2025-10-25 18:51:47 +0000 UTCI agree with Gary that a lot of the awkwardness and slowness of the first season isn't as noticeable if you binge the whole thing at once. I didn't start watching BCS until there were already two seasons on Netflix. Listening to these episode retrospectives is reminding me of individual plot moments that feel more cohesive if you aren't waiting week to week for a new episode. It's also fascinating to see leftover plot elements from earlier drafts of the script. Like Howard's punishment of Kim is definitely from an earlier draft where he was the villain of the show and not Chuck. They end up taking those dangling threads and build plot with it later, but at the beginning it seems awkward. Great analysis and episode, I know it's awhile but I can't wait for the Kettlemans to return.
