Valentine and Sofia were two princesses who were married to each other and switched bodies. The princesses snapped out of their thoughts, looking at the fountain with the crystal on it.
"Hello, princesses. What brings you to this forgotten place" they heard, both convinced that the voice was made of crystal.
Sofia and Valentine looked at each other and said together. "Who are you?"
They looked at each other ominously again, dissatisfied that the rival\partner decided to speak earlier than her.
Sofia added "And show up immediately"
After a moment of silence, the girls heard a voice a little louder than before. "Who I am doesn't matter anymore. I'm dying soon, and after hundreds of years of loneliness, I'm so glad someone will witness it."
"I'm so sorry," said Valentine. "Can we do something for you?" Then she felt Sofia's piercing gaze.
"It's very nice of you to ask," replied the voice, "but it's inevitable. This is the cycle of life and you have to let it run its natural course."
Sophie impatiently shouted "Can you free us? We are trapped between these trees because this person here has decided to walk through this crack at the same time as me."
Valentine didn't like the comment, but decided not to say anything. After a second, she felt that there was more space between her and her body, where Sofia was now. She decided to push forward and both princesses landed face first in the clearing.
"Another insult," Sofia grumbled, "this is the second worst day of my life after marrying you yesterday," she turned to Valentine.
"Amazing," Valentine said, "you've been in my body for a couple of hours and you've soiled it like you grew up with pigs," then saw her face turn red. She'd never seen her own face turn red, but she was glad the comment hit the mark.
Sofia shouted back "It's the shapeless and clumsy mass you call your body. Give me back my body!" then she turned to the crystal "Can you disenchant us?"
Her scream floated in the air for a moment. "I'm sorry," replied the voice, "I don't have that much power anymore. In a moment, the crystal will melt and I will cease to exist, but if you put your hand into the water, you will be endowed with all my power. You will be able to easily reverse what has happened. Your power will increase later and not you will be second to none in the universe."
The princesses were stunned. It was hard for them to believe what they were hearing, but considering their adventures today, nothing was impossible.
"Since we can't help you, why don't we at least pass on the news of your death to your loved ones?" suggested Valentine.
"You are very kind, but there is no one to pass on to. I am and have always been the only being of my kind. When I die, another will be born in my place. I do not know who was before me and who will be after me. I just hope that he will use your powers better than I did."
"What do you mean?" asked Sofia "What powers are you talking about?"
"Infinite" said the voice "I have the ability to travel between worlds, manipulate matter, minds" he paused for a moment. "Too long to name, just infinite"
"Then why are you in the crystal?" asked Valentine
"Once upon a time there was a man in this world who asked me for help in restoring peace. At that time, the war had been here for over hundreds of years and the world was on the brink of biological destruction. But he was sneaky and blocked his mind from me. I was naive then and believed in his good intentions, but he used it to use my power to slay millions of people who were not his subjects." he stopped, it seemed like he was going to cry, but continued after a while. "Now I understand his ruse and his use of it to build a prison for myself and repent."
The princesses looked at the crystal with both horror and pity. When suddenly the crystal started to melt and they heard a sigh "Thank you. Goodbye."
In the blink of an eye, the crystal was gone, and at the top of the fountain, water splashed in a small basin. The princesses looked at each other and both took off to her to dip their hand in. When out of the corner of their eye they saw that both had started running, they suddenly veered towards each other and collided head-on.
Without losing reason, Sofia said "You stay here and I'll break the spell and put things in order"
"I don't believe you" replied Valentine "I will do it and you wait"
The princesses were staring into each other's eyes ominously, it was more difficult because their own face was looking at her. Their breasts were pressed together, and the mud from them splashed to the sides. Hands clasped between each other and fingers interlocked tightly. They both tried to push their wife away and take a few steps forward towards the fountain.
