think she murdered him but she has never admitted to doing it and there was no evidence to arrest or convict her. I personally wouldn’t blame her if she did kill him. He was well known to prey on children for sexual partners.”

“When he died her son Frank became Head of Household but because he was only 2 years old when it happened Augusta took the role for him and overhauled the entire family estate. She pulled their support from blood purity causes and stopped doing business with other pureblood houses that were known for their bigotry and abuse of non purebloods and magical creatures. It was a big deal at the time because the Longbottom family was the most powerful and wealthiest family out of the Sacred 28. I heard our father complain many times about the woman over the years because of all the gold he was losing due to her not wanting to partner with him on certain things.”Narcissa had admired Augusta for standing up for what was right.

“The Longbottoms in my community were stuck up snobs who thought they were better than everyone because one of their ancestors had been a member of the muggle government a century ago. Then again all the families were stuck up snobs. Each holding on to any kind of achievement their family members accomplished.”Jean said.

“Was there any kind of achievements in your or Denis’ families?”Andromeda wanted to know if Hermione’s family had done anything important in the muggle world.

“On Denis’ side one of his family members had been an actress who had a few small parts in some American films in the 1930’s. On mine our claim to fame was we started and still run a successful high end jewelry store in London.”Jean told her.

“We will have to see these films. As for the jewelry store it would be interesting to see what they sell.”Narcissa was going to make a visit to the jewelry store to see what Hermione’s family was doing with their lives.

“Only family members work there but they wouldn’t recognize a magic user.”Jean wouldn’t stop Narcissa from going because she too would be interested if she was the woman.

Hermione crying stopped further conversation. Narcissa rocked her gently.”What’s wrong sweetheart?”

“She probably needs a diaper change.”Bellatrix guessed.”Which it’s my turn to do.”

Narcissa wanted to fight her sister but held back because she didn’t want Jean to see them fighting and decide to keep them way from Hermione. She waited until Bellatrix stood to hand her the baby.”If she needs a bath we all get to give her one.”

“I won’t be left out again.”Andromeda missed a lot of things concerning Hermione due to taking care of Nymphadora. That’s why the middle Black sister made the most of the time she did spend with her soulmate.

“Well then you better come with us because we aren’t waiting for you.”Bellatrix told her as she made her way out of the room with Narcissa beside her.

“I’m coming.”Andromeda drained her cup of tea and gave a chuckling Jean a smile before she followed after her sisters. The day had been good so far with many things getting accomplished. Two of the most important were her divorce from Ted being finalized and Jean inviting them to live with the Grangers full time. Even Nymphadora was invited. Both of those things Andromeda was happy about. Not having to deal with Ted on a regular basis was a godsend. Andromeda honestly didn’t know how much longer she would have been able to hold off from killing him. The only reason she didn’t was she was afraid by chance she would get caught. That was not an issue anymore thankfully. Andromeda’s plan for the future was to let Bellatrix deal with him. The man deserved to be punished for how he treated Andromeda and her daughter. She and her daughter who had a standing invitation to live full time with her soulmate. Andromeda hated that they had to wait to officially move in but was excited that they got permission. Now they just needed to get through the trials and they could start living their lives. Andromeda smiled thinking about the future because it never looked brighter.
