Luis Castillo's Idea #1, Sketched
Added 2021-05-26 06:14:30 +0000 UTCHello everybody! Here I share with you the first sketch of a series of ideas that my friend and Lab Assistant Luis Castillo had. I know it is rough, but you get to see the process of ideation, creation and improvement. This is Applejack, carrying baskets of apples towards her house. As an Earth-pony based mermaid, she can survive on land. She can go from place to place because she propels herself through a combination of small hopping motions. Naturally, for longer distances, she depends on machines and vehicles to travel.

I find AJ the best EQG mermaid. And continuing to be one always then onward by choice or otherwise appeals. Knowing her, I don't think she'd be the kind to take to being naked all of the time, especially when she is on dry land most of it. I presume the curse does not span this far with the "No clothes" thing. I think this is the first time she's been seen naked like this. There is a French cartoon series with a mermaid with an affinity for ping pong and is endlessly hunted by a persistent hyena who is unhinged as can get in his obsession. She can live above or below water, breathe in both, and her fins serve as miniature legs. Like jabberjaw. The cartoon fin-walk.