Slowly but surely forward, they reached the fountain. They both held their hands and clenched their fingers very tightly. They looked at each other, then the water was waiting for someone to get wet in it and gain powers. Suddenly both girls smiled at each other, they had the same idea.
They lowered their heads to the fountain and began to drink water from it. When they saw her partner doing the same, they let go of their hands and started drinking even faster, banishing disgust from their minds. As they drank the last drops, their lips met and they both tried to suck in as much water as they could.
When it was over, they did not take their lips apart, but tried to get as much water out of the rival's mouth as possible. When they realized after a while that nothing more could be pulled out, they pushed away from each other.
"May this not be some kind of joke," Sofia threatened, "Because for these insults, I will burn your whole kingdom in front of your eyes"
"I hope it's not your joke," replied Valentine "Because your body is gross and stinks, I can't imagine living like this"
The princesses suddenly belched. A blush appeared on both faces, and then they both looked at each other ominously.
"I want to be back in my own body." they said together.
After a moment, an invisible force pushed them towards each other and they collided again. They were disoriented and felt the perspective from which they look at the world change again. They held each other's hips in an embrace and finally looked not at each other's face but at the face of their rival. They both smiled.
"At last," said Valentine with relief, from her lips, "let's go back."
"That's the first smart thing I've heard from you," Sofia replied
They turned in the direction they had come from, step by step embracing each other's hips. They were tired, dirty and hungry, but certainly happy to be back. However, entering the trees, they were trapped again, pressed up against each other, unable to move forward or backward.
"Great," said Sofia, "I see you've taken the initiative to get in my way today."
Valentine didn't answer, but thought about how to torment her wife for it. She quickly came up with the idea that she could get rid of her once and for all.
"I want to absorb your body into mine," said Valentine
Taken aback by the sudden statement of an enemy, Sofia begins to feel her gown unravel as she is pressed against Valentine's body. They don't have a moment to lose she says quickly what she heard "I want to absorb your body into mine"
At that moment, Valentine made a shocked face, and her gown began to tear. As her body succumbed with every moment, she rushed towards the castle. Sofia, of course, was running side by side with her. Although they had no arms between them, only one common arm, rising from their shoulders and ending in two hands.
On another trip, they noticed with horror that Valentine's right foot and Sofia's left foot had lost their slippers, but the worst part was that it was one foot with two big toes on either side. Without saying a word, they got up and began to run evenly on.
The hands growing from the joint arm quickly disappeared, leaving the stump in its place. Where their hips touched in motion, there was no longer a line between their bodies. The foot got smaller with each step and the princesses fell once more into the mud, unable to keep their balance.
"I wish the dirt would go away." said Sofia, and after a while she felt sweat, dust and mud running down her body. She looked ahead and saw an exit from the forest. "Quick this way," she said.
The partners managed to get up leaning against each other. There was no longer an arm between them, and one arm was pressed into the other. Their hips now had three buttock, but only a little thigh protruding from the middle one. They walked, jumping to the rival's side in turns.
While at the edge of the forest, Valentine noticed that there was not a single piece of clothing on them. After all, she can't show herself naked to the world and quickly said "I wish I had a gown on" and then the wind swirled around them. Coming out of the forest, they fell to their knees on the grass, breathing deeply.
They stared at each other, then looked at each other's bodies. They were now wives as close as no other had ever been. Rivals who can't hide anything from each other. And partners in happiness and horror that happened to them. Their heads were perched on broad shoulders, under which were magnificent breasts that none of them had before. Their waists, hips and legs were covered in a beautiful blue-green gown, but they felt that they too were different than before.
"It's over for you," said Valentine, wrapping her hand around the waist on Sofia's side "You are coming with me to my father's presence. You will surely be put to death for your insults." Then she started to get up.
Sofia also hugged Valentine's side of the deck. "Since it was you who uttered the spell to get rid of me, we go to my father to sentence you to death for treason."
The princesses started to go to the castle together, holding the other side and making sure that her assassin didn't escape.
