New Comic -- It's Like We're Cosmic Outlaws (Part 2)

So! The long-awaited continuation of "It's Like We're Cosmic Outlaws" is finally out. It's aptly titled "It's Like We're Cosmic Outlaws (Part 2)" for simplicity's sake, and I heavily recommend you at least glance through Part One a second time if you don't remember the details, cause otherwise Part Two will be hard to understand.
You'll see we're not hosting the comics on Imgur! A friend of mine offered their private server (because Imgur was giving me massive issues; it took between four or five uploads on average to ghet those posts running, it was a nightmare), so many thanks to them.
And that's it! Go read the comic, I feel it's my best yet, especially if we consider it the second half of "It's Like We're Cosmic Outlaws (Part 1)", which was already the best I'd done. Real cream of the crop, this one.

I'm afraid it's not very deep, but it is absolutely not just the word "queen" in it. It's a reference to The King in Yellow, the book by Robert W. Chambers (which arguably predates Lovecraft when it comes to lovecraftian fiction! Lovecraft himself was very inspired by it, and often directly referenced it in his works). In that book there's this play called 'the Yellow King' about a dude who's, yknow, the Yellow King, and he makes people go crazy and is like a weird figure which encompasses truths that turn you mad, something something not a lot of detail is shared, so as to keep it scary. Since the Ladies are sorta odd, immortal, have control over life and death, and could easily be seen as weird monsters if their existence was played for drama, I felt it was a fun thing to reference in there. Also because, y'know, they turn Dash into Twilight's mom, and that felt like it's playing with truth and madness and whatnot. BUt like there's not much else to it, I just needed a street name and I thought "Oh, this one's cute. Let's change it to 'queen' to make it less direct and also cause Ladies".
2021-03-05 10:00:52 +0000 UTCI love this, but also it reminded me that I still don't understand what "Yellow Queen Street, 306; the name is not a coincidence" means, and it drives me crazy. Unless it's just the presence of the word "queen," in which case I'd just be a bit annoyed that I spent so much time overthinking it.
