“I hate that Rosalie isn’t here to help kill him.”Bella said from her spot standing in-between Sulpicia and Athenodora’s throne. The trio along with Didyme, Victoria and the Denali sisters were all in the throne room waiting for the guards to bring in Carlisle. The man had been caught in Ireland at one of the Irish coven’s homes after Siobhan had contacted Tanya telling her his whereabouts. Carlisle had assumed the Irish coven were allies and had not hesitated to accept their invitation to hide out with them. Not that Bella cared how he was caught. What she cared about was that Rosalie would finally be free of the sire bond. Bella just wished Rosalie could be the one to strike the killing blow because out of all of them she had been wronged the most.

“The guards are videoing it so she will be able to see the replay.”Sulpicia wished Rosalie could be there as well and had arranged for it to be recorded so Rosalie could get the satisfaction of seeing Carlisle’s death.

“I can’t believe the idiot thought the Irish coven would protect him.”Victoria didn’t know where Carlisle got the idea that the Irish coven was on his side.

“Especially because they didn’t join up with them after Edward’s visit.”Tanya wouldn’t have gone to the Irish coven for help if she was Carlisle.

“Well whatever his reasons he did and now we finally get the chance to kill him.”Athenodora was looking forward to beating on him.

“Not before he watches Edward’s body being burnt.”Didyme was happy they were recording all of this because she knew she would be watching it many times in the future.

“I almost wish he could see so he could watch me light on him on fire.”Bella said.

“It’s a good thing he woke up so we don’t have to wait.”Kate didn’t want to prolong Carlisle’s life any longer than necessary.

“I wonder if once Bella masters her gift that she could use it so she can control how long they are passed out.”Athenodora mused.

“We will discuss it with Eleazar later.”Sulpicia would like to know as well. Before anyone could say anything a guard member entered the room with two other guards dragging a fighting Carlisle.

“Your majesties I present to you Carlisle of the Cullen coven.”The guard announced.

“Bring him forward.”Sulpicia ordered. She sneered at the man when the two guards holding him threw him on the ground in front of their thrones.”Welcome to Volterra Carlisle of the Cullen coven.”

Carlisle got to his feet and fixed his clothing. Looking around he was upset that Rosalie wasn’t in the room. Based on the reports of his allies in the castle Rosalie never left Bella’s side. The reports also said that she was the one to kill Emmett and had hurt Edward badly. Both things he did not believe. Rosalie was too weak and docile to kill or hurt anyone.”I demand to know why I have been treated so badly.”

“You don’t have the right to make demands boy.”Athenodora told him.

“I’m no boy.”Carlisle was highly insulted he was called that.

“Compared to myself, my mates and the sisters you are a toddler that has yet to learn to walk.”Athenodora smiled when Bella snorted out a laugh.

“I am a highly respected coven leader how dare you call me a toddler!”Carlisle growled out.

“Look at the toddler throwing a tantrum.”Bella staged whispered to Athenodora causing not only the warrior queen to laugh but Victoria, Kate and Irina as well. Tanya was smiling along with Sulpicia while Bella doubted Didyme heard the joke based on the glare she was giving Carlisle.

“You shut your mouth or I will make you.”Carlisle wasn’t afraid of Bella. She was just as weak as Rosalie. He wasn’t afraid of any of the women. That was why he paid them no mind when they all growled at him.

Bella put her hand on Victoria’s arm to hold her back.”We need to go through the trial before we kill him.”

“No one is killing me.”Carlisle would kill all of them before they even laid a finger on him and if he was somehow overwhelmed his allies would save him.

“Your charges are the following.”Sulpicia ignored Carlisle’s statement. The man would die they just had to give him a trial to show that they were the fair rulers they tried to be.”One count of facilitating a false mate bond, one count using a sire bond to force a vampire away from their mate, one count telling a human about the existence of vampires and leaving them without changing or killing them, one count attempted kidnapping of the Volturi princess consort, one count attempted kidnapping the Volturi princess and one count treason. How do you plead to these charges?”

