Hello Patrons! This month's rewards are ready, and full of melting fun treats for you!
This time I wanted to play with the concept of color VS line, but wanting to keep the strength of line above that of color.
In my work, you may notice that the colors are usually what sustains the picture and its figures. Its easy for the color to grab all the attention, and leave the line away from the interest, and in a way, just remove it from the process at all. But this is not as good as it may seem all the time.
I wanted with this little experiments to then find a way to add color, without removing any kind of importance to the line, yet having enough color to give the information to the viewer of the figure's hues.
Also took the opportunity to practice some freeline sketching, where I draw the figures without making a lot of previous construction or base sketching, but rather jump directly into the outlines; letting my experience and feels to do the job.
I guess thats the best way to create a drawing that doesnt look too mechanical or boring, and rather more human (furry) and organic.
But thanks to everyone that participated this month! Its always a great treat to have you all here to play with and improve in my art!
