Added 2018-10-25 02:49:06 +0000 UTCOkay I went off the deep end and made this as the intro, but I've decided for several reasons not to use it, at least in full. Partly in terror of the copyright bots (even tho the audio is all me) but also cause it's a slow intro and i MIGHT be able to shoe-horn in a part of this in the middle of the video. This cracked me up so much though, I didn't want to cast away the idea, so I made what I think is a better intro that uses this same technique. It is faster paced, and still really ridiculous.
The video will be about the part right before the solo in Stairway to Heaven. I tried many a times to write it out the rhythms as a beginning instructor and failed miserably every time. Later on I pieced it together two different ways, using odd times or 4/4, and then began to notice how hilariously often bands just cobble that little part together. It might be one of the most misplayed pieces of music.
This video is a "deep dive" thing, I haven't done one in a long time. I'm currently editing, and have MOST of the extra elements done- a song about syncopation, a full band cover of the section, the main narration and film shots... I still have to make a few more musical elements and voice over bits and then there is still a lot of editing to do. But with good fortune, I'll have it done by Friday. Hope you get a giggle outta this.
