Soul Bound 13

“What a wonderful day.”Andromeda said as she took a sip of her whiskey. She was in the library of Malfoy Manor sitting on the couch next to Narcissa while Bellatrix was sitting in an arm chair. The trio and Nymphadora spent the entire day at the Granger’s and had a great time. The video games Denis had introduced them to had gone over so well that even Narcissa took a turn. Andromeda had a feeling Nymphadora was going to ask for a system of her own and was planning to ask Denis about it when the young girl wasn’t around so Andromeda could surprise her with it. Beside the video games they played a couple board games and card games as well. None of them wanted to leave but Nymphadora needed to go to bed and they hadn’t brought the things they needed to spend the night. 

“I hate that we had to come back here.”Bellatrix didn’t want to leave the Granger’s.

“I do to.”Narcissa was planning on sneaking out in a few hours to go back.

“I’m glad Dora had fun.”Andromeda was hoping because of having such a good time that Nymphadora would be more inclined to move in with the Grangers.

“I think Denis had the most fun out of all of us.”Bellatrix didn’t think the man stopped smiling the entire time they were playing games.

“I don’t think they have any friends.”Other than his friends from school Narcissa hadn’t heard Denis or Jean mention anyone they spent time with.

“It’s got to be hard making friends in their situation. I mean they likely had to leave all their friends and family behind when they left their community. Then they have lived with the knowledge they were going to have a magical daughter that was going to save both the muggle and the magical world. They probably isolated themselves because they were afraid of Hermione getting hurt by someone.”If Andromeda was them she would keep away from others.

“That’s true. I wouldn’t want to even risk having someone around Hermione.”Narcissa said.

“Well I don’t mind being their friends. They are nice and a lot of fun. Plus they are our soulmate’s parents. It is only smart to be friends with them.”Bellatrix would have been friends with the couple even if they weren’t Hermione’s parents.

“It still surprises me how welcoming and trusting they are with us.”Narcissa had expected the couple to be somewhat wary of them not happily invite them into their home.

“That is weird but then again they have been told about us most of their lives by grandmother Sofia. They probably felt like they already knew us before we even visited them the first time.”Andromeda thought their grandmother was the reason the couple was comfortable with them.

“Regardless of why I am just happy they are. It gotten us an invitation to come over anytime we want and even spend the night.”Bellatrix was going to bring some of her personal items over and claim a room for herself. She was picking the one closest to Hermione’s room of course.

“It’s nice not to have to worry about what time it is when we get a chance to visit.”Narcissa was going do the same as Bellatrix and claim a room as her own. She too was planning on the one closest to Hermione’s.

“I have to worry about Dora’s schedule.”Andromeda would have to make plans around Nymphadora’s needs. Not that she was upset by that. She loved her daughter very much and would do anything for her. Even miss out on time with Hermione.

“It won’t be forever. After the trials are over we can speak to the Grangers about living with them. Then once we do we can all worry about Dora’s schedule.”Narcissa told her.

“I do love the idea of all of us raising her together.”Andromeda had always dreamed of her and her sisters all parenting each others children along with their own.

“I feel horribly guilty for not stepping in sooner. Something I am extreme sorry for Andy.”Bellatrix would never forgive herself for letting her sister live in the conditions she was in when living with Ted.

“It’s not your fault. I had to make it seem that I was overworked and my husband contributed nothing to the household. I could have easily bought a bigger house but people would have questioned how I could afford it. I could have also reeled in Ted’s spending but by allowing it I have another reason to divorce him. Yes I hated living there and being stuck with Ted but it gave us an in with the Order and now we have Dumbledore on our side.”Andromeda wished she could fulfill her prophesy differently but hadn’t been able to.

“It is true. You are the reason Dumbledore is so interested in us. You give him a way to get us to join the Order. Something without you being a member he knows we would never consider doing.”Narcissa and Bellatrix weren’t going to join the Order anyway but Dumbledore didn’t need to know that.

“I so wish we could get the chance to know what he is going to think when he finds out we are the reason Hermione is out of his reach.”Bellatrix bet the man would destroy something when he learned about it.

“He will throw a fit.”Narcissa said.

“It would be satisfying to see his reaction.”Andromeda would love to see the man’s face when his plans fall through.”Especially because once he knows Hermione’s connection to us he will know that the three of us manipulated him.”

