Love Conquers All 8

“How did it go?”Rosalie asked the queens when they entered her and Bella’s living room. The pair were sitting on the couch with Rosalie stretched out with Bella laying on top of her with a blanket over them watching a movie. Rosalie had been worried about her coldness bothering Bella but Bella claimed that Rosalie didn’t feel cold to her at all. Rosalie thought that was because of the bond. Whatever the reason Rosalie was grateful because it allowed her to cuddle Bella for as long as she wanted. It also let her touch Bella’s baby bump without causing Bella discomfort. That being her favorite thing to do. Especially when the baby would kick her hand. Something that happened a lot most of the time when Rosalie was speaking as the baby seemed to like her voice

“Peter was not here to trick us.”Athenodora lifted Bella and Rosalie’s feet, took a seat on the end of the couch and set them in her lap.

“What was he here for then?”Bella asked.

Didyme sat in the arm chair and pulled Sulpicia on her lap. She had wanted to sit with her daughters but her mate beat her to it.”That’s what we are here to discuss.”

“Before we do. How are you feeling Bella?”Sulpicia thought that Bella still look tired.

“While you were in the throne room I napped so I feel a lot better. I’m thinking that I might want a snack in a little while but I’m good right now.”Bella told her.

“Tell us when you’re ready and we will get you something right away.”Athenodora would drop everything she was doing to get Bella a snack if she wanted one.

“I will.”Bella wasn’t afraid to ask for what she needed. Plus asking for things was a way to calm down her overprotective vampire bond mates.

“So what happened with Peter?”Rosalie wanted to know his purpose for coming to the castle if it wasn’t to try and get to Bella.

“It seems that Jasper called him and his mate to Forks under the excuse of needing him for an emergency. When the pair got there Jasper claimed that you Rosalie in your jealousy over Edward picking Bella over you for a romantic partner kidnapped Bella who is deathly ill and are keeping her from seeing a doctor.”Sulpicia told her.

“If that were true why wouldn’t Rosalie just kill me. I mean we all know her history.”Bella didn’t understand why Rosalie of all people wouldn’t just kill her.

“Neither Peter or Charlotte believed the lie. Not only because they asked the same thing but because of Rosalie’s well known hatred for Edward and Carlisle for changing her for Edward.”Sulpicia thought their lack of excuses showed how little they respected Rosalie.

“Did the Cullens ask for his help finding us?”Rosalie asked.

“Yes but as soon as he was asked Peter’s gift told him that if he did that he and his mate would be killed. That’s the reason he came to us because his gift told him that if he didn’t he and his mate would die for their role in the Cullen’s scheme.”Sulpicia was pleased he did come because it gave them an overview of what the Cullens were up to.

“What else did Peter find out?”Bella thought her mothers were to on edge for them to have only found out the Cullens asked Peter for help.

Seeing the looks she was getting from her mates Athenodora sighed. It seemed it was up to her to bring up hard topics.”Something that was brought up was that based on Emmett’s actions we believe that he knew this entire time your bond was false.”

“He knew?”Rosalie wasn’t sure if she believed that. The Emmett she knew would never do something so despicable.

“I’m sorry but I saw what he said and how he acted in Peter’s memories. The boy knew you weren’t mates.”Sulpicia hated the devastation that came across Rosalie’s face.

“But Emmett was always so kind and caring. How could he have done this to me?”Rosalie tried to think of any instance of Emmett deceiving her and could not.

“He was probably acting like that so you wouldn’t fight the bond. I mean think about it. If he acted controlling and possessive bond or not you would have never put up with it. He had to watch how he acted because you never would have stayed with him if he disrespected you. Your numerous beatdowns of Edward being proof.”Bella had seen Rosalie go after the mind reader more than once for insulting her.

Rosalie thought everything over.”You’re right I would never had stayed with him if he treated me like that. I would never stay with anyone who did. Mate bond or not.”

