To Turn Back Time 1

“Good you’re all here that will save some time. Time we have little of.”A strange woman said as she burst into the Denali’s home putting the whole group on guard once they got over the shock of not hearing someone on their property. Someone that looked and smelled human that made it past seven vampires three of them over a thousand years old with extensive fight training. All eyes went from the human to Irina when she gasped in shock.

“Isabella?”Irina was sure that the human before her was her lost love but didn’t understand how she was still human.

“Hello darling. I’m sorry it took me so long to find you again.”Isabella told her.

Irina rushed to Isabella and threw her arms around her.”Where have you been? I searched for you.”

“I know but I couldn’t stay at the time. Introducing myself was cruel to you and I’m sorry.”Isabella was sorry that she couldn’t stay with Irina but it wasn’t the right time yet.

“It’s you!”Rosalie exclaimed when she caught sight of the dark haired woman’s face when she pulled out of Irina’s hug.

“You know her too?”Emmett asked.

“Yes she saved me from those men who tried to assault me. Then she gave me a choice to either stay human and marry the man who would let his friends hurt me or became a vampire and meet the man that was literally meant to be the other half of my soul. You promised I would have a child but now I know that isn’t possible.”Rosalie was sad about that but loved her vampire life a lot more than her human one.

“I will fulfill my promise I just need a little more time.”Isabella wasn’t going to let Rosalie down.

“What do you mean?”Rosalie asked.

“Just know I haven’t forgotten.”Isabella told her.

“How do you know her?”Rosalie asked Emmet.

“She’s the one who saved my life.”Emmet never thought he would see the woman again.

Tanya glared at Isabella.”You’re the idiot who left him in the woods while he was bleeding to death?”

“I waited until someone came before I left.”Isabella wasn’t that stupid.

“If you were here why didn’t you come see me?”Irina was hurt that Isabella didn’t seek her out. Especially if she was so close.

“There are many reasons that I’m sure I will be spending decades explaining to you.”Isabella knew that one conversation would never clear up everything.

“I believe that introductions are in order first.”Tanya said as she watched her usually shy sister snuggling with a stranger. A stranger who was responsible for Rosalie and Emmet joining her coven.

”Apologies. My name is Isabella. Though I’m using the alias Bella Swan right now.”Isabella told them.

“Why does that name sound familiar?”Emmet mumbled then it hit him.”You are the human Edward believes he is mated to.”

“What?!”Irina roared.”I’ll kill him.”

Isabella put her arm around Irina’s shoulders keeping her in place.“You’ll get your chance to hurt him but first we have other things to worry about.”

“What’s more important than killing a boy who is making a false mate bond claim?”Irina didn’t think anything was more important than killing the boy who was trying to claim her mate.

“Actually first let’s sit down and you can tell us who you are and how you know everyone.”Tanya suggested.

“I guess it’s fair that you all know.”Isabella let Irina lead her to a love seat and sat down next to her.”Where should I start?”

“You should start with how a human teenager I met in 1832 is still a human teenager.”Irina thought that would be a great place to start.

“Wait Isabella is that woman you have been searching for?”Kate and the others knew all about the one night Irina spent with a human that she was sure was her mate. They had even helped Irina search for her.

“I am a human teenager. I have been one since the 1700’s.”Isabella told them.

“How is that possible?”Rosalie had never heard of a human living that long before. Based on what she could see, hear and smell she knew that Isabella was telling the truth about being human.

Isabella shrugged.”I don’t know but I think you vampires would say that I’m gifted in some way.”

“How are you gifted?”Tanya wanted to know what kind of gift a human had that kept them alive this long.

“I was gifted with the ability to never die. It doesn’t matter what way I am killed I never stay dead. I have even had a vampire try and turn me and nothing happened.”Isabella had tried more times than she cared to count to end her life in the beginning.

“That’s not the only gift you have though is it?”Eleazar could detect something but he couldn’t identify exactly what it was.

“What do you mean?”Carmen asked.

“Isabella is some type of shield I think both mental and physical but that isn’t all. There is another one that I have never seen before and it won’t let me focus on it.”Eleazar was frustrated he couldn’t figure out what the gift was.

