ugh i’m a hearing and speech major and we’ve watched those videos that the ENT takes and i can only imagine the discomfort at least for me 🥴 and i have to get my covid test on monday so i can go back to campus but idk which kind of test they’re doing 🤭 i rly hope it’s not the one that goes all the way back

i feel noel’s pain, i had to go to an ENT when i was 16 because my left ear has been fucked up since i was like 13 (we love medically neglectful parents) and they had to stick the camera down my nose! but the numbing helped a lot, it was still easier for me than a simple strep throat swab, the nurses still have to fuckin hold me down for those and i’m 20 😂😂 but noel does have a weak ass nose game, i got the pcr test today because i just got back on my campus for the fall semester and all they do is just wipe the insides of your nostrils! like the woman who did the test took like five seconds and i barely felt it, either i had a good experience or i just have that strong nose game

Not to overshare or anything, but we lost my father in January for something completely unrelated to covid. He was on a ventilator for about 18 hours and it was fucking BRUTAL. His prognosis was very very poor, and we knew he was very against him being on life support if there was no hope of recovery, so the decision was simple, but FAR from easy. All that to say, I have no idea how that girl and her family made it through 105 fucking days of being on a ventilator. Our family emotionally barely made it through a day of watching that unfold. It is so brutal and unnatural I can't even describe it. Very very happy to hear she recovered, it's something I wish on no one