“I plead not guilty because I committed no crimes.”Carlisle was guilty but going to admit that to anyone.

“Alright let’s go through them one by one. Count one facilitating a false mate bond. Why did you let Edward claim Bella as his mate when in fact she was Rosalie’s? Something that you knew of and reinforced the lie to Bella many times.”Sulpicia was very interested in how Carlisle was going to justify everything.

“I was not facilitating a false mate bond. Edward is mated to Bella. Rosalie is obviously using the sire bond to force Bella into a false mate bond.”Carlisle hated the fact that he didn’t just turn Bella while they were in Forks. If he had then Bella would have been under his control and Edward would have had her as his mate.

“Rosalie is not my only sire you idiot.”Bella told him.

Athenodora laughed at the shocked look on Carlisle’s face.”What you thought that Bella would be stupid enough to trust just one person to sire her with how powerful her gift is?”

“But then…she…”Carlisle didn’t know what to think about that. He had assumed that Rosalie was Bella’s sire and had planned everything around that. His entire focus since they found out Bella and Rosalie were in Alaska was to get control of Rosalie so he control Bella. Even when he was brought to the castle his plan had been to use his bond with Rosalie to force Bella to free him. All of the devastation to his cause and Edward’s capture could have been prevented if he had known that Rosalie wasn’t Bella’s only sire.

“Look at how devastated he is.”Kate said.

“Using Bella to overthrow us was his grand plan. I bet that he was still plotting using her when he was brought into this room.”Sulpicia wouldn’t be surprised if Carlisle was still planning on it.

“Who is Bella’s other sire then?”Carlisle wanted to know so he could figure out a way to use them as well.

“It’s none of your business but as I am taking great pleasure in seeing your reaction to having your plans ruined I will tell you. Bella was sired by Rosalie, Victoria, Tanya and myself.”Athenodora smiled brightly as she saw the small amount of hope Carlisle had die. She had no doubt that he was planning on using Bella’s other sires to gain control of Bella.

“And because she has four sires Bella can’t be forced into a false mate bond. Meaning that you are guilty of not only facilitating a false one between Edward and Bella but of using the sire bond to force Rosalie away from her mate.”Didyme told him.

“I did no such thing. The three of you and Rosalie got together and made Bella be Rosalie’s mate.”Carlisle accused.

Victoria rolled her eyes.”Bella felt the mate bond with Rosalie well before she was a vampire. Proof of that was Bella attacking Kate when she was human when Kate threatened Rosalie with her gift.”

“That means nothing.”Carlisle said.

“Since we dealt with count one and two on to count three. You are charged with leaving a human with the knowledge of vampires without changing or killing her.”Sulpicia was unsurprised by the growls she heard. She too didn’t like thinking about Bella being killed either.”You as you pointed out to us are a coven leader. You know better than to do that.”

“Bella was not left behind. We were coming back for her.”At least it had been Carlisle’s plan to come back for her. Something happened before he did that included Victoria who he didn’t understand why she was with Bella. He had expected her to be dead based on Alice’s vision of her going into the woods and her future disappearing. They all thought the wolves killed her.

“That I believe is the first time you were being truthful however you still left her for four months before another vampire came along and took care of the issue. If Bella wanted she could have exposed our kind during that time period.”Sulpicia knew that they were lucky that Bella hadn’t as the queen fully believed that any other human in Bella’s situation would have.”That being the case you are being found guilty of count three as well.”

“I didn’t break the law!”Carlisle was going back for Bella. No matter what Edward said.

“On to counts four and five.”Sulpicia once again ignored Carlisle.”You are being charged with the attempting kidnapping of the Volturi princess consort and the Volturi princess. How do you plead?”

“I didn’t try to kidnap anyone. I was simply trying to get Rosalie and Bella out of the Denali’s clutches.”Carlisle told her.

“So you admit that you sent vampires to kidnap Rosalie and Bella?”Sulpicia asked.