“You are right about the shield. It’s both physical and mental. The shield also allows me to build mental blocks around other’s minds so they are protected from mental influence as well.”Isabella explained.

“What do you mean mental blocks?”Kate was very interested in protecting her mind.

“It doesn’t affect the mind in anyway it’s simply an invisible barrier that makes it so no mental gift can affect you. Meaning Edward can’t hear your thoughts, Alice can’t have visions of you, Jasper can’t manipulate your emotions and every single member of the Volturi including Aro and Marcus’ mental gifts won’t work on you.”Isabella smiled at the looks of shock staring back at her.

“Could you imagine not having to worry about Aro reading us or the witch twins torturing us?”Irina would love to have that kind of power.

“Would you be willing to give us these blocks?”Tanya wanted her family safe.

“Of course.”Isabella was going to offer anyway.

“Before you do that though tell us about your other gift.”Eleazar was interested in the blocks but trying to figure out Isabella’s other gift was annoying him.

“I can travel through time.”Isabella chuckled at the looks of disbelief she was getting. Taking a deep breath she focused on her gift and faded out of the room.

“Where did she go?”Irina looked around but didn’t see Isabella anywhere. She didn’t hear her heartbeat either. Just as she was about to get up and search Isabella reappeared holding a cup of coffee and a newspaper. She handed it to Tanya.

Tanya read the paper going wide eyed at the date on the top.”You just visited Dallas on the day Kennedy was shot?”

“I know what an American president nerd you are so I thought you would want the souvenir.”Isabella took a sip of her coffee groaning at how good it was.

“Enjoying yourself over there Isabella.”Emmet teased. He couldn’t believe he was finally meeting his savior and she was a freaking time traveler. He already had tons of things he was going to ask her to go back in time and get him.

“I’ve been stuck in Forks for the past couple months dealing with Charlie who is a slob and to cheap to buy not only a decent coffee maker but decent coffee and Edward and the other Cullens monitoring everything I eat and drink. They claim coffee will stunt my growth and sugar is extremely bad for me.”If Isabella wasn’t watched all the time she would have been able to get better food and drinks.

“If you are a time travel what date is your present?”Rosalie asked.

“My present is today however I do take trips into the future not just the past. The future being why I have been in Forks and why I am here today.”Isabella told her.

“Is something bad going to happen?”Irina didn’t want any problems now that she finally found her mate again.

“Yes and it’s my fault. Not that I feel bad about what I did.”Isabella seeing the confused expressions explained.”You see when I had met Rosalie and Emmet the first time they were members of the Cullen coven.”

“Why the fuck would we be with those idiots?”Emmet would never be a Cullen. He didn’t respect any of them.

“It all goes back to the night I saved Rosalie. The version of Rose that I didn’t save went though the horrific ordeal and Carlisle chose to change her that night so Edward could have a female companion while he waited for his mate.”Isabella quickly put a shield around herself and Irina when Rosalie shot off the couch growling loudly.

“That asshole would have turned me after something so traumatic so I could be a plaything for Edward!!”Rosalie was going kill the man and his golden boy.

“Yes he was and after learning that I wasn’t going to let it stand that way. That’s why I went back to that night to save you and sent you on your way to Alaska to the Denali to be turned.”Isabella would never let Rosalie be used that way again.

“Thank you for saving me from that event and Carlisle.”Rosalie took a deep breath and sat back down next to Emmet happily leaning into him when he put his arm around her shoulders.

“You said you met me with the Cullens. What was my original timeline?”Emmet was happy that Isabella saved Rosalie and was going to do something nice to thank her.

“Originally Rosalie found you as a human fighting a bear. You were losing badly and she felt the urge to save you. She carried you over two hundred miles not giving into her bloodlust to bring you to Carlisle. I simply took her place and brought you here instead.”Isabella told him.

“Are you the one who gave all that money and land to my family?”Emmet had always found it suspicious that when he checked in on his family a couple years after he was turned they were living on a large working farm with many employees and thriving. Asking around he heard that they got a large inheritance and the farm when a distance aunt died.

“I didn’t want you to have to worry about them.”Isabella had plenty of money and knew that Emmet would want his family taken care of.

“Thank you.”Emmet was touched that Isabella took care of his family.

