An update about the next comic

So, I've got some good news and I've got some bad news.

Bad news first. I know a lot of people, including me :), were looking forward to a  release of the next CORE soon, within September. Unfortunately, while the comic is nearly done, due to my real life situation, I'll be forced to move it from the end of September to the end of October.

It sucks, and I really wanted to release it soon, but as hard as I'm working on it, I'll have a 3-4 week window where I can't work on it at all, and it would be unfair to say I'll release it in September when its just not feasible. Tabico herself also has a busy schedule and is trying to write and edit her script as much as possible, but still this kind of leaves us in a bind.

Ok, enough doom and gloom, here's some good news! Since CORE will be delayed for...a month, this week (maybe tomorrow even!) I'll be releasing a short comic that will hopefully tide you all over.

For you all on Patreon, I'm not charging for this little comic obviously, but since you're all special and such :p, you will get it a little earlier than DeviantArt :).

So yes, that's a bit of a sad update, and I wish I could change things but real life is real life.

So stay tuned soon for a little...somethin' somethin' that I *think* might be a little bit of a surprise.

*nods* I think that slow drip is good for engagement for sure, *but* the issue is scheduling. Since Tabico tends to write in big blocks and I render in big blocks its sorta naturally falls together, *so* I would have to slow down my output vs. hers (since I can't render without a script).

Delays are fine - the thing you have to watch out for is being too optimistic about how soon things will pick up after the known delay factor is over. Sometimes a break will mean you can't get back into working on a project until a little later, and the thing people react badly to is a delayed date being pushed back yet again. Personally, I still think you should create an issue and then release it in 3-4 page installments over a longer period, s that while doing that you could be creating the next issue with Tabs and the result could be (in theory) lots of constant activity that would bring in more views and Patrons.

I'm always amazed that this is something you and Tabico do simply for the joy of it. Thanks for the update and am looking forward to the 'little suprise'.
