“Do you actually drive your cars?”Rosalie asked Bella from the driver’s seat of Bella’s concept car. Rosalie had gotten her wish to drive alone with Bella on the test drive. She figured that the only reason Victoria didn’t come was because she didn’t want to the Denali left alone on the estate if they came back first. That didn’t mean Victoria didn’t threaten Rosalie with unimaginable pain and suffer if something happened to Bella. Rosalie had been somewhat insulted that Victoria would even think Rosalie would let anything happen to her mate but didn’t say anything. She didn’t want to upset Bella by fighting with Victoria. Now the pair were driving around with no destination in mind and Rosalie was having a great time.

“No. Driving is something Victoria enjoys doing. I am more interested in how cars work.”Bella told her.

“You have an impressive collection.”Rosalie had future plans of taking each of them on test drives.

“Most of them I restored myself.”Bella liked bringing the cars back to their original glory.

“So you not only design cars you restore them as well?”Rosalie shifted in her seat thinking about Bella wearing coveralls covered in grease.

“One of my assignments during my first year at MIT was to restore a 1969 Shelby Super Snake. I found that I enjoyed taking something beat up and thrown away and reviving it.”Bella said.

“Do you still have that car?”Rosalie would love to see it.

Bella nodded.”Yes Victoria likes to take it out on sunny days and drive around with the top down.”

“I forgot you can block the sun.”Rosalie added driving around in a convertible with Bella on a sunny day of things to do in the future.

“Maybe you can think of some places you always wanted to go and we can plan a vacation.”Bella suggested.

“I would like that.”Rosalie would love to go on vacation with Bella.”So what happened after Victoria’s fight with Edward?”

“Well after Edward fled the wolves showed up to confront Victoria. For some reason they hesitated before trying to attack her and that gave her a chance to explain what happened. It helped that they had never trusted or liked Edward so they easily believed Victoria’s version of what happened.”Bella said.

“I’m surprised that they didn’t try to kill both you and Victoria right away.”Rosalie would have thought that the wolves would have attacked no matter what Victoria said.

“I think that they were in shock and overcome with guilt that they didn’t stop me from getting hurt. That and it was obvious that Victoria wasn’t trying to hurt me.”Bella figured that the way Victoria defended her was why the wolves didn’t attack.

“They should feel guilty. Two vampires got past them and you were severely hurt.”Rosalie fully blamed the wolves for what happened to Bella.

“It wasn’t their fault. At the time they were young and didn’t have any experience with fighting vampires. Plus Edward and Victoria are both gifted so it was easy for them to get around the wolves.”Bella didn’t blame the wolves for what happened.

“What is Victoria’s gift?”Rosalie had heard Victoria say she had a gift but didn’t know what it was.

“Victoria has the ability to sense danger and keep herself and me safe from it.”Bella told her.

“What does that mean?”Rosalie asked.

“It means that she can detect if someone or something means to do us harm and her instincts will always give her a way to come out of the situation on top. She protects me as well because I’m her mate.”Bella explained.

“No wonder James kept her around.”Rosalie thought that Victoria’s gift was likely what kept James alive for so long.

“She was the reason that he targeted harder targets for his hunts.”Bella knew that without Victoria James wouldn’t have even attempted to go after half the people he went after.

“What happened after Victoria convinced the wolves she wasn’t trying to kill you?”Rosalie wanted to know the rest of the story.

“They offered her a place to take me to change.”Bella was cut off by Rosalie.

“Wait the wolves offered her a place to take you to change?”Rosalie wasn’t sure she believed that.

“Yes, it was an old hunting cabin on the outskirts of the reservation that was away from the public.”Bella told her.

“Did Victoria take them up on the offer?”Rosalie asked.

“She did because I was in the middle of changing and she needed to take me someplace soon because she was worried that I would start screaming.”Bella was thankful for her friends for offering the cabin because Victoria didn’t have anywhere to take her that was close by.

“You hadn’t started screaming yet?”Rosalie would have thought Bella would have been screaming immediately.

