“I think someone is here.”Sara said. Rosalie jumped up from her spot on the couch and rushed outside. The rest of the family had joined her as everyone was waiting to see who was coming to pick Rosalie up. Rosalie perked up when she saw a moving truck followed by a four door luxury town car pulling up the driveway and coming to a stop near the house. Rosalie didn’t recognize the man and woman riding in the truck but based on the one heartbeat she heard one of them was either a human or a shifter. Rosalie was surprised to find when they stepped out the truck that she smelled a human. That surprise turned into shock when a small vampire that Rosalie’s recognized from the many descriptions she heard of little vampire’s past actions got out of the passenger seat of the car and opened the back door. The two women who got out were unfamiliar but based on the gasp coming from Carlisle it seemed he knew them. Rosalie wasn’t the only one who was shocked when Carlisle took a knee or by what came out of his mouth once on the ground.

“Your majesties, Jane welcome to my home.”Carlisle greeted the two Volturi queens.

“Please rise Carlisle for we are no longer queens.”Didyme told him causing Carlisle to stand.

“What the fuck?!”Emmet exclaimed.

“You are the queens?”Alice asked in confusion.

“We were queens now we are just Didyme and Athenodora no titles.”Athenodora enjoyed the fear she saw on most of the Cullens faces. It almost made her regret not bringing Sulpicia with them to share in the moment.

“I thought you were with the kings in Italy.”Carlisle had not heard of the queens being separated from the kings.

”We haven’t been with those fools for over five decades.”Didyme wouldn’t ever being going back unless it was to kill them.

“Why did you leave your mates?”Esme couldn’t imagine being away from Carlisle a week let alone decades.

Athenodora growled.“Those bastards are not our mates.”

“Why can’t I read any of your minds?”Edward didn’t care who their mates were. He cared about the fact that all five of them were immune to his gift.

“That’s none of your business.”Jane snapped. 

“It is my business because you could be here to kill us.”Edward wasn’t scared of Jane. He could easily beat her in a fight.

“Edward shut up.”Rosalie wasn’t going to let Edward insult the very people who were taking her to her new life.

“Hey Rosalie where is the stuff you are taking with you?”The unidentified woman asked.

Rosalie glared at Edward then walked over to the garage door and opened it revealing a bunch of boxes, trunks and bags.“I put it all in the garage.”

“I’ll help you guys.”Emmet volunteered.

“That’s alright we got it.”The human man said as he pulled a device out of his pocket and started slowly waving it over a box before moving it to the side and waving it over another box that he stacked on the first one.

“What is that thing?”Carlisle asked.

“It’s a scanner that will tell me what’s in the box so I can see if there is anything not allowed to be in it.”The man explained as he moved on to the next box while the woman started moving the ones he finished to the truck.

“That thing is a scanner?”Jasper had never seen a portable scanner that could do that before.

“Yes.”The man said.

“What other types of technology are available in Eden?”Edward hated having to ask these people anything but he had no other way of getting information.

“That’s none of your concern.”Athenodora and those who came with her were not going to tell the Cullens a damn thing.”Di what have you decided?”

“She was telling the truth.”Didyme knew that Athenodora was asking if Rosalie was telling the truth about the mate bond with Bella. Something that Didyme’s gift confirmed.

“You know that pisses me off even more.”Jane really wanted a chance at the Cullens.

“It does bring up a whole lot of questions.”Athenodora was just as pissed as Jane was.

“What are you talking about?”Carlisle had a feeling the queens knew something that he didn’t.

Jane turned her attention to the queens.“What do you think? Should we bring it up?”

“This will be our only chance because there is no way the others will be allowed in Eden.”Didyme was definitely not going to let them in.

“You are right. That means we address it.”Athenodora was very happy that she was the one to do it.”Cullens we have a question for you. Why did you support Edward’s false mate claim on Isabella Swan?”

“My claim was not false!”Edward wouldn’t put up with anyone saying otherwise.

“Not only was your claim false but you deliberately kept Isabella from her true mate which was Rosalie.”Jane smirked at the uncomfortable looks the coven was sporting.

“Rosalie was not Bella’s mate and I will kill anyone who says she is.”Edward threatened.

“I’m saying it right now. Rosalie was Isabella’s mate.”Athenodora smiled when Carlisle wrapped his arms around Edward to hold him back.

“Edward calm down so we can discuss this like civilized people.”Carlisle didn’t want to fight the queens and Jane. They had the backing of Eden and Carlisle didn’t want Eden to target his family.

“How do you expect me to calm down when they are spewing lies?”Edward stopped struggling because he didn’t want to hurt Carlisle.

“Rosalie am I lying?”Athenodora asked.

“No you are not lying.”Rosalie wasn’t going to hide it. Especially when asked by a representative of Eden.

“You bitch!!”Edward screeched.

“Why didn’t you act on it?”Didyme couldn’t figure that part out.

