“God these brownies are so good. Seriously Carmen you are the greatest cook I have ever met.”Isabella said as she shoved the last of the brownie she was eating into her mouth. That brownie being the last of the batch Carmen made while Isabella was sleeping after the kitchen was cleaned. Isabella had been shocked when she saw the condition of it as she didn’t think even a vampire could get it clean. It made it easier to enjoy the large feast Carmen made her for breakfast. Isabella had laughed at the looks the vampires were giving her as she putting away so much food. Now the entire group was on the way to the reservation. After she made a trip to her bunker to secure the chest with Abe’s stuff in it they all decided it wasn’t worth it to protect the house. Plus everyone wanted to go to the reservation.

“I’m glad you like my cooking Isabella.”Carmen was very happy that Isabella enjoyed her cooking because it meant that Carmen would be able to cook for her in the future.

“I don’t like it I love it. I’ve been stuck with Esme’s bland food for months. The woman doesn’t know the word salt.”Isabella hated the tasteless food Esme forced on her.

Kate laughed when she heard a roar followed by something crashing into a tree.”I don’t think she appreciates your criticism.”

“Then she definitely won’t appreciate me telling you about how every day that it was sunny and Alice and Edward didn’t come to school I would leave early, go straight to the diner and eat myself sick. Then afterwards I would go and get two hot fudge sundaes and eat them in my truck on the way to their house. I would hide the containers in the bushes by their mailbox and Leah would send one of the wolves to pick up the trash.”Isabella smiled when most of the Denali laughed.

“That is some serious bullshit you were putting up with if you had to sneak food to feel full.”Hearing all the stories from Isabella made Rosalie even more happy that her timeline was changed. The Cullens were insane.

“I haven’t felt full since I moved to Forks. As a matter of fact I am constantly hungry. It reminds me of my childhood when food was scarce.”Isabella had been experiencing the same hunger pains she did when she lived in her first timeline.

“They have been starving you!!”Irina was going to kill all of them.

“They don’t see the problem because it keeps me at an appropriate weight to be Edward’s wife.”Isabella reminded her.

“Seriously are you sure you’re mated? I mean aren’t mates supposed to love their mate no matter what they look like?”Emmet asked.

“Well I have no love for Edward or his stupid face. I’m actually hoping once I break the bond that I will get the chance to kill him.”Isabella smiled when this time she heard the roar and the trees breaking.”And based on the fact I heard that it means that Edward and the others are following us.”

“They have been trailing us since we left your house.”Tanya told her.

“Do you think they will try and stop us from going on the reservation?”Kate was hoping for a fight.

“The wolves will be meeting us there so if they try anything they will take care of them.”Isabella wasn’t worried about the Cullens being able to do anything.

“So why is it that the Cullens aren’t allowed on the reservation?”Eleazar asked.

“Way before the Cullens showed up the tribe elders were visited by a seer that told them that a group of cold ones would visit. The seer claimed they would have gold eyes and different gifts. The seer told them there could be two outcomes to the visit. The first the cold ones would be honest about their gifts and treats the wolves with respect. The second they would be rude and hide their gifts to try to use them on the wolves to find out their weaknesses so they could kill off the entire pack. The wolves went to the first meeting with the Cullens knowing about their gifts so when the Cullens met them and Edward was hostile and tried to fight the alpha and Carlisle talked to them like they were children even though one of the wolves was older than he was they knew that they couldn’t trust them. The only reason they didn’t kill the Cullens was because seer said it would bring great suffering to the tribe.”Isabella lied. There was no seer. She had told the wolves everything they needed to know about the Cullens.

“Could the wolves have really been able to kill them?”Emmet wasn’t sure what the wolves capabilities were.

“At the time it was only Esme, Carlisle and Edward. The wolves let them believe that there was only four wolves but there was really 13 at the time. With Edward’s gift not working the wolves would have easily killed the trio and would have likely walked away without a scratch. Especially because wolves train constantly to be able to take on any threat and as we saw of the pitiful excuse Jasper called training the Cullens wouldn’t have been able to defend themselves. As it is if they fight the newborns they all will likely die.”Isabella had seen it happen in one of the timelines. All of the Cullens except for Rosalie and Emmett had died in the battle. The Volturi showing up being the reason Isabella didn’t keep that timeline. It was also that timeline that she sent Rosalie to the Denali instead of keeping her with the Cullens.

