the queen and the Woodborn
it is a tale of a queen that has fulfilled her duty to the crown and sired a heir to the throne. after that she found herself being ignored, left to her own devices. nobody paid her any attention and after her son turned twelve he was taken to be raised by the king and his council. left alone and ignored being no more but a throne ornament, she takes to wandering on her own, first in the palace and soon after outside. these walks get progressively longer until she wanders too far in the old woods and stumbles into the territory of the old gods and there she encounters the Woodtborn, and her grand adventure begins.
in the style of the old fairy tales as her punishment for trespassing into the sacred realm, the Woodborn asks for the queen's first born child to be raised in the woods. the queen pleads for mercy and an arrangement is struck where the queen will serve the Woodborn.
hilarity ensues.
so yeah i kinda want to do a think one and done volume and tell a cool fantasy romance type thing, dark and exciting and just...fun.
think of it as a miyazaki story for an adult audience. a fairy tale with a mature rating XD
for this i will have to reorganize some of my future plans but as this will be a single probably 200+ page volume, my plans won't get derailed for too long.
might do it between sunstone volumes, i'll see

I buy a lot of indy comics off Kickstart along this vein of storytelling. The Harleen book has garnered you are larger mainstream following that would probably like this.

Or like how Fine Print was only about a lady having to decide who was the better succubi/succubus? Or is it more like how Harleen was a short black and white comic that you weren't going to complete?