“Luckily we all know that Bella will always treat you with respect and never belittle you or try and control you.”Didyme may not know her daughters that well but it was obvious to anyone who saw them together that the pair loved and cared for each other.

“I would never even consider it.”Bella would never treat Rosalie poorly.

Rosalie kissed Bella on the top of the head.”Neither would I.”

“What else did you find out from Peter?”Bella was going to bring up Emmett’s betrayal later when Rosalie had some privacy to break down.

“The Cullens don’t know where you are. Esme and Carlisle have been researching different areas to reach out to the vampires living there but have had no luck. Other than doing that it seemed that Alice has been trying to use her gift to find you but is having no luck. Edward and Emmett were mostly ranting about punishments that the pair of you would receive once they found you.”Sulpicia told them.

“Punishments that we thought we would use on them when we caught them.”Athenodora was hoping they would be caught soon.

“Can I be involved in their punishments.”Rosalie wanted her chance at every member of the coven.

“I would like to watch.”Bella wouldn’t be able to do anything but wanted to witness the group’s pain.

“How about Rosalie, myself and your other mothers take our turns beating them then when they are dismantled Bella you can light their bodies on fire?”Athenodora thought that was the perfect compromise.

“I think that’s a great idea.”Didyme liked that it would let both girls get their revenge and the queens could be involved as well.

“I think so too.”Rosalie was happy that Bella would get to kill those that wronged her and Rosalie would get to hurt them.

Before anyone could say anything else Athenodora’s phone rang. Seeing who it was she answered immediately.”Do you have them?”

“Thank god.”Sulpicia said.

“What is she talking about?”Bella’s human hearing couldn’t pick up what the caller was saying.

“Bring them to the throne room as soon as you return to the castle.”Athenodora told the caller. Hanging up her phone she was met with expectant faces.”The guards have all of the Cullens and are on their way to the castle.”

“Where were they?”Rosalie was very relieved that her former coven was caught. One they were dealt with she would finally feel safe enough to enjoy experiencing pregnancy with Bella.

“The idiots were still in Forks.”Athenodora wondered why they hadn’t moved on.

“They probably would have never expected Rosalie would take Bella to us.”With Carlisle’s hatred of the queens Didyme wouldn’t have expected that a member of his coven would contact them.

“Or they thought that Rosalie would come back on her own.”Sulpicia bet that Carlisle thought that Rosalie would run back to them eventually.

“How did they react to the guard coming for them?”Bella asked.

“They were incredibly confused. Especially because the guards we sent for them have no knowledge of you and only know that they were to get the Cullens and bring them to Italy. The guard told me that the group was extremely smug and showed no fear as they were being escorted. I personally think that Edward is going to try and turn this around so that he can enlist our help in hunting you down.”Athenodora expected the mind reader to be planning on using his gift to manipulate the situation.

“Actually you brought up something that I forget about darling. Bella’s gift shields Rosalie from everything from the sire bond, Alice, Jasper and Edward’s gift and my own as well. I want to see if she is protecting us as well.”Sulpicia held out her hand for Didyme to take. Once their skin was in contacted Sulpicia closed her eyes and concentrated. Opening she looked at Bella in awe.”I see nothing.”

“I guess that means Bella is shielding us as well.”Didyme liked the fact that her daughter cared enough about her to use her gift to protect her.

“How far is the range though?”Athenodora thought being shielded from mental gifts would be a valuable thing in the future. Especially when dealing with the Cullens.

“I haven’t been away from Bella more than her using the bathroom since we met up so I don’t know.”Rosalie always stood close to the door while Bella was in there incase she needed help.

“Are you hungry Bella?”Sulpicia asked.

“Yes I could go for something to eat.”Bella had felt constant hunger since becoming pregnant.

“Alright then why don’t Didyme and myself go get you something and I can see how far your gift extends.”Sulpicia suggested.

“That’s fine with me.”Didyme wouldn’t miss the opportunity to fulfill her daughter’s needs.

