Random Chord Generator in G

I put forth some simple rules for writing easy chord progressions in major during this video

https://youtu.be/M8eItITv8QA

I made this little "program" will play all of the possibilities for you in G.

About 3 years ago I started to teach myself to write code. I learned the fundamentals and had a little experience in C# and VB, but never pursued it past a hobby and haven't touched it in a while. Scratch was developed by MIT to aide in teaching programming to students, and it's a very easy way to dive into the concept.

In a future video I will be talking about abstraction - performing the task you need, using a simple interfact, without needing to know the underlying mechanics. This is how I learned programming, and it's a good approach to writing music as well. You don't have to know the details to get stuff working well. It certainly helps, but you can use the idea of abstraction to your advantage.

I'll mention this little program and link to it and hopefully it looks a little nicer by then but you guys can check it out now and see how it changes by the time the video posts.

Thanks and have fun with it! The first time I clicked Play on it, I got the classic I-V-vi-IV. Jackpot!