“They were not going to kidnap them. They were going to free both of them from their true kidnappers the Denali Coven.”Carlisle figured putting the blame on the Denali was the best idea.

”We didn’t kidnap Rosalie or Bella. We protected them from you and your cronies. Cronies that hurt Bella severely.”Kate still felt guilty that she hadn’t protected Bella from the gifted vampire. Even if it wasn’t her fault.

“I never told anyone to hurt Bella.”Carlisle once again lied. It was his backup plan to kill Bella if he couldn’t gain control of her.

“Emmett and some of the other captives have already admitted to you ordering them to kill Bella if they couldn’t get Rosalie to control her.”Sulpicia had seen Carlisle give the order in their memories.

“Well they are lying to get shorter sentences.”Carlisle said.

“They were never offered anything for information as the only sentence for anyone involved with you and your scheme to overthrow us is death.”Sulpicia didn’t care what role they played everyone who had a hand in Carlisle, Jasper, Esme and Alice’s rebellion was going to die for thinking they could not only overthrow them but hurt Bella in any way.”That actually ties into the last charge treason. How do you plead?”

“I would never try to overthrow you. I have nothing but respect for all three of you. It’s the Denali who have always talked about taking the thrones. The people I have gathered have been trying to fight against their rebellion not stage our own.”Carlisle didn’t pay any attention to the hissing and growling coming from the sisters and Bella. They couldn’t hurt him.

“We are the ones who took your plot to the queens as we are loyal subjects.”Tanya would never be involved in a rebellion.

Carlisle pointed at Tanya.”There is the proof of her using me as a scapegoat.”

“Alright so you have admitted that you have gathered allies to help you overthrow us.”Sulpicia said.

“I admit no such thing.”Carlisle wouldn’t admit to anything.

“Guards gather Edward and his pieces and bring them here.”Sulpicia ordered the guards.”While they do that bring Carlisle to me.”

Carlisle perked up when they mentioned Edward. He knew even he was in pieces his son would be able to help him escape. When two guards grabbed him he struggled to get free but the guards easily overpowered him.”Let me go.”

“Give me his hand.”Sulpicia wasn’t happy that she had to touch Carlisle but it was the only way to get the information they wanted.

“What are you doing? Let me go.”Carlisle didn’t understand why Sulpicia was holding his hand.

Sulpicia took the hand in her own and closed her eyes. She watched as Carlisle’s entire life played out on her eyelids. Once finished she dropped his hand and punched him in the face hard enough that his body flew out of the guards’ hold and slammed into the wall behind him.”You bastard.”

“Shit.”Bella mumbled.

“Isabella language.”Didyme scolded. She was very interested in what Sulpicia found but wouldn’t let Bella cursing be ignored.

“Seriously?”Bella asked.

“Not only are you the Volturi princess but we are in the middle of a trial. You need to behave respectably.”Didyme told her.

“Anyway what did you see Cia?”Athenodora didn’t care if Bella swore.

Sulpicia glared at Carlisle while he pulled himself out of the wall.”The man not only has plotting to overthrow us he planned to keep the three of us as his slaves once he did. He had grand plans of all the disgusting things he was going to make us do to him and for him.”

“I’ll kill him.”Athenodora was out of her throne before anyone could stop her and had her hands around Carlisle neck. She ignored all of Carlisle’s punches and kicks as she slowly removed his head. Before she could finish two sets of arms were pulling her away.”Let me go!”

“I’m sorry my love but we have plans for him that include him staying alive for a little while longer.”Didyme was just as mad as Athenodora but didn’t want Carlisle to have a quick death.

“He hasn’t seen Edward die yet.”Bella reminded her as she tightened her hold on her mother.

Athenodora sagged in their arms.”You are right.”

“Good now guards restrain Carlisle.”Sulpicia was happy that Didyme and Bella were able to stop Athenodora. She like Didyme didn’t want Carlisle to have a quick death.

