ariana is actually one of sabrina's main idols and inspirations ! sabrina is such a huge fan of ariana that ari took her on tour to open two of her shows :)

I found that while I enjoyed this song the first time I listened to it, my feelings about it increased after finishing the album, and a couple more listens.
I heard in an interview she was hesitant to put Nonsense on the album because of how happy and upbeat it was compared to the rest. (there’s also another lyric in a later song that references wondering if anyone would sing along if she just wrote happy songs, and I think it’s at least partially referring to this song.)
I liked that she was just having fun with it, especially with such heavy hitters on the album.