“What do you want to eat?”Sulpicia already had her phone out texting the chef to meet her in the kitchen.

“I’m really craving a bacon cheeseburger with bbq sauce and onion rings. That and some root beer.”Bella felt comfortable telling the queens what she wanted because she knew that it would make them feel good to do things for her.

“Then that is what you will get.”Didyme would make sure Bella got the best bacon cheeseburger with bbq sauce and onion rings that had ever been made.

“Thank you.”Bella said.

“I assure you it’s no problem.”Sulpicia would make sure they added a salad to the meal.

Didyme moved Sulpicia off her lap.”Come my love let’s get going so that Bella can get her food.”

“We will be back as quick as we can.”Sulpicia didn’t want to be away from her daughters for too long.

Rosalie watched the pair walk hand and hand out of the room.”Do you think it would be alright for Bella and myself to be in the throne room for the Cullen’s trial?”

“I was going to suggest it.”Athenodora wanted to have her daughters close when the threat against them was in the castle.

“I would like to be there but can you have a chair there for me to sit down. Lilly is moving around so much that it gets tiring trying to stand for long.”Bella could barely walk across the room without becoming exhausted.

“That’s a good idea then my hands will be free to defend you if someone tries to attack.”Rosalie would prefer holding Bella but in this case it would be better to have her mate sitting. That way Rosalie could protect them easier.

“What exactly are you going to be telling the Cullens?”Bella asked.

“We will be charging all of them with supporting the two false bonds, Carlisle will be charged with abusing the sire bond and forcing a vampire away from their mate and using it to create a false mate bond. Edward will also be charged with glamouring you and Jasper will be charged with using his gift to reinforce two false bonds.”Athenodora told her.

“What is the punishment for all that?”Rosalie hoped it would be death.

“Even if it didn’t involve the pair of you the sentence for those crimes would be death because messing with bonds is one of the worst things a vampire could do.”Athenodora knew that their deaths were going to be extra painful because their daughters were the victims.”That doesn’t bother you does it?”

“No not at all. I was hoping they would receive a death sentence.”Rosalie was beyond happy that her former coven was being killed.

“The only thing that bothers me is I only get to light them on fire. I wanted to be able to bring them pain.”Bella wanted them to suffer for all they did to her and Rosalie.

“They will be feeling a lot of pain before they die.”Athenodora promised.

“Is it true that a vampire’s limb could be reattached after it’s removed.”Bella had over heard Jasper talking about it but when she asked no one would tell her.

“Not only limbs can be removed but other parts of the body as well. Except for the head. Once that’s removed it can’t be reattached.”Athenodora told her.

“Knowing that you could spend hours torturing them.”Bella liked the idea of that.

“Yes we have many plans for the entire coven that include removing their limbs and reattaching them. They will also be spending some time with Jane and Alec.”Athenodora was trying to figure out if there was anyone else that would be able to help against the coven.

“Who are Jane and Alec?”Bella had little knowledge of vampires other than the Cullens and the Denali.

“Jane and Alec are a pair of twins that are members of the guard. Each has a gift. Jane has the ability to cause unimaginable pain to anyone she chooses and Alec can take away all your senses and you leave you in a void where time and space feel like they no longer exist.”Athenodora explained.

“The pair have the nickname the witch twins.”Rosalie said.

“That’s a horrible nickname. Why do they let people call them that?”Bella thought that nickname was insulting.

“Jane and Alec don’t care what people call them or think about them. They actually like that they are so feared.”Athenodora knew the twins liked the fear they caused in others.

“It still isn’t right.”Bella would make sure she corrected anyone who said that name in front of her. No one deserved to be called a witch.

“I think you will be getting along with Jane just fine. Especially because her gift will likely not work on you.”Athenodora figured that since Bella was immune to all the Cullens and her mate’s gift that she would be immune to the twins as well.”Maybe we should introduce you to Heidi as well.”

Rosalie growled thinking about what she knew of Heidi.”I don’t want Heidi near my mate.”

