Making art for the show - part of the process
Added 2020-06-10 20:48:10 +0000 UTCSo above is the final art for our new series Otter Things. Creating the art is a part of a process where I collaborate with my brother Ken. I give him some ideas and then we kind of go back and forth clarifying and refining things, he does most of the work.
This was the first sketch Ken sent me>
This was really close to my notes and well built off of the poster it pays tribute to. There are the main players>
Then there was ideas of the four quadrants in the background...
Top left would be music and windchimes which both play a big part in our series.
Bottom left is the tunnel to the place beyond the swamp..top right and left...I think the night sky and then the normal swamp...all bisceted by "the road".
One other small change was "no bat" in Dari/Nancy's hand..let's change it to something more swampy.
And then it is just some heavy lifting on Ken's part to reach the final stage!!! It almost feels like the lights on the bikes really glow!