“You took care of Vera to didn’t you.”Rosalie had checked in on her best friend and found her living in a much wealthier area than before she left and from the glimpses she caught looking in the window she was living a very good life.

“Your only true human friend deserved to be rewarded for her loyalty.”Isabella said.

“Thank you.”Rosalie like Emmet was going to figure out something nice to do for Isabella. She saved her and her mate’s lives and took care of their human loved ones when she really didn’t have to.

“Alright as touching as this is. You said something is going to happen in the future because of you saving these two. What is it?”Kate was hoping something dangerous was going to happen so she would be able to fight.

“Yes taking the pair away from the coven brings their numbers down to 5. That doesn’t seem like such a bad thing but the Cullens killed a man who was a tracker trying to kill me.”Isabella put her hand on Irina’s knee to keep her in place.”He’s dead. He had been tracking me for over a decade. He was the reason I was in Forks because I needed Alice and Edward’s gifts to trap him so he would be killed.”

“I can’t believe you trusted your safety to the Cullens and not us.”Irina was offended that her mate didn’t come to her to keep her safe.

“It was the best outcome because the tracker is old and gifted and has a 99% success rate for his hunts. Only myself and Alice being the two that got away. That and his mate has a gift as well. The gift to instinctively keep herself away from danger. It doesn’t matter what situation she is in she can get out of it. So the only way to get James away from her to kill him was rely on the Cullen’s gifts.”Isabella had gone to the Denali before and it didn’t end well for anyone.

Tanya easily caught on to Isabella’s thoughts.”You came to us before.”

“I did and it ended in a lot of death not my own of course but the coven was down more people than I care to think of without the tracker even being killed.”Isabella had set up a dozen different scenarios but none of the ended with everyone alive.

“If the tracker and his mate are dead what’s the problem?”Carmen asked.

“The problem is the Cullens didn’t go after the mate thinking because she was a woman she would be so overcome with grief she would kill herself. Instead she is forming a newborn army to kill the Cullens and capture myself so she can torture me in some twisted way to avenge her mate.”Isabella explained.

“Of course those idiots wouldn’t kill the mate.”Rosalie was unsurprised the Cullens would be so stupid.

“They aren’t going to call the Volturi are they?”Irina concluded.

“They are of the false belief that if they team up with the shifters that they will beat the army. It was something they achieved when Rosalie and Emmet were members of the coven but without them the others are just useless.”Isabella didn’t think the Cullens were that great. They were annoying and complained about how awful their lives were but instead of trying to better them they did nothing. Isabella thought they just loved being miserable.

“Of course they are useless without us.”Rosalie was a better fighter than even Jasper.

“I’m assuming you are bringing this to our attention so that we can aide the Cullens and defeat the newborns.”Tanya concluded.

“The Volturi is the only other option and they can’t find out about me. They will insist that I be turned and the Cullens not knowing venom doesn’t effect me will agree. If they find out my secret any of my friends including you guys with will be hunted down in their search for me. I of course wouldn’t be harmed because of my shield I just don’t want to have to deal with them going after you guys in their quest to figure out what makes me tick.”Isabella wasn’t worried about getting hurt. The only way that would happen was if she let down her shield. Something she never did. James broken tooth being proof of her shield’s strength.

Irina growled as she tightened her hold on Isabella.”The Volturi aren’t getting anywhere near you.”

“To prevent that from happening we need to stop Victoria before she makes anymore newborns.”Isabella told them.

“Do you know where she is keeping them?”Kate was excited that she was going to get to kill some newborns.

Isabella nodded.”I have a location and time that she will be there with a man name Laurent who needs to be killed as well.”

“Why do we have to kill him?”Emmet wasn’t against it he just wanted to know why.

“During one timeline before Irina meets me he uses his gift which is a form of glamor on steroids to make Irina think they are mated. I meet her after that and she rejects me. They even exchanged bites.”Isabella had immediately gone back and changed the timeline so Irina would be spared.

“That’s a very dangerous gift.”Eleazar couldn’t imagine how much chaos someone could cause with Laurent’s gift.

“I’m sorry sweetheart.”Irina could tell that the incident had effected Isabella even though she tried to hide it.

“I want to say it’s fine but it is still somewhat painful. Just expect me to be a little clingy.”Isabella wasn’t going to let Irina more than an arm’s reach away from her for a long time once this was taken care of.