“What’s so bad about Heidi?”Bella asked.

“She is known to use her gift to seduce people and convince them to do her bidding.”Rosalie wasn’t going to let that harlot near Bella.

Athenodora laughed.”You think Heidi seduces people with her gift?”

“I’ve heard numerous people say that about her.”Rosalie thought it was common knowledge.

“Who are these people who said that?”Athenodora wanted to know who said such horrible things about her guard member.

“Well Carlisle was the one who originally told about all all you and then Edward, Esme, Emmett, Alice and Jasper all told me their experiences with you and the guard as well.”Rosalie had a feeling she was going to feel very embarrassed for believing her coven’s word on this subject.

“I know you were isolated but surely the Denali would have told you the truth about us.”Athenodora knew the Denali would tell lies.

“We were told not to bring up anything to do with you or the rest of the Volturi with them because of what happened with you killing their sire.”Rosalie told her.

“We didn’t kill their sire.”Athenodora said.

“Wait what?”Rosalie asked.

“We didn’t kill their sire. We did kill the immortal child but that was after the sisters had already taken care of their mother. They were trying to find out where she was hiding the child but we found it before they did. When we met up with them Cia read them and learned all that had happened. They were pardoned from their sire’s crimes because they were actively trying to deal with the problem and had been planning on coming to us after they dealt with it.”Athenodora explained.

“Why does Carlisle say that you guys killed their sire?”Rosalie couldn’t figure out why Carlisle would lie.

Athenodora shrugged.”Carlisle likes to make us look bad. We actually have a very close relationship with the Denali. As I told you Tanya actually called to express her worry for the pair of you.”

“So if Carlisle lied about that stuff. What’s the truth about Heidi?”Bella wanted to know what the guard member was really like.

“Heidi does have the gift of persuasion but she doesn’t use it to seduce people. Her mate Chelsea would never put up with that. The woman is very jealous and has been known to kill others for looking at Heidi the wrong way. Heidi’s role in the guard is to help us deal with humans. Be that by convincing them to our terms during a business deal or helping cover up the existence of vampires by making them believe that what they saw or experienced is something else.”Athenodora imagined the massacre that would occur if Heidi used her gift to seduce people.

“I didn’t know she was mated.”Rosalie hadn’t been told that.

“She was mated long before Carlisle lived at the castle. He knows she is because the pair are very affectionate even during trials and Carlisle was present during many.”Athenodora knew for a fact Carlisle knew about it.

“Why would Carlisle lie about something that?”Bella didn’t know what benefit Carlisle would get from ruining a woman’s reputation.

“When Carlisle lived at the castle he tried to recruit many vampires to join his coven so that they could live what he considered the humane way by feeding off of animals. It was all a ruse. What Carlisle really wanted was to gain enough forces to overthrow us. In all Carlisle’s wisdom he didn’t take into consideration that the vampires that he approached were actually loyal to us. Each of them reported him and after being brought to the throne room he was read and his plan was uncovered.”Athenodora told them.

“Why did you let him go if he was plotting treason?”Bella asked.

“We didn’t let him go. We threw him in the dungeon where he stayed for fifty years and received regular beatings.”Athenodora was now wishing they had killed Carlisle. It would have saved her daughters of the horrors that had been inflicted on them.

“Carlisle always says that he left the castle on good terms with you and that you begged him to stay.”Rosalie had heard all the stories of the many things the queens offered to keep Carlisle at the castle.

”That’s not what happened at all. As a matter of fact the only begging done was by Carlisle and it ranged from begging for freedom to begging for his life and finally begging for death.”Athenodora had enjoyed the time spent with Carlisle.

“What an asshole.”Rosalie know wondered if anything Carlisle told them was true. Probably not based on everything she had learned since coming to the castle.

“He definitely isn’t the pious man he pretends to be. That being the reason no one respects him or his coven. That and the fact that he lies about not drinking from humans makes everyone think he’s untrustworthy.”Athenodora said.