“I didn’t make a sound during my entire transition.”Bella said.

“Seriously?”Rosalie was even more flabbergasted when Bella nodded.”Did you feel the pain of turning?”

“Of course I did. It was excruciating but I was able to hold on to a sliver of consciousness that I focused my energy on not opening my mouth. I didn’t know what was going on but I knew that I wasn’t safe after the attack. Especially because I had been told that Victoria was trying to kill me and she was the one to save me.”Bella had been too scared to do anything to bring attention to herself as not only was she unsure what was going to happen to her when she woke up but she was unsure who was holding her captive.

“That’s amazing.”Rosalie was proud of the fact that her mate went through changing without making a sound.”What happened when you woke up?”

“I was confused when I woke up. Once I remembered what happened I was overwhelmed with fear because I didn’t know where I was or who I was with. All I knew was what happened with Edward and then Victoria being there as well. I also didn’t know Victoria was my mate so I thought that she was targeting me. You can imagine my surprise when I finally sat up and caught sight of Victoria. I was so overwhelmed with the feeling of love and attraction that I tackled her and wasted no time ripping her clothes off. She of course didn’t object and we proceeded to exchange bites before I even spoke a word to her.”Bella wasn’t embarrassed by how she acted either.

Rosalie frowned thinking of Bella being intimate with Victoria. She wasn’t sure how she felt hearing that Bella exchanged marks with someone other than herself.”So your mate bond overrode your thirst?”

“I never felt the uncontrollable bloodlust that most newborns feel. I was even able to be amongst humans after a month of living in isolation.”Bella was thankful that she didn’t because it allowed her to resume a regular life.

“You didn’t attack anybody?”Rosalie had never heard of a newborn who didn’t kill the first humans they came across when they were a month old.

“Well my mobility was an issue as well but it was easy to fight the urge.”Bella wasn’t able to properly hunt without the use of her legs.

“I didn’t even think of the fact that you can’t walk.”Rosalie was embarrassed that she didn’t take her mate’s limitations into consideration.”How were you able to feed?”

“Victoria broke into a hospital and got me bagged blood. That’s what I have survived on until I created the synthetic blood.”Bella had wished that she would have been able to hunt with Victoria but it wasn’t possible.

“So you have never killed a human?”Rosalie asked.

“No I’ve killed a human or an animal.”Bella told her.

“That’s impressive.”The only vampire with a clean record Rosalie knew was Carlisle and he regularly killed animals.

“I assure you I have no qualms about vampires killing humans it’s just that I personally can not hunt them myself. As a matter of fact Victoria still gives into the instinct every once in a while.”Bella didn’t care that her mate killed humans as it was in a vampire’s nature to like to hunt their prey.

“Victoria still hunts humans?”Rosalie expected Victoria to give up hunting completely with her access to the synthetic blood.

“When Victoria was with James she just hunted random humans not having a choice of who she picked. Since we have been together we now research her targets before hand and pick out mostly people who think they are above the law or wouldn’t normally get charged with their crimes. We have actually been responsible for dismantling many criminal empires to include one of the largest human trafficking rings in the world.”Bella was extremely proud of the work she and Victoria did.

“That’s admirable.”Rosalie couldn’t help but respect Victoria’s hunting habits. At least she did something good. All the Denali did was kill animals. They didn’t even do anything with the pelts. They just left the body where they fed.”It seems like you are making a difference.”

“We don’t just kill people and walk away. We make sure that those involved get punished and the victims get justice. We also set up services and funds for those victims so that they can live a good life.”Bella told her.”As a matter of fact Victoria and I invest hundreds of millions a dollars a year in various charitable endeavors.”

“You seem to be doing really well for yourself. How did you gain your fortune?”Rosalie was curious about how Bella gained her wealth.

“It was actually pretty hard in the beginning to get by. James wasn’t interested in things like money or permeant places to settle. He was all about his next hunt and if he needed something he would just steal it. That being the case Victoria had no money saved up.”Bella said.