“That is true. The little bit we saw of Jasper’s training he wasn’t helping anyone.”Kate agreed with Isabella. If they were forced to fight the newborns the Cullens would die.

“That’s because they are idiots who don’t understand the world outside of their delusions. It doesn’t matter how many times they say it they are not human. They can buy the right clothes, cars and get a job and go to school but it will never change the fact that they are vampires and the life of a vampire is filled with violence. I’m actually surprised they haven’t been attacked more because they claim multiple territories.”Tanya and the rest of her coven had to defend their home in Alaska before and she fully expected to have to in the future. It was the perfect spot for a vampire to live without being found by humans.

“I think it would be torture going to school over and over again.”Rosalie couldn’t imagine actually volunteering to go high school once let alone as many times as the Cullens children did. Them pretending to be children was another thing she thought was weird. It was things like that that made her thankful that Isabella had changed her timeline. Thinking of Isabella and school brought with it a question.”What was your last school like Isabella?”

“I was homeschooled but took online college courses so I was put in advanced classes.”Isabella didn’t the temperament to go to school. Everything she learned was through books or by paying someone to teach her how to do whatever she was trying to do. With unlimited time and money she was well versed in many subjects and had gained many skills. More than she could get through a traditional education.

“You have never been to school before here?”Irina would have thought Isabella would have attended some type of school over the years.

“No I’ve always been to independent to follow a curriculum. Let alone follow anyone else rules.”Isabella had the hardest time behaving for the last few months she had been going to school with the Cullens.

“So are you going to formally withdrawal?”Carmen asked.

“I printed out the paperwork and just need Charlie to sign it.”Isabella had printed out the paperwork. It was all part of her setting up her plans for the future so that no one could claim that it wasn’t her that in the crash. If she had future plans she would have stuck around.”And if he is against it I’ll just give him the rest of my trust fund as payment.”

“I know you want to deal with mate bond but once you have it broken and you have dealt with the Volturi you are more than welcome to come to Alaska.”Tanya offered.

“That’s a great idea. Isabella would be the perfect Denali sister.”No sooner than words were out of Kate’s mouth the van was hit in the side and flipped through the air.

“Isabella!”Irina screamed as she wrapped her body around the human holding her tightly to the seat. When the van stopped rolling it was upside down. Irina pulled the seatbelt off Isabella, cradled her in her arms and kicked the door off the side of the van. Exiting she moved away from the wreckage and laid Isabella on the ground looking her over for any injuries.”Are you alright?”

“Yeah I’ll bet I’ll be bruised but other that that I’ll be fine.”Isabella lied. She wasn’t going to be bruised. Her shield had protected her and everyone else in the van.

“Get away from Bella!!”Edward demanded as he rushed towards Irina.

Irina was ready for him so when he got close she faked a punch with her right fist while her left fist connected with his chin in an uppercut causing Edward to fly up in the air.”You get away from Isabella.”

“Bella is Edward’s mate. You can’t keep her away from him.”Carlisle was regretting asking the Denali to come. They had ruined his family.

“I personally asked them to keep him and all of you away as well because I’m not safe with you. Case in point he would have killed me if Irina didn’t protect me when he rammed the van I was riding in.”Isabella just took this incidence as more proof of Edward trying to kill her.

“He wouldn’t have had to touch the van if you would just talk to him.”Alice was very irritated with this whole situation. Bella was supposed to be her sister not the Denali’s.

“I will make you deal. I will talk to Edward right here right now and once the conversation is done I never want to talk to him again. Is that fair?”Isabella knew it wouldn’t be the last conversation because they wouldn’t let it go but she wanted to put a finality to their lack of a relationship.

“Fine.”Esme agreed because she knew once Edward spoke to Bella she would fall back into line.”Come on everyone lets give them their privacy.”

“We aren’t leaving Isabella alone with the idiot.”Irina was never going to leave Isabella alone with any of the Cullens.

“They are mates. They need to be alone to work out their differences.”Carlisle said.

“The boy just rammed a moving van she was riding in and almost killed her. There is no way any one of us is leaving her alone with him.”Tanya was of the same thought as Irina. She was never leaving Isabella alone with any of the Cullens.

Isabella cut off anyone from arguing.”This is his only opportunity. If he doesn’t want to use because he’s to embarrassed to talk about how wrong he was and how sorry he is than that’s on him.”

“I wasn’t wrong and you who should be sorry.”Edward said as he made his way back to the crash sight.

