#2: Jake, I would like your take on creating our own signature piece like Magic Sam's Boogie or Roy Clark's Guitar Boogie. Having a 2 minute "this is me, this is my style" piece can be a great introduction to other musicians. Thanks for all your help!

Hey Jake. I have two simple questions: 1. I have finally decided to learn CAGED system deeply. It's easy to work on C and A shaped arpeggios and their respective pentatonic & major scales, however moving the G shape down the neck with a barre is painful and nearly impractical. Is it okay if, for the time being, I skip the G chord and instead move to its arpeggios and major scales and then follow it with E and D shapes? 2. Secondly, I want to know that if someone just asks me to play "something" on the guitar, clearly playing chords is quite boring. How would you suggest one should go about "performing" something for someone when a situation like this arises? What are some of the potential things that I can learn for cases like these?

I'm curious if you would comment on an old track I did, time permitting. It was done in FL Studio in 2017 with only virtual instruments. There is a breakdown at 2:30 which I've always liked. It's 5 minutes long so feel free to just grab a section and maybe explain what is good and what isn't so good. (Melody, rhythm, mixing, instrument choices, etc.) I can take it. Thanks so much! https://soundcloud.com/jyelton/out-at-nine