“I was going to but Edward claimed Bella before I could. I went to Carlisle to explain the situation and he accused me of trying to steal Edward’s mate out of jealously. I threatened to go to the kings but he told me if I did he would kill Bella. When we left her behind he upped the threat to if I ever spoke to Bella again he would kill her.”Rosalie told them.

“That’s not true.”Carlisle lied. It was true but he wasn’t going to admit it.

“What the fuck?”Emmet couldn’t believe Carlisle would do that. He did believe Rosalie though because she wasn’t a liar.

“Carlisle why would you do that?”Esme also believed Rosalie. It made a few comments about Bella the pair made make sense.

“I didn’t do anything.”Carlisle denied.

“Yes you did because it was the same reason I didn’t say anything. You told me not only would you kill Bella but you would kick me and my mate out of the coven.”Jasper had wanted to interfere so many times but held back.

“Why didn’t you tell me?”Alice would have thought Jasper would have told her something so important.

“I was planning on telling you after we had been gone a few months but Bella died before I got the chance.”Jasper had been waiting until they were clear of the family before he told his mate.

“Not so much the caring humanitarian you pretend to be are you Carlisle?”Athenodora loved the way that Carlisle’s entire being seemed to sag with the weight of being exposed.

“Carlisle doesn’t pretend to be anything. They are lying to you. Both of them are just trying to get a place in Eden.”Edward had known about the threats and fully supported Carlisle making them.

“How would what they told us get them a place in Eden?”Didyme asked.

”It’s obvious the leaders of Eden are jealous of Carlisle and I and by badmouthing us the pair are trying to gain favor from Eden’s leaders.”Edward told her.

“You think the leader of Eden is jealous of you and Carlisle.”Jane laughed at the very idea.

“If they aren’t why weren’t we picked to live there?”Edward knew that the leaders of Eden were jealous of him and his sire.

“Because Eden has no use for you.”Didyme told him.

“I am a very talented doctor that has centuries worth of experience. I should have received a personal invitation not had to apply like everyone else.”Carlisle’s anger at not being pick overrode his shame at being caught lying.

This time it was Athenodora who laughed.”Your skills are useless in Eden because we have far surpassed your world’s knowledge and techniques. As a matter of fact if you moved to Eden you wouldn’t be eligible to be a doctor. Even our elementary schools are more advanced than your medical schools.”

“Supernaturals wouldn’t put in the time or effort to become doctors.”Edward knew they were lying.

“Wait you really think Carlisle is something special?”Jane scoffed.”We have medical professionals of all species. Most of the supernatural happily stepped into those roles now they don’t have to hide who they really are.”

“If you have all these advanced techniques why haven’t you shared them with the rest of the world?”Emmett asked not being able to stop himself.

“The rest of the world doesn’t deserve to benefit from the great minds that reside in Eden. They especially don’t deserve to gain anything from our leader.”Athenodora and most residences of Eden felt that way and she doubted they would change their minds anytime soon.

“So there is a single person in charge of Eden.”Edward said.

“Yes a single person came up with the idea and lead the army into battle freeing millions of people both supernaturals and humans. Now they lead an entire continent and they have yet to be challenged. Since they have taken the throne not one war has been fought and there has been no resistance from the original inhabitants. Our society thrives on peace and it will continue to long after they are gone.”Didyme told him.

“That’s means they aren’t a vampire if they are going to die.”Edward was definitely going to pass that information on to his people. Knowing that the person in charge had a vulnerable body would help them in their plans to take over Eden.

“What they are is a being beyond your comprehension.”Jane told him.

“What does that mean?”Sara asked.

“It means that only the worthy should be exposed to their greatness.”Didyme herself felt humbled that their leader put in the effort to save her and her two mates from the kings. They really had nothing to offer Eden. Thankfully their savior didn’t stand by while they were being abused and went out of their way to save them.

“How did you and the guard get away from the kings?”Carlisle was most curious about that.

Athenodora smirked.”You honestly think we would tell you any of our secrets?”

“As Rosalie’s coven leader I have a right to know if she is going to be safe living in Eden. That means I need to know what your leader is capable of.”Carlisle didn’t really care about Rosalie’s safety he was just interested in Eden.

“Rosalie do you share your coven leader’s concern of Eden not being safe enough?”Jane asked.

“Not at all. I feel perfectly safe going to Eden.”Rosalie wasn’t going to demand answers from the group. Especially because she felt no loyalty Carlisle or Edward.

“You should want to know what you are walking into.”Carlisle said.

”It doesn’t matter to me what I’m walking into. It will be a hell of a lot better than being in a coven with you and Edward.”Rosalie didn’t care that she was going into an unknown situation. Looking at how happy and self assured the people from Eden including the human were Rosalie knew that she made the right choice.

“Why can’t Rosalie take a phone?”Edward really wanted to know more about their technology.

Andromeda rolled her eyes at how obvious Edward was being.”We are not going to tell you anything.”

“How is she supposed to talk to us if she doesn’t have a phone?”Carlisle asked.

“We don’t communicate with outsiders.”Didyme wouldn’t have it any of other way either. Outsiders brought chaos and destruction with them and no one in Eden wanted to deal with that.

