Update regarding Suggestions, Requests and the $10 tier (April 3, 2025)

Hello! Sorry to drop another update so soon into the year but I feel like I needed to address some things. To be transparent, this page is not my full time dedication, I truly want it to be but its not. This is something I do on the side and with a full-time job, commissions, and making sure both the Patreon and the Subscribestar page are updated weekly is taxing. So to remedy that, after this month, suggestions are going to be handled differently.

Suggestions really haven't been "suggestions", and have basically become "requests", where I have done almost all of them and it has become sort of a personal issue where I hate declining them. The original idea was to have people suggest characters to be used in a poll. But to be transparent. I don't have enough people on either site to warrant that. I wanted supporters to get a bang for their buck with their suggestions but to be realistic I can't satisfy everyone. 

I would love to have supporters' input on what they want to see from me but at this point in time creating a fully rendered, or sometimes, animated suggestion is very time consuming and impeding on other projects. So I plan on doing something experimental

To facilitate this abrupt update, this month I will attempt to to keep up my "Suggestion" streak by making them be either sketches, flats, rough monochrome renders, or just a big sketchdump. If this becomes liked well enough I might consider this again for something akin to rapid fire suggestions. The last request for this month will receive prior suggestion treatment.

Starting next month, suggestions will be will be just that, suggestions. 1 or 2 might be taken and some won't. In time once I have enough people supporting me they will become polls, but after May, suggestions will be on the back burner for a bit. 

On that note this is an update for the $10 tier, I plan to work on a process that better supports it such as creating monthly Timelapse and PSD packs. My source files are enormous. Some files going over 1GB which are far too big to be hosted on Subscribestar and I want both sites to have equal benefits. 

As for the the topic of "requests" I would also feel absolutely awful having to decline these, and currently the people within this tier, are getting less bang for their buck when the $5 tier is basically receiving the same benefits. After this month I plan to remove requests entirely and just replace them with heavily weighted suggestions. This tier will still have the same prior benefits such as discounts, source files, timelapses, and double voting power during polls.

My deepest apologies to everyone if these were your main reasons for pledging. Especially after making that recent suggestions post. I plan to return to this idea in the future, but as of now I want to work on some personal artwork, animations, and commissions, while dabbling in suggestions now and then. If you change or cancel your pledge I completely understand. 

I don't want that New Year post to be an empty promise so this small change will allow me to make due on that promise.

TLDR; Suggestions are going to be on hiatus after May, and will just become suggestions not requests. Requests in the $10 tier are now heavily weighted suggestions. Personal artwork and commissions will be the focus for a bit.
