Subtlety of form - September Rewards sample

This month I will be exploring a concept that is not too common to see: blurriness and out of focus. We are more than used to see pictures that have everything in focus and with crisp detail. Very few artists apply some kind of blur to their images, seeking composition.
In my personal experience its a concept that I always enjoy when I see it in others, but never get to try it myself. Its honestly difficult to just blur out certain parts of the picture, since many times we think that EVERYTHING is important, or AS important as the main subject.
What I want to achieve with this month's rewards is a better understanding of the out of focus power; how it can tell a story or even keep us interested in the what is it .
Blurriness has a lot of power in itself. Done correctly can really add to an image by, instead of subtracting, adding to the mystery! It is a concept that works the other way around: when you "delete" or "reduce" the picture, it accentuates another elements, that are often OUT of the frame, but are yet felt by the viewer .
So this drawings will have a more PIN-UP style to them, can be lewd, NSFW, sfw, have an accessory or anything else, but keep in mind that I will blur out several parts of the pic :P

Mars the Fandox is tall, so something that would work is having him in the shower but his head is above the steamed up glass. But maybe have his hands and other sections of his body that press up against the glass while anything that doesn’t touch is blurred behind the steamed up glass.

How about a SFW piece of Skyler reading a book at a cafe or a party, with a shapeless blurry crowd in the background. Could add a blurred coffee cup to contrast with an in-focus book.