“If she didn’t have any money how did you both survive? Did you get help from someone?”Rosalie couldn’t imagine not having her own money. Even when she was human her family was extremely wealthy. When she walked away from the Cullens she had enough saved that she would have been fine going out on her own.

“We kind of got help.”Seeing Rosalie’s confused expression Bella explained.”With my help Victoria hunted down Laurent and killed him in revenge for never stepping in with James. Once he was dead I was able to take control of all his assets including his properties snd his bank accounts.”

“Laurent is dead?”Rosalie asked.

“Yes Victoria killed him three months after I was turned.”Bella told her.

“The sisters are going to be very happy to hear that.”Rosalie knew they would be upset they weren’t the ones to take his head.

“They knew Laurent?”Bella was surprised to hear that.

“After he came to us to warn us about James he went to the Denali under the guise of trying out the animal diet. In reality he actually went there for information about the Cullens. Apparently James sent him to Carlisle to try and get him to trust him but Carlisle sent him to Alaska. While he was there he tried to seduce Irina and when she brushed off his advances he went as far as forcing himself on her. Luckily Irina is just as much of a warrior as Kate and Tanya and she easily fought him off. They made enough noise that it alerted Tanya and Kate and they came to see what was going on. They captured him and interrogated him and during the interaction Laurent admitted everything. Somehow he was able to escape before they could kill him.”Rosalie had wished she got a chance at him as well.

“Well Victoria gave him an extremely slow and painful death.”Bella was going to have Victoria tell the mated triad the details when they got back.

“Back to the story. Victoria killed Laurent and you took his assets. Then what happened?”Rosalie wanted to hear about Bella’s journey.

“The first thing we did was move into a property he owned in the Colorado mountains. Before that we were staying in a hotel room living off what savings I had left and the money Victoria stole off of her victims which were mostly drug dealers and pimps. Once we finally had a place we stayed there for a few months just enjoying each others company and getting to know each other better. While we were there Victoria got me a nice computer set up where I used my knowledge to start growing our money by investing and helping out various vampires setting up new ids and helping them hide money from the government. That gave us a nice nest egg and paid for me to go to MIT.”Bella told her.

“Did you change your identity to go to MIT?”Rosalie thought it was smart of Bella to use her talent to help vampires because if she did a good job she would have repeat customers.

“I don’t know it you know much about my home life when I was a human but it wasn’t a good one. Rene sent me to Charlie because I had turned 18 and she was no longer getting child support for me. I honestly don’t know why he let me live him. He was a horrible person who although never laid a hand on me took every chance he could to belittle me.”Bella reached over and grabbed Rosalie’s hand and gave it a squeeze when she heard her growl.”I’m alright.”

“I will kill both of them.”Rosalie wouldn’t stand for anyone treating her mate poorly.

“Victoria already did. With the wolves’ blessing.”Bella had been more than happy to let her mate avenge her.

“The wolves didn’t care that Victoria killed a human?”Rosalie hated that she wasn’t the one who kill Bella’s parents.

“There was an incident with Charlie assaulting Sue Clearwater that Charlie was able to his status as police chief to get away with. The wolves were planning on doing something to him but Victoria came to them first and explained the situation. As it’s against their creed to kill humans they happily let Victoria do it. Although a few of them joined in on the torturing.”Bella thought it was a nice way to get around their purpose.

“What a bastard.”After hearing that Rosalie hated that she wasn’t the one kill him even more.

“Well with him out of the picture and Rene not caring I was able to keep my human identity. That meant that I still had my acceptance to MIT and was able to go to school. I just had to falsify my last high school report card but that was easy to do. Then I spent my college years learning everything I could about technology and mechanical engineering. Specifically robotics. Once I graduated I worked at NASA until was obvious I wasn’t aging then moved on to a private robotics firm. That was where I had the idea of the synthetic blood. I quite the job at the robotics firm and focused my full attention on the blood. To keep money coming in I started a couple companies including the investment firm and have continued to help vampires get new identification. That and any other problems they have.”Bella told her.

