A Blank Canvas - Neutral Jam from the "Meet the Modes" video
Added 2018-04-01 23:29:12 +0000 UTCI recently made a video demonstrating the modes over a jam track. I've extended the loop to 7 minutes for your modal mischief.
This is an EXTREMELY BORING track. It is up to YOU to make it exciting by playing around with different scales. Keep in mind, there are many scales outside of the major modes that will still work over a track like this. Any scale with a root and a 5th will work (that's a lot of scales).
Try putting together a "story" of modal changes- start with G minor, creep into G Harmonic Minor. Then brighten things up with G Lydian. Maybe get funky with some G dorian afterwards, and completely lose your sanity with G Wholetone.
So many options! It should be a good challenge and will give you total freedom to switch between parallel keys.