“Let me go!”Carlisle didn’t understand why his allies hadn’t already stepped in to prevent him from getting hurt. Seeing the throne room doors open and two guards entering carrying his son he gasped in shock at seeing the condition Edward was in.”What have you monsters done?!”

“Carlisle is that you?”Edward was relieved to hear Carlisle’s voice. It meant that Carlisle hadn’t abandoned him like the queens said.

“Yes Edward I’m here.”Carlisle wasn’t sure exactly what they had done to Edward but it was far too much damage to come back from. Especially Edward’s missing eyeballs. Carlisle may be a doctor but didn’t have a clue how to replace someone’s eyeballs so they could see. That wasn’t even getting into the shape his limbs were in. His fingers and toes were missing chucks out of them and what was left was splintered. Carlisle was not happy about any of it because not only did he not want his son to be hurt with Edward in that condition it made it impossible for Edward to help him escape and for him to take Edward with him. The boy would be too much of a hinderance.

“Good then will you please tell these harlots to let me and Bella go so you can fix us.”Edward knew Carlisle could get the queens to do whatever he wanted.

Bella rolled her eyes.”I told you the changes happened when I was turning and I unlike you can go anytime I want. I’m not a prisoner.”

“You still need your mothers’ permission.”Didyme wouldn’t let Bella leave the castle without her. Now that she found her daughter the queen was never letting her be that far away from her.

“Mothers?”Carlisle asked.

“Bella has a familiar bond with myself and my mates. That is how she gained the title of Volturi princess.”Sulpicia didn’t care if it was Carlisle or anyone else. She would proudly tell them about her bond with Bella.

“Another lie you have brainwashed Bella into believing.”Edward said.

“Let’s get to the fun part of the proceeding.”Athenodora was getting bored with all the talking. She wanted to move on to the beatings and killings.

“Carlisle of the Cullen coven you have been found guilty of your crimes. You punishment will be death by beating.”Sulpicia told him.

“I have committed no crimes.”Carlisle wasn’t worried about being killed. Even without Edward’s help he had allies in the castle that would help him.

“But before we do that Bella if you would.”Sulpicia waved her hand towards Edward.

“Of course mother.”Bella gave Victoria a kiss before before making her way to Edward’s remains.

“There is more of proof of my innocence. If Bella is kissing Victoria that means she is mated to Rosalie.”Carlisle wasn’t sure why Bella was kissing Victoria because he knew for a fact Rosalie was Bella’s mate but he wasn’t going question it when it would prove him not guilty.

“Like her mothers Bella has two mate bonds. Meaning that Victoria and Rosalie are both her mates.”Athenodora was proud of the fact that her daughter took after her mothers.

“That’s not true.”Edward knew they were lying about that as well.”I am Bella’s mate.”

“If you were my mate I wouldn’t be able to do this.”Bella said as she took Edward’s hand and lit on fire. She then laid it on top of the pile of limbs that Edward’s torso was on top of. Hearing his screams and cries of pain as she walked back to take her place next to Victoria was extremely satisfying.

“Edward no!!”Carlisle couldn’t believe that they actually killed his son. Edward had been his greatest joy ever since he had been turned. When he had been captured Carlisle had wanted to storm the castle to get him back but it was decided it was too risky. Seeing the state Edward was in when he was brought to the throne room was shocking and Carlisle may have had to leave him but he would have come back for Edward. The plan was for his son to be the prince in his new kingdom. That was no longer going to happen. He once again wondered why his allies hadn’t stepped in to stop this.

“God that was so hot.”Victoria grabbed Bella, pulled her tight to her body and kissed her passionately not caring they were in the throne room. Bella didn’t seem to care either because Victoria felt her shirt being pulled off. Before it happened Bella was out of her arms. She growled at Tanya who was holding Bella away from her.

”You two need to calm down because we are in the throne room with dozens of people. Also we are in the middle of Carlisle’s punishment so if you two don’t want miss it you need to stop.”Tanya told her.

Bella took a deep breath and let it out slowly.”You are right.”

“Are you going to behave?”Tanya asked.

