February 2022 - New Hope Settlement

This month I collaborated with Misjay Maps, and together we created a Mining and Cave themed package.

About the Settlement

As you sail round Hope Point, all you will see are cliffs covered with dense forest, a small fishing village along the coast below the cliffs, and a couple of rocky trails winding up the cliffs. Nothing much of interest going on here, may as well keep sailing on by.

If you do happen to land and make it up the cliff paths, you will find the hidden town of New Hope built on the terraces of an old open cut mine pit, or perhaps it was a quarry? All around the top of the pit, is a deep trench with a protective wall built in the middle of it - set low in the trench so that it does not show above the forest.
There is one walled entrance with a traders hall that visitors must pass through to enter the town. And there is only 1 road out through the wilderness to connect them to other places.

Since mining stopped, the inhabitants have been working hard to make their pit-town green and cosy, a secret haven hidden away from the world. Though recently, some have taken to delving beneath and even building down there in the darkness.

About the Tokens

Caves are mysterious places. Some caves have valuable ores and gems, others are used to shelter from the weather, and every now and then a creature uses a cave as their home.

This token pack contains interesting monsters that can be added to your adventure.
