The Superhero Theme

This is one of those videos that's been rummaging around in the back of my head for at least a few years.

In preparation for this video I became current in the marvel universe.
Meaning that I had to watch:

Iron Man 3
Avengers Age of Ultron
Thor 2
Ant-Man
Civil War
Dr. Strange

On top of that, I saw Supermans, 2, 3, and 4; just to check and see if there were any funky techniques or new thematic material that they threw in.

As well as all of the Batmans, so:
Batman
Batman Returns
Batman Forever
Batman and Robin

I also watched all of the Spidermans:
Spiderman
Spiderman 2
Spiderman 3
The Amazing Spiderman
The Amazing Spiderman 2
Spiderman: Homecoming

That opening to Homecoming was really something special, I hope some of the other Marvel folks kinda catch on.

I know I wasn't exactly able to cover all of the Superhero universe.

Like, I didn't cover Wonder Woman, which upset a lot of people, but stay tuned because I think my next video is going to cover it.
And I didn't really talk about the Dark Knight trilogy or Man of Steel or Batman v Superman.
And I also didn't cover anything from the X-men series.
Even though they are almost all group films, I've heard that in X-men: First Class some of the characters have modified versions of Prof. X or Magneto's theme as a means of conveying which team they are on before all of the characters actually split up.
But I'll have to check that out.
Either way, it feels more like thematic transformation rather than musically expressing what a hero represents.
But I felt like I had enough examples in the film, so I let it slide.

All in all I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Can't wait for the next one.
