Added 2021-05-31 05:11:11 +0000 UTCThis is one of my historical stories and is one that has always interested me ever since I read about the Abbe de Choisy and the Chevalier d'Eon at about the same time (a book by Havelock Ellis I think). I have no doubt that these memoirs are the work of a transwoman and the people referred to in them are real but the note raises the possibility that there is fabrication here. Anyway, my words certainly are!

Some time ago I read online that one of Henry VIII’s wives was rumored to have been intersex or raised as a female. You might investigate that or, better yet, do some myth-making of your own. Of course, these cameos are fascinating, Maryanne.
