As another bachelor content with singleness, I get what you're saying. I understood that line, not as the end goal but a means to an end. As he stated, historically speaking singleness is an oddity and we're wired for relationships. I think Alex meant that we should be ok with the "dullness" of stability so that in a healthy relationship we can be content with the stability of monogamy.
