Early Character Artwork Comparison

Hello everyone! Happy November. October's monthly "thank you" artwork will be ready sometime this week, but in the meantime I thought I'd do a quick little dig into the past.

These are the first finalized designs of Murphy and Mitzi compared to their most recent appearances. By "first finalized designs", I mean these are the actual first two illustrated art pieces of these characters from when I figured out what I wanted them to look like. There are plenty of sketches and concepts for them prior to this, but these were made shortly before I first shared them to the world.

Remember when Mitzi's bandana tie was way too big? Or when Murphy had gapped teeth?

It's honestly hard to look back at these, the lines are so much less polished and the colors are disgusting. But they needed to happen to get to where they are today. Makes me wonder if they'll look any different in the future.
