Pia& the Little Tiny Things p.288

Lillian's words and encouragements on creativity makes me want to create a whole other series of comics where it's just Lillian answering readers' questions on creativity and art, and how she views it all and manages it.

Roomie is still such a puppy 😅 Which is fitting, since Lilian is such a cat.

Fxd Gear Queer

I missed LT and Roomie so dang MUCH I love them 💜💜💜

AlterKitten

Very interesting and insightful thoughts about creativity. :)

Yajoovya

LT knows what she's talking about ^^

Arianod

I was talking with my therapist nearly 40 years ago and when she asked about how it felt when I was writing I told her that finishing felt like when I had a really big BM. That I had all this stuff building up inside and finally got it out. Not that I was writing shit but that I had stuff that was building up and I finally got rid of it.

Opus the Poet

Sneaky little goblin.

Tenebrous Trahern

Glad that Pia's injured hand isn't her creative one ☺️

Otaku Twenty-Four Seven

An LT Q&A strip about creating would be inspiring. Of course if you just answered the questions yourself that would be just as good and likely less work for you.

Faith and Valor

I do the same thing when I write. All my characters are different in many ways but each still has some aspect attached to my core. My favorite part is when one of my characters decides to do something I didn't expect and it changes the story. (It can also be frustrating as it may mess up an arc I was going for)

Starspangledkiwi

stop being a stranger Roomie I'd tell you to stop being strange, but then you wouldn't be you

darklion

For Clover to have characters which were absolutely dissimilar to how she views and does things would involving drawing from a different wellsprings entirely and someone else may as well be writing the comic, methinks.

Pete White

There's probably scientific studies somewhere which address the issue, lots of them and they are probably all......inconclusive or, my fav, contradictory. And it might be a case of attention to the squeaky wheel, so to speak: "oh look, they're creative in the (following field of endeavor) they are left-handed". Said while ignoring all the right-handed creatives.

Pete White

It's not so bad. I talk to myself all the time. LOL At least you're guaranteed interesting conversation that way.

Chris Miller

Depends! All my characters (especially my main characters) have similarities with how I view things or do things. But they're also all different or else it'd be just me talking with myself haha (which, admittedly, is sort of what's happening... different parts of myself express themselves, in a way :))

clover

As far as I'm aware, handedness plays no role.

Chris Miller

And I suppose Pia wouldn't at ALL be a stand-in for you explaining how you do things? <3

Chris Miller

Lol!!! Roomie!!!!

Sparkax

i would genuinely find lilian answering questions on creativity and art super illuminating!

Millie

Shes waiting patiently for her entrance lol

Oortbox

But let's get back to the important topic, Roomie.

Spencer Davis

Pia is a leftie. Not sure if I noticed that before, being somewhat inattentive at times. Seems like a lot of creative types are but that may be an overgeneralization.