“That’s amazing Bella.”Rosalie was very impressed with the life Bella had lived.

“It’s not that impressive.”Bella waved away the praise.”It’s just what Victoria and I have done trying to survive and thrive in the world.”

“No it is impressive. A whole lot more impressive than what I have done since leaving the Cullens. I mean all I have done is work on cars and sell them saving the money. I tried to invest the best I could but I only recently made enough to be one of your clients and it’s the bare minimum needed to be eligible. Giving my money to you was my long term plan for growing my wealth.”Rosalie was counting on Bella’s help to be able to make enough for her to be at the level of independence that she always craved. Especially knowing that Bella was worth so much. Rosalie wanted to be on an equal level with Bella and her second mate.

“Well I personally don’t mind helping and knowing it’s your account I will make sure to give it special attention.”Bella made sure that all her clients got the most she could but knowing it was Rosalie Bella was going to be more aggressive with her investments.

“I appreciate any help you can give me.”Rosalie said.

“It’s no problem. I enjoy helping vampires in need be it by securing their assets or setting them up with new identities.”Bella told her.

“Would you be willing to set myself and the rest of the Denali up with new identification? We are almost to the point we need new ones and Tanya was going to reach out to some friends to find someone to do it. The guy she used went to prison.”Rosalie had heard Tanya’s worries about not being able to find someone to make their ids.

“Of course.”Bella didn’t mind helping.

“Thanks Bella.”Rosalie was relieved that her coven had a way to get new identities.

“It’s no big deal. One of my robots will take care of it.”Bella told her.

“Can you tell me about the robots?’Rosalie wanted to know the different types Bella had.

“What do you want to know?”Bella didn’t mind telling Rosalie about her creations.

“What exactly can they do?”Rosalie asked.

“Pretty much anything you can think of. We have one that acts as a butler that you met. He is in charge of cleaning the house and completing task we set out for him. There is one to take care of the lawn and gardens, one to do maintenance and cleaning for the building and equipment we use to bottle blood in. Basically any manual labor jobs and anything that can make our lives easier. Plus specific specialty test like making ids and taking care of flowers.”Bella used the robots to make her and Victoria’s life easier.

“That’s very impressive.”Rosalie was proud of her mate for being able to achieve something so extraordinary.”Why don’t you make the robots available to the public?”

“They have to be programed individually for each task and I don’t feel comfortable teaching someone how to do it because it would give them the blueprints on how to make one. Then it would be easy for them to steal the design.”Bella wasn’t comfortable having anyone knowing how to make her robots.

“That’s true.”Rosalie wouldn’t want someone stealing her designs either.

“I do make a few for others though. Like I made a few for Amun to help him maintain his security system and help out around his compound. I also made some for the queens that act as assistants and bodyguards.”Bella told her.

“I wanted to ask you about that. Victoria said that they had weapons that shot fire. What else can they do?”Rosalie was very interested in knowing what the robots were capable of.

“They aren’t the only ones who have weapons that shoot fire.”Bella said.

“What do you mean?”Rosalie watched in confusion when Bella reached inside the jacket she was wearing and pulled out some type of gun. A kind Rosalie had never seen before.”What is that?”

Bella held up the gun for Rosalie to see.”This is a gun that Victoria designed. Instead of bullets it contain cartridges that when they hit the target explode causing whatever it hits to catch on fire.”

“That gun can kill a vampire?”Rosalie had never heard of something like that.

“It has been tested and it works.”Bella’s mothers had let Victoria try it on prisoners slated for execution. Something that Bella was in full support of.”All three queens now carry one with them at all times.”

“Do you think I could get one of the guns and some bullets as well?”Rosalie wasn’t a good fighter. She trained with Kate but she wasn’t at the point where she was comfortable going against a vampire alone.

