Unfilmable 74: Creep 2

They could have called it "Creeps", but no. It's Creep 2.

Your favorite found footage horror man is back. Is he a monster? Yes. But not a supernatural one. And he's back to stare at you through a camera.

More than anything, I wanted Sara to maintain her stoic, disaffected personality throughout the film, but when she confirmed she didn’t believe he was a serial killer, I rolled my eyes. It felt like we were going to get a character who was more than just another victim. If there are other sequels I fear we wont see Josef being challenged in this way ever again

For what it’s worth, the Friendship trailer really oversells the “social horror” elements. It’s hilarious, but a pretty big stretch for the show, imo

I’m checking out the creep tapes because of this and it’s a lot of fun

Definitely interested in seeing Friendship too, and it made me wonder if you guys have watched Nathan Fielder’s “The Curse” which I think does apply to the show, just that it’s a slow (but great) slow burn.

Watched the first Creep movie earlier this year and thought it was okay. But it was a movie that stuck with me and got me constantly thinking about it. And after listening to both of your episodes of the two movies, I had to rewatch the first one. And man, just by watching it a second time you really start to appreciate how good the movie is. Especially when you know it’s just two guys who, for the most of the movie, improvises and just going with the flow. Incredible!

All that talk of the "We'll get to them all" gives me hope for Lake Mungo eventually getting the Unfilmable treatment. That's my all timer.

I had to look up what physiognomy meant but Google instead decided to tell me what the word was in 5 Slavic languages.

I wonder if there will ever be a movie that is a response to social horror, where the protagonist is just reflexively murdering anyone that puts them in an awkward social situation.

Creep 2: Look Who's Creepin'

Really enjoyed this movie. Always glad when I see a sequel try to take things in a different direction. Have to agree that it feels more like a compilation of scenes than a story though. The idea of a serial killer having a mid life crisis about his murders was extremely fun for me though.