“He will probably be in denial and instead of thinking we manipulated him he will think that by hiring us to work at Hogwarts he has us right where he wants us. His reasoning being that he controls Hogwarts and everything and everyone in it.”Bellatrix didn’t think Dumbledore would even realize the sisters messed with him.

“That man will never control any of us. He ruined his chance when he proclaimed our innocence in front of everyone. If I were him I would have blackmailed us into giving him our gold by using Azkaban as a threat.”Narcissa wouldn’t have let them go free if she was Dumbledore.

Bellatrix laughed.”When you say things like that it makes it obvious why you were nicknamed the Queen of Slytherin.”

“I’m still miffed I wasn’t called that.”Andromeda was not impressed that her younger sister was deemed more cunning and ruthless than she was in school.

“I predict that Hermione is going to take my nickname from me.”Narcissa would hand over the crown with pride to Hermione.

“She is going to rule all of Hogwarts.”Bellatrix knew that Hermione was going to be the most popular girl in school.

“It’s going to be hard working there and not being able to search her out constantly.”Andromeda didn’t know how she was going to stay away.

“I’m not going to stop myself. Then again I will be Hermione’s legal guardian so I will have an excuse.”Bellatrix wasn’t going to stop seeing Hermione when she became her teacher.

“It hasn’t been decided who gets to be her guardian.”Narcissa reminded her.

Andromeda changed the topic before it could turn into a fight.“I think the thing I am most excited about is her getting her wand.”

“I think she and I will have matching cores.”Bellatrix figured as soulmates her and Hermione’s wand cores would be the same.

“She could match any of us.”Narcissa would like it if she and Hermione had matching cores.

“Or she could have a very unique special wand that is compatible with all three of ours.”Andromeda said.

“That’s what will most likely happen.”Narcissa could easily see Hermione’s wand being special enough to work with all three of the sisters’.

“Do you think Jean and Denis will want to go with her to get it?”Bellatrix asked.

“I don’t think so. The pair are not comfortable with the magical world. I heard Denis say that he didn’t feel safe in it because he was afraid they would be targeted due to being Hermione’s parents.”Narcissa told her.

“He is right to be afraid. People are ruthless and greedy. Once it’s found out about Hermione’s pedigree many will come out the woodwork for a chance to benefit from her houses. The only thing that makes me feel better is they need Hermione alive to get anything so we know that they won’t try to kill her.”Andromeda didn’t think that would stop people from trying to hurt Hermione but Andromeda was going to focus on the positives in the situation.

“The ones that will try to kill her are Rod and Lucius because she took their titles. Rab won’t care either way and will only act if Rod told him to.”Bellatrix wasn’t worried about Rabastan because the man was so far gone mentally that he likely didn’t even understand what a Head of Household was.

“Is there any way we can arrange for an accident to happen to those two while they are in Azkaban?”Andromeda would prefer the pair to be dead.

Narcissa shook her head.”We talked about it and decided that it wasn’t worth the risk of the person we hired to do it turning us in.”

“That’s a good point.”Andromeda knew they couldn’t do it themselves.

“The only good thing about this situation is that when they find out Hermione will have already taken over the houses and cut off their access to any gold. Meaning they won’t be able to pay anyone to do things for them. Not that anyone would work for them anyway.”Bellatrix said.

“No one will work for them because Lucius is well known for not paying the people he has hired to do jobs and Rodolphus usually kills his employees when it comes time to pay. How he hasn’t been convicted of murder yet just shows how corrupt the justice system is in this country.”Narcissa knew there was more than enough proof of Rodolphus’ crimes to get sent to Azkaban for life.

“Well now Dumbledore is taking over and is focused on putting away the Dark Lord’s followers. I doubt that the usual methods of blackmailing and bribing the officials is going to work this time.”Bellatrix didn’t think anything was going to save the people caught.

“You never know. I could easily see most of the members of the Order switching side if they were offered some gold. It wouldn’t take a lot of gold to entice them either.”Andromeda had heard the many complaints from people about how they didn’t get any kind of payment or benefits for being a member of the Order and she knew that people would be tempted if offered any kind of reward from the Dark Lord.

“It’s a good thing the Dark Lord didn’t know that or he would have pushed Lucius into giving him more gold to pay them off.”Narcissa was surprised Lucius was able to hang on to as much of his wealth as he did.

“Lucius losing his estate makes me wonder how the Dark Lord is going to fund the next war.”Bellatrix didn’t know who else would give as much as Lucius did.

“He is going to try recruit Hermione in hopes she will give him access to all her houses.”Andromeda said.