“So Rosalie won’t be able to talk to us ever again?”Alice didn’t like the sound of that.

“I doubt she will have time to miss you.”Jane said.

“Why what will she be doing?”Sara didn’t like the fact that Rosalie wouldn’t be able to talk them but understood her choice to go.

“In Eden Rosalie will be overwhelmed with the many opportunities she will have and each one will make her the happiest she has ever been in her life.”Didyme had no doubt that Rosalie was going to be very happy living in Eden.

“I look forward to getting there.”Rosalie couldn’t wait to get her new life started.

“Well we are done so if you want get started on that new life you need to say your goodbyes.”The human told her after he finished scanning the last box.

Rosalie turned to her family.”I guess this is it.”

“We are going to miss you.”Alice said as she gave Rosalie a hug.

“I’m sad you are leaving but happy that you are getting a chance to have a better life.”Esme told her getting a hug after Alice.

Sara got the next hug.”I wish you could at least write us.”

“Yeah it would be cool to find out what Eden is like.”Emmet didn’t try to hug Rosalie because it made her uncomfortable. Not that Emmet was offended. He knew that it was due to the trauma from her turning that made her dislike men touching her.

“It won’t the same without you but I couldn’t be more happy that you got this chance.”Jasper was sad he and his mate couldn’t go with Rosalie because she was his favorite sibling but he wouldn’t ask her to give up the chance to go for anything.

“Try and find a way to contact us.”Carlisle told her.

“It’s has been quite the experience living with all of you for so long and I will miss some of you. Thank you for being there for me and all the support you gave me over the years. Good bye.”Rosalie gave them a small wave and followed Jane and the queens to the town car. She got in the back seat with Didyme and Athenodora while Jane sat in the passenger seat and a random man wearing sunglasses who was another human Rosalie thought based on the scent and heartbeat she heard was in the driver’s seat.

“Leon make sure you stay close to the truck. I expect Edward or Carlisle will try to put something in it or on it.”Athenodora wasn’t worried about Edward actually being able to spy on them she was worried about him sabotaging something.

“Already planning on it Dora.”Leon replied.

“You really have found a way to coexist with humans peacefully haven’t you?”Rosalie noticed that neither of the humans were intimidated by the many vampires around them.

“Peace is the main thing we strive for in Eden. Of course there are lawbreakers but our punishments are harsh and deter most people from committing crimes. We have an army that after the continent was taken over and the shield put in place was never used again. They still train and could at a moment’s notice be ready to fight but no one has ever tried to overthrow our leader.”Didyme didn’t think it would happen either.

“Are they that feared or that loved?”Rosalie asked.

“I would actually say that even the people who love them fear them.”Jane sure as heck feared them even though she knew they would never hurt her.

“I think we should hold off on any further discussions because we have a tail.”Leon told them.

“How can you tell?”Rosalie didn’t detect anyone and wondered how the human in the car did over the vampires.

Leon smiled at Rosalie in the rear view mirror.“Trade secret miss.”

“Can you identify who it is?”Athenodora was unsurprised that they were being followed.

“There are two men. One is the blond that you called Carlisle and the other based on the angry look on the dark haired man’s face I’m thinking is the mind reader Edward. I didn’t get a good look at him at the house though because the truck was blocking my view.”Leon told her.

“I knew they would do something.”Jane said.

“They likely will follow us all the way to the airport.”Didyme hoped she would get a chance to punch Edward in the face.

“They won’t like the surprises that will meet them there if they try something.”Athenodora was of the same thought as Didyme. She wanted to punch Edward in the face. The only reason she didn’t was because they wanted to not give anyone reasons for targeting them while they were picking up the others that were moving to Eden. 

“Please tell me that my invitation won’t get taken away if those two do something stupid?”Rosalie didn’t want to miss her chance because of Edward and Carlisle.

Jane laughed.”Our leader would never hold anything those two did against anyone but themselves.”

“Well maybe Esme. I mean she always goes along with Carlisle. No questions asked.”Didyme thought that made her just as responsible as Carlisle.

“I don’t care what they do as long as I’m not dragged down with them.”Rosalie said.

“How about we all stop talking and frustrate them even more.”Athenodora suggested.

“Good idea.”Didyme agreed causing all the occupants of the car to fall silent. She was happy that she was able to go on this mission because it gave her a chance to clear up a few issues. She thought it was funny that everyone thought they still lived with the kings. A lot of people were going to have a good laugh when she told them. Didyme knew that the kings lied so they didn’t lose anymore respect. Not that they were respected that much after all their guards left them. With them gone the kings had no way to enforce laws on anyone. Didyme was planning on asking Rosalie about the state of the vampire world. She doubted the kings replaced many of their guards and Didyme wanted to know why they hadn’t been overthrown yet. If Didyme was a vampire not living in Eden she would have formed a group to do it. Then again maybe vampires didn’t need their own government now that they were exposed to the world. Didyme scowled thinking about having to wait to find out answers because of Carlisle and Edward. That just one more reason she hoped to get the chance to punch them in the face.
