2021-12-15 18:51:52 +0000 UTCHow was Ben able to hatch a dragon? He isn’t a Valyrian and doesn’t have the system like Petyr so just confused how he would even be able hatch one and control one. Additionally why give a dragon to Ben, the sensible option would be to keep the egg for any children has of his own and keep the dragons in the family so that his descendants don’t face any competitor dragons if Bens descendants ever split and turn from allies something that happens fairly easily in reality. I hope you haven’t made Ashara bear rhaegars child to gain another dragon rider in case Petyr hatches more dragons? Not trying to be critical btw just confused mainly about the plot hole of Ben actually being able to hatch a dragon when even the pure blooded Targaryens couldn’t until Daenerys.

I guess most of my ill feelings due to a personal dislike of Rhaegar. You definitely need to expand of Rhaegar and Asharas relationship to justify the existence of a bastard Targaryen or else it’s going to feel like a drama device and shitty plot mechanism. Tentatively waiting for the next chapter.

What happened before they were engaged is not a problem, and no child should be killed due to their parents. Though that is probably more modern mentally than Westeros mentally. Also with magic in the world again having an adopted son with a strong magical lineage is an advantage.
