2023-12-18 11:07:29 +0000 UTCI appreciate it because it shows Buffy’s affection for Gil’s both as watcher and starting to be a father figure to her. I think Buffy’s reaction is more about jealousy about how Giles treats Kenda more than a reaction to Kendra herself.

2023-12-18 06:40:38 +0000 UTCI honestly love Buffy’s pettiness with Kendra when they first meet lol I think it’s good when the show emphasizes Buffy’s humanity like that. She’s flawed and often driven by her emotions which isn’t a bad thing, just makes her a more complete protagonist. Plus I feel like it’s very natural to feel territorial and a little jealous at this new person coming in with the same calling as her…especially when she’s questioning everything about Buffy’s life and choices. I found their little snarky back and forth comments pretty entertaining 😋
