2023-11-08 00:53:17 +0000 UTCWas delighted to hear you guys discuss the STFU. Bought a book titled "Mean Things Happening In This Land" by H.L. Mitchell. He was a co-founder of the STFU (can't remember if he is the gas station owner or dry cleaner). It is his Biography but concentrates on his work with the sharecroppers union. Great tale and after reading it and talking about it with my union brothers and sisters found out some black and white co-workers (actual friends of mine) were children and grandchildren of sharecroppers from the Arkansas delta. Northwest Indiana where I live was a major destination of the great migration. Anyways sorry to ramble but felt the need to share, thanks again.
