Jake, thanks for your extensive feedback. I can see, when compared to other submissions, and your examples, that really my attempt at modal mixture wasn't quite there. I got an idea and just rolled with it. So yes I may have strayed away from the prompt. I think for the next assignment, I'm going simpler and sticking closely to what's asked for. And thanks for the drum software recommendation.

Also, I agree about the electric guitar part being incongruent; I was at the mercy of a 7 year-old creative director...that said, he has requested the lullaby each night since I made it, so I'll score that as a hit with my audience of 1.

You may appreciate this... you say you heard the A section as F#, I honestly didn't - but after submitting I absolutely started to hear F# as 'home' when it comes back to the main progression from the D - B detour. I was really pleased with how that sounded, then I started wondering why it felt so satisfying, when it hit me! That sounds like home! Great notes, thanks again.
