i usually agree with noel but he is totally wrong about that ski mask shit, like yeah its a little strange the first time you hear it but it is great for what it is and still BARS plus JID is really feeling it and his energy brings it together. also it was supposed to be a call back to X's cypher where he did the same which is pretty touching given their relationship

And that’s like damaged her vocal chords now over the years so it’s probably hard for her to sing any other way at this point. And yeah, maybe her mental illness got bad enough at some point to warrant conservatorship but the dad’s definitely made it worse for her. I read that they either did or wanted to make her take more medications than what she actually needed for her illnesses. Obviously, if you take meds w/o them treating anything it’ll end up having a negative effect. So i read that likely led to some of her worsening mental health and made her seem even more unstable even tho part of it was literally their fault. Apparently when she tried refusing the extra meds (the ones she didn’t actually need) but they spun it to seem like “omg she’s off her medications 😖😖” and got her sent to a mental hospital for a little while.

BUT the reason she sings like that is because her real voice is actually comparable to Christina Aguilera’s voice and at the time her managers were like noooo we don’t need two Christina aguileras so they had her sing like that - and basically if she does anything at all it has to be approved by her father, including simply leaving her house, spending any money, etc. (basic human things) and it has been this way since 2008 when she shaved her head and had a breakdown- the type of control her father has over her is called a conservatorship and is for people with extreme mental illnesses and people who can’t make decisions for themselves- so if she is that sick, why has she produced 4 albums since it started ? And she is working and making all this money that she has no access to- if it’s all true it’s fucking crazy