“Yes.”Bella wasn’t dragging Victoria back to their rooms only because she wanted a chance with Carlisle.

“Good.”Tanya gave Bella a hug from behind then released her.

“Back to Carlisle. Who wants a chance with him?”Athenodora knew she was going to take her chance.

“I want to.”Bella wanted the chance so she could avenge Rosalie.

“It you do you need to be mindful of your emotions and not let them overwhelm you.”Sulpicia would allow Bella to be involved only if she was careful.

“I will.”Bella said.

“I’m going to take my chance.”Victoria wanted to not only avenge Rosalie she wanted to kill the man who thought he could use her mate as a weapon.

“I’m in.”Kate wasn’t going to be left out of hurting the person responsible for trying to kill her family and take Rosalie and Bella away.

“I’ll pass.”Didyme was waiting for Esme.

“I’ll pass as well.”Irina was waiting for Alice.

“I would like to show my displeasure. Even though Carlisle won’t be able to take much.”Tanya wanted to hurt Carlisle for trying to not only kill her coven and take Rosalie and Bella from them but also trying to tell the queens it was the Denali who were overthrowing the queens not him.

“You’re right he will not. That however will not stop us from beating on him.”Athenodora stood from her throne.”Guards release him.”

As soon as Carlisle was free he took a defensive stance.”You think you a mere woman will best me?”

“I think when Bella was human she could have bested you.”Athenodora told him.

“That’s not saying much because Bella bested me when she was human.”Kate was actually quite proud of the fact that her sister was strong enough when she was human to overpower her.

“That’s became you are weak as well.”Carlisle used the fact that Bella defeated Kate when she was human as another reason he needed to get Bella on his side. Something that would happen after he and his allies beat three of her sires. Allies that Carlisle didn’t understand why they weren’t acting. This was the perfect situation for them to make themselves known.

“I guess we are about to find out who is the weak one.”Victoria said as she punched Carlisle in the face causing him to fly towards Tanya who kicked him into Athenodora.

Athenodora grabbed Carlisle by the shoulder and ripped his arm off. She laughed when Carlisle screamed in pain.”Ahhh I love the sound of a weak man in pain.”

“I’m not weak.”Carlisle growled out. Gathering his strength he swung his remaining fist at the queen only to cry out in pain when his other arm was ripped off. Looking around he tried to find the vampires that were aligned with him. Focusing on one he screamed in rage.”Why are you not helping me?”

“What are you talking about?”Bella asked.

“Carlisle is wondering why the vampires in the castle that aligned themselves with him haven’t acted. The reason for that Carlisle is they are scared to death of Bella but don’t worry I have all their identities so they will be killed along with everyone else.”Sulpicia had payed close attention to the vampires Carlisle had contact with in the castle. Her plan was to round them up once Carlisle was dead. The reason she knew they were scared of Bella is because they already caught three of them and once interrogated they revealed that they hadn’t come to Edward’s aide because they feared Bella using her gift on them.

Victoria punched Carlisle in the stomach sending flying into Kate.”The have good reason to be afraid.”

“Yeah my sister is a badass.”Kate grabbed Carlisle around the neck and activated her gift.

Bella watched as Carlisle thrashed around screaming and begging for help.”I wish I could use my gift on him but I want him to be awake when he is lit on fire.”

“It’s not safe for you to use your gift anyway.”Sulpicia told her.

Kate released Carlisle and punched him towards Tanya.”We will get you trained up and you will be using it in no time.”

“We sent for Jane so she should be home soon.”Didyme and her mates sent for Jane right after Bella had left to go feed.

Tanya kicked Carlisle’s knee separating the bottom half of his leg to break off from his body. When the man crumbled to the ground she kicked him in the stomach smiling when he groaned.”Do you still think we are weak Carlisle?”

“You won’t get away with this.”Carlisle knew that Sulpicia was lying and his allies would save him. He also knew she didn’t have their identities because she had no way of getting the information from him.

Victoria stomped on his other knee and separated the lower half of that leg off as well.”We already have you idiot.”

