Anniversary! 'Tales of Zale - Flickering Lights', lost 2017 version

And happy birthday to myself, I made it very easy to remember the date, that's for sure!
Now, I've lost a bit track of how much of previous versions of Flickering Lights I've shared with you, but as far as I recall, I haven't shared a full old episode version before. As some of you know, this project started all the way back in 2016, right after the release of episode 2, and went through many different iterations.
This one is from November 2017, and it was right around the time when the project was losing steam. I do have a few later versions too, but I was starting to write myself more and more into a corner. This is probably the best of those old versions, so I think it's the easiest to share. But let me know if you are curious to see other versions at a later point.
This project has really been a springboard for my own creative development in so many regards. I think it's evident going from previous episodes to Flickering lights that there was a pretty major jump, but it may be interesting for some of you to see the transitional stage. Hope you enjoy!

I was of course trying to make episode 3 bigger and better already back then, but at the same time I also felt really constrained by rushing a direct follow-up to the previous episodes. I wasn't allowing myself to grow, so I had to take a bit of a detour to get there. But you know the spiel by now hahah

2023-09-12 21:55:05 +0000 UTCWow. I know I'd have still loved 2016 ToZ if it had continued as is, and that a lot of the ideas and scenes were mostly kept the same in the 2022 version; but the difference between '2016 Sif' and '2022-23 Sif' is like night and day!