“How is you trying to kill me not wrong?”Isabella was very interested in hearing Edward’s excuses.

“I didn’t try to kill you. I was trying to get you out the Denali’s clutches.”Edward wouldn’t kill his mate. He would however be disciplining her once he got his hands on her.

”What did you think would happen to a human in that kind of accident?”Rosalie was pretty sure Isabella would have been severely injured if it wasn’t for her shield.

“No one is talking to you you harlot.”Edward would not stand being questioned by Rosalie of all people.

“You watch your mouth you scumbag.”Emmet was just waiting for the signal then he was going to pound Edward’s face in.

“Edward get to your apologizing so that I can say I don’t forgive you and we can never talk to each other again.”Isabella wanted to go ride dirt bikes.

“It’s not me who is apologizing. It is you and to no only me but the rest of the family as well. Especially Esme whose feelings you hurt very badly. I don’t know what kind of immoral jezebel the woman who birthed you was but Esme is your mother and she will be treated with respect and if not I have given her permission to discipline you if necessary.”Edward actually encouraged Esme to raise a hand to Bella if she didn’t behave like a proper woman should.

Isabella wasn’t the only who laughed.”You fucking morons. I’m not Esme’s child. I will never be Esme child. Just like I will be breaking our mate bond as soon as I get the chance. As a matter of fact I may ask the Denali for the money for a ticket to Italy and an escort to the kings to have it done. I’m sure they will love to hear all about how you had no intentions of turning me.”

“It would be nice to see Heidi again after so long.”Kate lied. She would never willingly go before the kings.

“You are not breaking our bond!”Edward growled just thinking about Bella getting away from him.”I own you and it would do well for you to remember your place. Now stop all this nonsense and come to me right now. We are going home and you are going to apologize to the family and then receive your punishment.”

“Don’t worry Bella I’ll make sure it’s nothing too bad.”Alice promised.

“And another thing. Denali we no longer need you. Go back to Alaska and never contact us again.”Edward wanted the Denali far away from Bella.

Isabella put her hand on Irina’s shoulder to calm her down.“Edward I’m not going anywhere with you. I will never go anywhere with you again. As for the Denali they are free to do whatever they want. I hope that they stay because I know without them you five don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of defeating the newborns. Let alone Victoria.”

“We are staying and protecting you like we promised.”Tanya and the others weren’t planning on leaving until after Isabella faked her death.

“You will leave if I tell you to.”Edward would use force if he had to.

“Carlisle are you willing to go to war over this?”Tanya asked the other coven leader.

Carlisle thought through their options. Not only could they not win a fight against the newborns without the Denali’s help there was no way that his coven could beat the Denali in a fight. Them being immune to the Cullens gift put them at even more of a disadvantage.”We will not be going to war over this. However if you do not release Bella then I will rethink my stance.”

“Are you fucking stupid?! I am not being held against my will. I could ask them to leave whenever I want. I asked them to stay near me because I’m afraid of your coven.”Isabella pointed to the wrecked van.”That being one of the reasons I need protection. That and Edward saying that he has any right discipline me. Which I’m taking to mean he is going to hit me.”

“Don’t you use that language young lady and if Edward needs to use his hand to enforce the rules then it’s his right as your mate.”Esme was all for Bella being disciplined. She was hoping it would straighten the human out.

“I thought mates couldn’t hurt their mates?”Isabella asked.

“They can’t.”Irina would never even think of hurting Isabella. Neither physically or emotionally.

“So why is that Edward has been able to hurt me numerous times?”Isabella held back a smirk at the uncomfortable look on Jasper’s face.”You’ve felt his feelings Jasper. They are of a mated vampire aren’t they?”

Jasper shifted uncomfortably on his feet. He knew that Edward wasn’t Bella’s mate but when he brought it up Alice told him that she wanted Bella as a sister and Edward had picked her out for a wife. Jasper didn’t want to disappoint his mate.”Yes they are the feelings of a mated vampire.”

“You are a really bad liar.”Kate thought a human toddler could pick up that Jasper was lying.

“He is not lying.”Alice denied even though she knew he was. Alice asked him to so that she could finally have the sister she always wanted and once Bella was a vampire that would happen.

“I thought we were going to ride dirt bikes.”Emmet was getting bored with all this talking.

“You’re right we are. I can have some friends from the reservation take care of the van. They know about vampires so you don’t have to lie about how it was damaged.”Isabella told Tanya.