“We know he is going to try to recruit Hermione. So is Dumbledore. We are not going to let her join either side of course. I am just worried about what both men will try to do to get her to commit to their causes.”Narcissa didn’t want Hermione to be targeted.

“I think the Dark Lord will make a personal visit to speak to her. How he is going to justify his hatred of squibs and muggles is going to be interesting. Unless he uses the angle of Hermione being superior to both races and doubles down on why they should be eliminated.”Bellatrix thought the Dark Lord would focus on his hate of both races instead of trying to appeal to any type of love Hermione had for her parents and their culture.

“He is going to be sending this generation of Death Eater’s offspring to influence her as well. I am kinda looking forward to Hermione rejecting their advances.”Andromeda would like to see faces of the parents’ of the students who try to get Hermione’s attention when they found out Hermione shunned their precious offspring.

“I expect Hermione to be presented with expensive gifts as soon as she gets to Hogwarts and all throughout her school years.”Narcissa knew pureblood customs and giving the person you wanted to court expensive gifts was an important one.

“Maybe we can stock up on those bombs Jean told us about and blow each of them up.”Bellatrix suggested.

“Although I agree that would be fun Hermione can’t accept them and has to formally give each one back.”Andromeda didn’t want anyone to think by accepting their gift Hermione was willing to date them.

“We will be there to help her handle returning them properly.”Narcissa was going to make sure no one retaliated for Hermione rejecting them.

“What do think is going to happen to Lucius’ bastard?”Bellatrix asked.

“A lot will depend on what Lucius told the mother about the magical world and himself.”Andromeda said.

“He would have told her everything. There is no way a man like Lucius wouldn’t have shown off his magic or held back from bragging about how superior his family was. We also found forms filled out for the mother and son to live at a Malfoy property so he would have had to explain everything.”Narcissa didn’t think Lucius would pretend to be a muggle no matter what the situation was.

“I wonder if he told her about his role in the Dark Lord’s cause.”Bellatrix would expect him to keep it a secret.

“It would have been interesting to see how he treated her publicly.”Andromeda was sad they wouldn’t find out.

“I just hope the boy leaves Hermione alone. Then again with a father like Lucius he will most definitely be a major pain in all of our back sides.”Narcissa predicted the boy would be an extreme annoyance.

“Do you think he will be put in Slytherin?”Andromeda wouldn’t be pleased if her house was sullied by Lucius’ bastard.

Bellatrix frowned at the thought.”They accept half bloods but the boy isn’t of good stock. Not because of his mother off course but because of Lucius being his father. How that sniffling idiot became a snake I will never know.”

“I would love it if he was put in Gryffindor.”Narcissa thought that would be the best revenge for Lucius having a child out of wedlock.

“That would be epic.”Andromeda would love to see it as well.

“What is going to be more epic is watching the hat call out Slytherin for Hermione.”Bellatrix was glad she was going to be there to witness that milestone.

“Where do you think Dora will be put?”Narcissa asked.

Andromeda sighed.”I’m pretty sure it’s not going to be Slytherin. The girl is to earnest and good. She doesn’t have a scheming bone in her body. It doesn’t really matter to me though as long as it isn’t Gryffindor.”

“None of us want the future generations of this family to be put in the same house as that absolute disgrace Sirius was.”Bellatrix didn’t want anyone in her family linked to that inbred imbecile.”That being said I will proudly cheer for any house Dora becomes a member of.”

“I will as well.”Narcissa just wanted her niece to be happy.

“I am going to push to become head of Slytherin when I get hired.”Andromeda wanted to be in charge of the snakes.

“Not if I get it first.”Bellatrix had been planning on the same thing.

“Let’s not fight about it now. Us working at Hogwarts is still many years away.”And Narcissa was going to use those years to figure out how to get the role instead of her sisters.

“Many years we are going to spend with Hermione watching her grow.”Andromeda knew those would be happy years at that.

“I’m looking forward to when she can talk.”Narcissa wanted to have conversations with her soulmate.

“I’m looking forward to taking her on her first broom ride.”Bellatrix wanted to get Hermione comfortable on brooms early so that she would be skilled at riding one when she went to Hogwarts.

“We have a lot of things to look forward to now that she is finally here.”Andromeda felt like they had waited forever for Hermione to be born.

“Yes we do.”Narcissa agreed.

“We just have to get through these trials and then we can start living our lives.”Bellatrix couldn’t wait until they could finally be with Hermione.