“I’ll take the rest of his legs.”Bella wished she could hurt the man more but it wouldn’t be safe for her use her gift.

Once Bella finished removing the rest of his limbs Kate stepped forward and laid her hand on his chest and activated her gift.”It’s to bad Rosalie isn’t here to finish him off.”

“She will get to see it.”Irina knew that Rosalie would take great pleasure in watching not only Carlisle’s death but Edward’s as well.

“Light him on fire.”Athenodora said when Kate pulled her hand away and stood.

“Any last words Carlisle?”Bella asked.

“Now is the time!!”Carlisle screamed. He knew this wasn’t the end for him. It couldn’t be. He had too many plans for the future.

“You are right Carlisle. Now is the time. The time for you to die.”Bella took one of Carlisle’s arms from Tanya, lit it on fire and put it on Carlisle’s torso. She paid close attention to his face wanting to see every detail of his final moments so she could relive them anytime she wanted.

Victoria threw the rest of Carlisle’s limbs in the fire.“He truly was pitiful.”

“It was nice seeing him losing more and more hope with everything that was revealed and his despair at seeing Edward die.”Tanya had liked the way Carlisle’s whole world seemed to crumble in front of him during the trial.

“Now there is only three more Cullens to go.”Victoria was looking forward to finally being free of the Cullens so she, Bella and Rosalie could travel.

“Plus all their followers. Which reminds me Cia darling who are guard members that we need to take care of?”Athenodora was excited to be able to kill more people that targeted she, her mates and their daughter.

“While you guys take care of the guards we are going to go meet up with Rosalie.”Bella wanted to tell Rosalie the good news.

“We will come with you.”Kate said before anyone could stop her from joining. She didn’t get that much with Bella and Kate had tons of stuff she wanted to do with the newborn. None of which would happen if Bella kept herself locked away with her mates.

“Good idea.”Irina would like to spend some time with triad couple.

“I wouldn’t mind spending some time with you guys.”Tanya had missed not only her newborn but Rosalie and even Victoria.

“That’s ok I guess.”Bella would prefer to be alone with her mates but she did want to spend time with the sisters as well.

“After we finish with the guards we will send for you.”Sulpicia wanted to cuddle her daughter and Bella promised the next time they were together she would sit on her lap.

“I would like that.”Bella wouldn’t mind spending time with her mothers.

“Then get going so we can deal with the guard issue.”Didyme would rather Bella stay with them but if she didn’t Didyme would just hurry her mates along with the guard issue so she could see Bella as soon as possible.

“See you later mom.”Bella gave Athenodora a hug and kiss on the cheek.

“I promise that the deaths of those who targeted us will be painful.”Athenodora was going to have Carlisle’s allies begging for death by the time she was done with them. Just like the others she had already taken care of.

Sulpicia received her own hug and cheek kiss.“We will have some blood delivered to your rooms so you can feed again.”

“Thank you mother.”Bella wasn’t thirsty but would drink the blood to make her mothers happy.

Didyme not to be left out got a hug and cheek kiss as well.”We will be having you brought blood regularly from now on but let us know if you get thirsty in-between deliveries.”

“I will.”Bella doubted she would get thirsty.

“Come on Bella let’s go talk to Rosalie.”Victoria said.

“See you later.”Bella gave her mothers a wave and took Victoria’s hand. Together with the sisters they made there was out of the throne room. Bella was very excited to talk to Rosalie and tell her she was finally free of Carlisle and the sire bond. Rosalie wouldn’t have to look over her shoulder or worry about Carlisle gaining control of her anymore. Bella knew that ever since Rosalie found out about Carlisle’s plan to force her into a false bond that she had been living in fear of it happening. Now though with Carlisle dead Rosalie would be able to live the life she always wanted and Bella was going to do everything she could to help Rosalie get that life. First they had to deal with Alice, Jasper and Esme but once they were dead Bella was going to push for her and her mates to go on vacation. They deserved a break after all the drama they had been through.