“I don’t mind you clingy.”The last time they were together it was Irina who was clingy. It would be nice to have Isabella show her more affection.

“When do we need to confront Victoria and Laurent?”Tanya was just as excited to fight some newborns as Kate was. It got a little boring training all the time and not being able to go all out.

“A week but I have to get back today to keep my cover. I know it doesn’t need to be said but please don’t say anything about me. I’m going to be faking my death soon after you kill the newborns and Edward is going to run to Italy to kill himself when he finds out. Aro is going to read him of course and I want Aro thinking I’m dead.”Isabella couldn’t wait until she could stop pretending to be a high school teenager.

“We won’t tell him but where are you going after you fake your death?”Rosalie was hoping Isabella was going to live with them. She wanted a chance to learn about what made Isabella go back in time and change her life.

“I was planning on living here if that’s alright.”Isabella said.

“Of course it’s alright. I’ll make room in my bedroom for your stuff and we can talk about anything specific you need for your hobbies.”Irina had been planning on insisting that Isabella live with them and was happy there would be no fights.

“We don’t mind adding on to the house if we need to.”Tanya wanted Isabella to stay not only because she was Irina’s mate but the girl had a very valuable gift. Two if you included the time travel.

Isabella tried to think of what she would need.”I think the only thing I really need is a room to put some things for my travels, my weapons and maybe some space in the library.”

“What weapons do you have?”Emmet asked excitedly.

“Swords, crossbows, throwing stars, lots of knifes, guns, flamethrower…..”Isabella was cut off by Kate.

“You have a flamethrower?!”Kate was already planning on all the fun she and her new best friend as she had decided Isabella was going to be were going to have in the future.

“I’ve had to fight a lot of vampires and sometimes it’s just easier to use a flamethrower.”Isabella told her.

“You make a good point.”Emmet wondered how many fights would’ve ended quickly if someone picked up a flamethrower.”It would be fun to see the vampire’s reaction to being faced with one.”

“The first time I used one was during the fight against the Volturi and the Romanians. They didn’t know what the hell was going on. After it was over everyone claimed a dragon had been there.”Isabella had took out a lot of troops before she ran out of accelerant.

“You were the dragon?!!”Eleazar knew all about the story where a dragon stepped into battle and aided the Volturi in their quest for the thrones.”That was considered the moment they won the war.”

“I was born in a timeline where the Romanians won. It was not a pleasant time for humans.”Isabella shuddered just thinking about how humans were treated during that time.

“Wow.”Rosalie looked at Isabella in awe. She was the reason that humans weren’t enslaved and abused for thousands of years. Rosalie wondered what else Isabella changed.

“That being said. I need to get going. I was able to shake off my guards for the time being but they will be looking for me soon.”Isabella stood and turned her attention to Irina.”I know it will be hard but you can not reveal we are mates. Edward doesn’t react well to it and it will lead to me being exposed.”

“I don’t like it.”Irina didn’t want to hold back now that she got her mate back after so long. She especially didn’t want to see her mate being affectionate with another vampire.

“I don’t like it either but I think it’s worth it to keep everyone in our coven alive and safe.”Isabella hated not being able to act on her instincts but it was the best way to keep everyone safe.

“What about the mental shields?”Tanya didn’t want Isabella to leave before she gave them the blocks.

“I already did them.”Isabella had done it as soon as they sat down.

“We didn’t feel a thing.”Carmen hadn’t felt any kind of intrusion.

“It took me to the fourth person I gave the block to before it stopped hurting. Initially it was worse than Jane’s gift.”Isabella told her.

“Thank you for doing this for my family. We will pack and head out immediately to Forks.”Tanya knew what a big boon Isabella had granted the family and would not be forgetting it anytime soon.

“Carlisle is going to call you in an hour asking for your help. When you meet them tell them you met a nomad who you paid a lot of money to shield your minds with the promise that you wouldn’t reveal their identity. The answer will frustrated them but Jasper will accept the lie and calm them down.”Isabella pulled Irina up from her seat and wrapped her arms around her.

“I don’t want you to go.”Irina hadn’t even gotten a minute alone with her mate and after thinking she was dead for almost a century wanted a chance to just be in her presence and listen to her heart beat.