“The first thing we do after the trials are over is set up a vault for Hermione and move the contents of the Malfoy one into it. Then we take care of the guardianship.”Andromeda felt those were the two most important things to do.

“I’m going to have the goblins inventory it before everything is moved. I have never really spent much time in it and am curious about what the Malfoy family thought was important enough to put in their vault.”Narcissa hadn’t had a reason to go in the vault other than to go when Lucius told her to withdraw gold for him. When she wanted something usually Bellatrix paid for it because Lucius didn’t like her spending any gold without his permission. The fact that she was given access to it surprised Narcissa but she didn’t question Lucius over it. If he thought she would never betray him she would let him think it.

“I should do that with the Lestrange vault.”Bellatrix didn’t really pay attention when she visited the vault. Her focus was on taking out gold not the valuables.

“I can’t wait until we can do that with the Selwyn and Shafiq vaults.”Andromeda just knew there was something interesting in both vaults.

“I kind of want to know what a family of cheapskates like the Prewetts keep in their vault.”Bellatrix bet it was overflowing with gold and priceless artifacts.

“Well the amount of gold Molly stole was enough to rival one of the less wealthy Sacred 28 families so we know they have at least that.”Andromeda said.

“I really don’t understand why she thought she wouldn’t get caught. Even if she didn’t care if she did get caught there was no way her brothers were letting her keep the gold. Hell based on their reputation they would have sued her if she only took five pieces of gold.”Bellatrix would have sued Molly as well.

“It’s her unearned sense of entitlement that has her doing things like that. Which doesn’t make sense that she has it because her mother was just as frugal as her father. The pair were famous for living as cheaply as they could. Even the brothers followed that mentality.”Narcissa didn’t get it.

“Gideon and Fabian are also very humble and kind like their parents. They are always the first ones to volunteer for dangerous missions and lend a hand to anyone who needs help. They are the only family members that Hermione has other than her parents that I approve of.”Andromeda thought the brothers were amazing people.

“I think they will be a good influence in Hermione’s life.”Narcissa thought that the twins would be positive role models for Hermione.

“I just hope Hermione doesn’t follow in their footsteps and is extremely cheap.”Bellatrix didn’t think she could live like the Prewett family did.

”I don’t think that will be a problem. The Grangers spend their money freely and so do we. All of us will be her examples of how to manage money so we will have the most influence on her regarding that.”Andromeda was sure Hermione wouldn’t be tightfisted with her gold.

Bellatrix yawned then looked at her watch.”I’m going to bed. I think Narcissa and I should take you and Dora shopping tomorrow Andy.”

“If people see us spending a lot gold on the pair of you it will help sell the narrative we don’t hate you or the daughter you had with a half blood.”Narcissa said.

“We need to take Dora shopping for some toys. The poor girl deserves to be spoiled after dealing with Ted and his family for so long.”Andromeda was going to make sure her daughter never wanted for anything ever again.

“That she does.”Bellatrix was fine with buying things for her niece. Draining the rest of her glass she put it on the coffee table and stood.”How about everyone be ready to leave at ten?”

“Sounds good.”That would give Narcissa a chance to help Hermione go through her morning routine.

Andromeda followed Bellatrix’s example by draining her glass then setting it on the coffee table as well. Standing she stretched her body.”I’m going to head to bed too.”

“I think I will as well.”Narcissa stood from her seat and followed her sisters out of the room.”Good night both of you.”

Bellatrix gave both her sisters a hug and a kiss on the cheek.”I really am happy that the three of us are sleeping under the same roof again.”

“I think we all are happy about that.”Andromeda said. She gave Narcissa a hug and cheek kiss.”I’ll see you both in the morning.”

“See you in the morning.”Narcissa replied before making her way towards her bedroom. She needed to pack everything she needed to spend the night at the Granger’s. To include a few things to make her claim on the guest room next to Hermione’s room. Maybe she would mention to Denis and Jean that she would like to have a permanent room in their home. They understood the soul bond and knew what it felt like when you were away from your soul mate. That being the case they would probably support Narcissa having her own room. She would most likely just keep her stuff in there and sleep in Hermione’s room. She couldn’t wait until Hermione was big enough to hold her in her arms while they both slept through the night. She hoped Hermione would enjoy cuddling because Narcissa found that holding Hermione was one of her favorite things to do. Thinking about getting the chance Narcissa hurried her footsteps. The sooner the packed the sooner she could hold her soulmate.
