Flood Update from last week
Added 2023-04-18 19:29:54 +0000 UTCSo this was from Thursday...last week managed to get 2 episodes recorded in cars to stay on schedule. This week I am also recording in car, hoping to test out our main equipment this weekend and go from there.
In the video I talk alot about "levels" which is a bit different than volume but kind of similar, if the levels that get recorded are too high then the audio will distort and could sound crunchy, if they are too low or the mic is too far from my mouth the audio could sound hollow or distant or have an extra background noise or fuzz.
Using the auto level on there has worked but as I said in the video using any baked in feature like that is risky.
But cool thing is this also shows how flexible recording the show can be when you need to roll with unexpected circumstances.

I am late to this piece of news...but so glad to see you are overcoming this. Another option, if you still need one, may be finding a co-working space with a video/podcast booth or even a production suite, all of which are sound proof and have space for equipment. Some co working spaces have a pay as you go plan, with daily rates, so you can remain flexible. Not sure where you are but might be worth while checking to have a Plan B in case of future emergency.