“I know my love but after the newborns and Victoria and Laurent are gone I will wait a few days then a friend of mine is going to help fake my death. Then I am free and we can finally live our life together.”Isabella had worked hard to get to that point and knowing that she was so close to her goal had her just as anxious as Irina.

“We can help you fake your death.”Kate volunteered.

“I’m sure you would enjoy it but I can’t have your scents at the scene because the Cullens will pick up on them and confront you.”Isabella explained.

“Are you ever going to tell the Cullens you are actually my mate?”Irina wanted the family to know. Her beast was demanding she show off her claim to the people who thought they owned Isabella.

“Yes after Edward goes to the castle to die.”Isabella said.

“Do the kings kill him when he asks?”Rosalie wouldn’t mind if the boy was killed after learning of Carlisle’s intentions for her.

“No Aro decides he’s too valuable to lose so he keeps him as a pet and never lets him leave his side. Edward tries to fight him but Chelsea bonds him to Aro and Corin loads him up on happiness. He basically becomes a mindless zombie.”Isabella smiled when most of the family laughed.

“He deserves no less.”Irina thought that was the perfect punishment for the person who tried to claim a false mate bond with her mate.

“Now then I really need to get going. My fake dad will be home soon and I need to make dinner.”Isabella kissed Irina hard on the mouth.”I can’t call you because Edward will over hear but I will text you.”

“Do you have my number?”Irina asked.

Isabella smirked.”What do you think?”

“I think there is a lot about you that I don’t know but I am looking forward to finding out.”Irina couldn’t wait until she finally got to ask her mate all the questions running through her mind.

“Alright I really do need to go.”Isabella stepped out of Irina’s arms.

“Wait does your dad know about all this?”Rosalie would expect he did.

“He knows nothing about the supernatural world. I’ll explain how I came to live with him when I see you at the Cullens. Until then it was nice seeing you all again and meeting everyone else. Good bye love.”Isabella winked at Irina and disappeared from the room.

“That is so cool.”Kate wondered what else Isabella could do with her gifts.

“Do you think she could teleport into a bank vault?”Emmett asked.

“I didn’t even think of that. Maybe she could take people with her.”Kate was already mid plan of her, Emmet and Isabella robbing a bank.

“It’s not happening.”Tanya easily caught on to Kate’s scheme.”You will not be asking Isabella to use her gifts to break the law.”

“I honestly don’t think you have to ask her she probably already does.”Emmet said.

Irina sighed as she sat down.”I hate the fact that we have to pretend not to know her when we meet up with the Cullens.”

“I am excited about having a family member I can cook for.”Carmen loved cooking human food but never had anyone to cook for.

“You know Esme is probably in heaven having a human to dote over.”Tanya and everyone else knew about Esme’s want to be a mother and with them thinking Isabella was human she was likely trying to full that role in Isabella’s life. Hearing a phone ring cut off any replies.”I bet that’s Carlisle.”

“Rosalie would you help me pick out a few good outfits for the trip?”Irina wanted to look her best for Isabella.

Rosalie stood from her seat.”Sure we will find the perfect pieces to have Isabella’s eyes focused on only you.”

“Thank you sister.”Irina said as she followed Rosalie up the stairs. She had a lot of things to think about. Isabella being an immortal time traveler being a big one. Irina wondered what other events and lives Isabella interfered with. She also wondered what it was like growing up with the Romanians in charge. That brought another thought to Irina what happened to the people in the time line Isabella messed with? Did the time line disappear or did it just branch off into a new one? Irina shook her head. That was a line of thinking that was likely to send her down a spiral of despair thinking about all the people who don’t exist anymore. She was just grateful it was Isabella with the gift and not someone who was cruel and had ambitions of taking over the world. Then again she didn’t really know anything about Isabella. Even when they met the first time she didn’t say much about herself. That was probably because they spent most of their time naked in bed using their mouths for things other than talking. It was thoughts of getting Isabella naked that Irina made her way into her room. That wouldn’t happen until she took care of the newborn army after her mate something that Irina was going to do soon. Then after Isabella faked her death she was going to kidnap her and spend at least a month away from the family. She deserved it after all the heartache she had been through.