“Hold up. Did you just say that Carlisle drank human blood?”Bella had heard Carlisle’s many rants on how wrong it was to drink from humans.

“Of course he did. We weren’t going to bring him animals in the dungeon.”Athenodora thought he was lucky they fed him at all.

“Did he drink directly from the humans?”Rosalie asked.

Athenodora nodded.”Didn’t even hesitate to do it either.”

“What a bastard.”Rosalie couldn’t believe that a man who had shamed her for killing her attackers had actually not only killed humans but drank their blood. Something Rosalie had never done.

“Is there a difference between human blood and animal blood?”Bella figured there was but never felt comfortable asking one of the Cullens.

“Yes there is. You see vampires’ bodies are made to thrive off human blood. By using animal instead it doesn’t give a vampire the proper nutrients. The result of not getting those nutrients is that over time a vampire’s body start to decay. First it affects the senses making it so you can’t hear as good, see as good, you taste is diluted, your sense of smell is off and you can’t feel temperature  or textures as well. After it attacks your senses it go after your muscles. Vampires as they age get stronger. Animal blood actually makes you weaker. It also affects your speed. Your are not as fast. Eventually the body will break down to the point that it’s on the same level as a human with only hard skin being the difference between the two.”Athenodora had seen the results of long term animal diet and it wasn’t pretty.

“You are saying that I am basically poisoning myself?”Rosalie wanted to understand exactly what the queen meant.

“Yes animal blood doesn’t sustain us. It doesn’t even take care of our hunger making it so the vampire has to hunt a lot more than a human drinker.”Athenodora hoped this talk would convince both Rosalie and Bella to drink human blood.

“How often do you feed?”Bella asked.

“The older you are the less you have to feed. I personally can feed every month and a half and be perfectly fine. Someone Rosalie’s age would likely go two weeks between feedings.”Athenodora told her.

“Two weeks.”Rosalie went three times a week. She couldn’t imagine what it would be like going twice a month.

“Not only would you feed a lot less but you wouldn’t feel the overwhelming blood lust that I have no doubt has been with you since you woke up.”Athenodora was actually impressed that Rosalie who had never drank human blood had gone on a killing spree yet.

“If I started drinking human blood will it repair my body?”Rosalie wanted to be at a hundred percent. Especially because her mate was human and carrying their child.

“If you feed daily you could be back to normal in a week.”Athenodora was pleased that Rosalie was considering changing her diet.

“Then I think I want to drink human blood.”Rosalie would do anything to keep Bella safe and that meant she needed to drink human blood so she was a her best to protect her.

“I’ll get a guard to get you some.”Athenodora picked up Rosalie and Bella’s legs, stood and made her way to the door.

“I think this is a good idea.”Bella said.

“I do to.”Rosalie found that she was somewhat excited by the idea of drinking human blood.

Bella yawned.”When do you think the queens will be here with the food?”

“Soon and once you eat we will go lay down for a couple hours.”Rosalie could tell Bella hadn’t caught up on her sleep yet.

Bella snuggled down and closed her eyes.”Let me know when they get here.”

“I will darling.”Rosalie promised. She adjusted the blanket making sure Bella was completely covered. Waiting for the queens to come back Rosalie thought about everything they had been told. Knowing the Cullens were captured make her very happy. That meant they were one step closer to dealing with the threat against Bella and Lilly. A threat that Rosalie and Bella were both going to be involved in killing. Rosalie was pleased that Bella would get a chance to be involved. Bella out of everyone had been the most wronged. Yes Rosalie had been forced to do things that she would rather not think about but she hadn’t gotten pregnant and was being forced to have an abortion. Not only was Bella violated but the child she was carrying was as well. Rosalie was looking forward to meeting her family in the throne room and telling them all about Lilly being her daughter. Not only would they be surprised that Bella and her were at the castle but they would be surprised by Rosalie’s red eyes. Those red eyes being just another fuck you to the man who ruined her whole life.