“Victoria was going to make you carry one anyway.”Seeing Rosalie’s confusion Bella explained.”Anyone who spends time with me alone she makes carry a gun to protect me. My safety being her biggest worry. I’m actually surprised that she didn’t insist on coming with us for the drive but I know she wouldn’t want any of you left alone on the estate.”

“Well I will be happy to learn how to use one because like Victoria your safety is my biggest worry.”Rosalie already had plans to discuss Bella’s security with Victoria.

“I’m not totally helpless but I understand your concerns.”Bella did understand why her mates were worried. She would be to if one of them were paralyzed.“We also need to discuss how to work out our future together now that I know about the mate bond.”

“Have you made any decisions on that?”Rosalie wanted to know what Bella was thinking.

“Well I don’t know about you but I would really like to exchange bites if you were comfortable with that.”Bella was barely holding back from jumping on Rosalie and biting her neck.

“I am more than comfortable with that. I just didn’t want to push you into something you weren’t ready for.”Rosalie hadn’t pushed because she was trying to respect Bella’s boundaries.

“Rose ever sine I laid eyes on you in the sitting room I have wanted to rip your clothes off and have my way with you. I assure you I am more than ready to trade bites.”Bella smiled at the slack jawed expression that came over Rosalie’s face.

Rosalie cleared her throat and shifted in her seat at the thought of Bella ripping her clothes off.”Well then we should find some time to do that soon.”

“I’m sure Victoria can entertain the rest of your coven while we are busy.”Bella knew that Victoria wouldn’t like it but Bella wanted her first time with Rosalie to be private.”We will just need her permission to use our sex toys.”

Rosalie hit the brake causing the car to lurch to a stop hearing Bella mention sex toys. Putting her arm out she stopped Bella from flying through the windshield.”Shit sorry Bella. Are you alright?”

“I’m fine. Are you alright?”Bella asked.

“Yes I’m fine.”Rosalie knew if she could she would be blushing. Making sure that it was safe to go she pushed her foot on the accelerator and started driving down the road. Luckily there had been no one behind them or she would have wrecked the car.”You mentioned sex toys. What kind do you have that work on vampires?”

“Victoria created her own line of sex toys that can handle a vampire’s strength. I’m actually surprised you haven’t heard of them because she supplies a lot of vampires with her various products.”Bella was proud of Victoria’s work because it not only made her a lot of money but it made a lot of vampires happy.

“I’m not even sure Tanya, Kate and Irina know about them. I know they would be interested in buying some though.”Rosalie had heard the trio complain about the many toys they ruined and their wish that someone would make some for vampires to use.

“I don’t think Victoria would mind talking to them about it.”Bella said.

“Do you think when we get back we can have alone time to complete our bond?”Rosalie asked.

“I don’t see a problem with that.”Bella would be happy to spend some time to complete the bond.

“I’ll be able to test drive some other cars later though right?”As much as Rosalie wanted to complete the bond she still wanted to drive some more cars.

“You can drive any one of them you want. If you want I can even show you my current project another concept car I’m working on.”Bella offered.

“I would love that.”Rosalie wasn’t going to turn down the offer to look at a car that hadn’t even been finished yet. She was hoping that Bella would let her work on it with her.

“I think you will like my workshop. It also has a few other project cars I haven’t gotten a chance to work on yet.”Bella told her.

“I am very interested to see what you got.”Rosalie knew that based on Bella’s collection that whatever she had to work on was likely going to be something rare. Pulling back on the road that brought them back to the compound Rosalie was excited to finally be able to get to complete the bond with Bella. She had fantasied about having sex with Bella and biting her neck many times since she first laid eyes on the girl. Those fantasies didn’t stop when she thought Bella had died. They still came but with them came feelings of loss and grief. Now though she was barely holding back from pouncing on Bella. It was even harder because Bella had giving her permission to bite her and showed her want to bite Rosalie in return. Rosalie just hoped that Victoria didn’t object because she didn’t want to have to fight Bella’s other mate for alone time with Bella. She would if she had to she just didn’t want to upset Bella. Bella being happy and safe being Rosalie’s main concern in life.