“That would be appreciated.”Tanya hadn’t really thought about that as it was Rosalie who took care of the maintenance on their vehicles.

Isabella pulled out her phone and typed out a text.”I sent my friend a text so he will come get it when he gets a chance. As for replacing your van they have a car dealership on the reservation that you should be able to find something at.”

“They have a car dealership on the reservation?”Rosalie wouldn’t have thought that.

“They have all kinds of places on the reservation. It’s actually one of the most visited tourist spots in the state.”Isabella had a lot to do with that as she funded the town’s growth. She also made sure the tribe members had proper houses and plenty of opportunities to go to school by offering full scholarships to any college or trade school they wanted. Plus a stipend for housing and living expenses. After seeing how they lived the first time she encountered them Isabella went out her way to help them thrive.

“Well now I’m even more excited to go.”Kate didn’t know there was anything interesting in the area. Then again the Cullens weren’t allowed on the reservation so they wouldn’t know.

“You aren’t going anywhere Bella.”Edward had thought he had made that clear.

“Irina would you carry me. My legs will be to tired from walking to ride dirt bikes.”Isabella was lying. She just wanted an excuse to snuggle up to her mate.

“Of course Isabella I will gladly carry you.”Irina would never miss the chance to touch her mate.

“Are we going to have to walk slow or can we run?”Rosalie asked liking the way Edward’s face was becoming angrier the longer he was being ignored.

“We can run through the woods. I already sent Leah a text telling her we are coming so no-one will attack us.”Isabella expected to have an escort waiting a the line.

“Good then let’s get going.”Emmet was hoping that one of the wolves would wrestle with him.

“You are not going anywhere.”Edward screamed.

“Hold on tight Isabella.”Irina once again ignored Edward and kneeled down.

“Isabella when did you say that Charlie would home to look at that evidence collected?”Kate asked.

“A week and half but I’m thinking of emailing it to him.”Isabella told her.

“Edward let’s go.”Jasper knew that was a legitimate threat as Isabella had emailed him some of videos the night before and based on them she had plenty of evidence to expose vampires. It also made him very disappointed in his mate for her behavior. He tried to talk to her about it but she brushed him off saying everything would be fine once Bella was changed.

“I’m not leaving without Bella.”Edward wasn’t going anywhere until Bella was in his grasp.

“Do they have clothing stores on the reservation?”Rosalie wanted to get a change of clothes as her shirt had been ripped and her pants were dirty from the crash. She and the rest of the Denali left their suitcases at Charlie’s house and she didn’t want to have to go all the way back.

“Yeah they have a few.”Isabella said.

“I wouldn’t mind getting a change of clothes either.”Irina hated not looking her best and like Rosalie her shirt was ripped and her pants were filthy from kneeling on the ground with Isabella.

“Alright to get through the woods just stay in sight of the road we were traveling on and we will be met at the line by the wolves. Irina you don’t have to worry about going fast because I ride the wolves sometimes and they are faster than vampires.”Isabella liked going fast.

“Alright formation everyone.”Tanya ordered causing all the Denali to get in formation around Irina and Isabella.

“Now wait just a minute. You are not going anywhere Bella!!”Edward rushed up and lunged at Isabella but was met with Kate grabbing his neck and pain flowing through his body.

“Kate stop right this instance!”Esme demanded.

Kate twisted Edward’s body and grabbed his legs keeping her gift going the entire time then using all her strength threw Edward as far as she could.”That should keep him busy for a few minutes.”

“Let’s go.”Tanya said taking off with her family following behind her. She was unsurprised when not even a second later the other four Cullens started following them. Tanya ignored their demands and pleas for Isabella to come back to them. Even if the non human wanted to Tanya wouldn’t have let her after everything the coven leader has seen and heard about the other covens behavior towards the time traveler. It was quite obvious that Edward was in no way mated to Isabella and Tanya fully believed that every member including Edward knew it. Edward had to because Jasper knew it and the mind reader would have heard his thoughts. It was just more proof of how fucked up the Cullens were. If they really needed any proof the fact that Edward tried to kill Isabella in a car crash was it. It made Tanya wonder what Aro was going to say to Edward when the boy went to Italy. Would he even bother telling Edward he was wrong or would not care and just have Chelsea bond him to the king right away. Seeing a bunch of wolves ahead of them Tanya decided to speak to Isabella about it later. Now she wanted to have a fun Cullen free day with their new family member. After having to deal with all the drama the Cullens brought into their lives they deserved a break.
