Bonus Ep 35 - Justice is Served

Basically was like a three day camp that this campsite used to run until it obviously got banned. Camp Joy I believe?

Meredith

I live in ohio and we had the slavery simulation. A friend of mine went and not just the black kids but ALL the kids were "slaves" and were being called the n word and shit by their TEACHERS. So fucking weird.

Meredith

The slavery field trip sounds like the prison psychology experiment

Zakk Ross

They predicted Penuma. Genius.

Gotzie B

So Cody and Noel Do: Jeep Weekend?

Miriam Owusu

2 minutes in, codys throat singing was fucking lit

Erva Ergül

One of my friends had a teacher who was teaching the Teenagers about Hitler and he did a roleplay by segregating every minority (i.e saying black people here , jews here and gays go over there)

I'm from the area where that Jenny Jones case happened and that lawyer involved always acts like that, it's so annoying to see his commercials all the time lol

I’m from Houston and we never went on a field trip like that, maybe it was just my school that didn’t do it but I don’t doubt a lot of southern schools did that

Charles

CODY WHERE IS THIS SHIRT FROM

Hunter Collier

this ep reminded me of a time when my class in fayetteville, nc (i was in 1st or 2nd grade) took a trip to a cotton plantation. i didnt think anything of it at the time but researching now, it was a slave plantation. its fucking disgusting and my school was majority black/non-white kids man.

Apryl Salomaa

My friend told me about how her high school used to do Civil War re-enactments in history classes and they would choose people to be generals, soilders, slaves, etc. and the teachers would purposefully put black people in slave roles. This was in LANSING, MICHIGAN. I couldn’t believe it when she told me about this blatant act of racism that nobody commented on until recently. It’s scary to think that this really is happening everywhere, not just in the south or in more conservative places.

Lizzie Volante

Also because you guys were talking about re-enacting the Mayflower stuff - there’s this show that came out at least 10 years ago called Kid Nation where a bunch of kids were left alone with no adults to basically run a little city in the desert. When I watched it as a kid I always thought it was fake but me and my roommate watched a few episodes together a few months ago and realized how messed up it really was. If I remember correctly they were alone for a couple months, and the kids ranged from like 6 years old to 15/16. It got cancelled after 1 season because of how traumatizing it was for some of the kids. They had no parents with them, had to do everything themselves, deal with tornados and fires, run their own economy, etc. and it’s just crazy to me that that show was ever aired.

I’m from CT and when I lived in a super white suburban town I went on a camping field trip when I was like 11/12 where they made people play an underground railroad game. I don’t remember much about the game just the explanation so I think I had chosen to do some other activity, but it was just super weird that they treated it as a game and never taught us anything about actual slavery or black history. I’m half black and honestly thought the underground railroad was a train until like late middle school/early high school because of how little they taught us about black history. In high school a teacher in my school was fired for talking about slaves and referring to the only 2 black kids in her class as being the slaves in the example. Absolutely wild.

I’m from CT too and we did something similar when I was like 11, but it wasn’t in NY it was at a place in CT. I wonder if it’s the same field trip since they have different locations in both states? Were the initials of the place NC?

This podcast needs to have more dick jokes again like at the end. I know it’s important to talk about pressing topics, but a lot of us come here to get away from the crazy shit happening in the world and it sucks that I can’t even take a mental break from it here. All love guys I’m just really heartbroken about the country

When I was in middle school (I'm from CT) they took us out to the woods in upstate New York on a field trip. At like 11pm they made us reenact the underground railroad and split half the class up into runaway slaves and confederates. If you were a runaway slave you had to run around the trail and try to stay away from flashlights and we weren't allowed to make any noise or we'd get screamed at. It was super intense.

Cody looking pristine with that camera quality. Love you both!

Ashley Morales

Noel look up RTX voice right now my guy

kinda what the whole podcast is about hannah. A lot of goofin around and jokes

Y’all are so dumb sometimes, I feel insulted for having to pay for this subscription.

Does Noel think Vermont is in the South?

ItsLeet

If you want to see more confederate flags and Trump flags than you'd ever like to see and redneck boobs, Jeep weekend on Crystal Beach is the place to go.

Maybe it was a joke 🤔 idk lol

Lmao our boi Noel, “southern states...like Vermont”. 🤣🤣

Sloan Steady

we had the slave reenactment shit, a place called Conner Prairie

You guys should check out that show where they supposedly made kids live in this weird dessert town alone with out the help of adults lol it’s called kid nation

Also JET SET RADIIOOOOOO

Black history isn’t told enough in schools. Harriet Tubman got hit in the face with a two pound weight and would suffer from seizures and pass out constantly. She would pass out while running slaves on the Underground Railroad and they would have to wait until she got back up and she would just go.

hi

Yo if you don't know arm wrestling you gotta watch Devon Larratt highlights. The man is the Michael Jordan of armwrestling he's truly insane. He is also superman

Dylan Ross

My school did and still does the boat thing. It made me laugh cause I could relate to it so well. They told us you guys don't get to brush your teeth because they wouldn't. I was a fifth-grader and thought it was bullshit.

Parker Keskinen

Cooped up where it at

David Scalia

Bring back the vlogs please

Eric Shea

Bet y’all won’t go to Jeep Weekend

I was taught that the black panthers were this radical group of violent black men who ended up hurting the black rights movement. Minnesota whack

For anyone interested, especially Noel, if you're looking for a quick dive into the troublesome nature of Cops and Live PD, check out this podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/4fhkBveQz80Bb3X5A6FB0Q

Does anyone else's vimeo suck on mobile? I wish they just did it on YouTube and kept the video private

Chewy

imagine playing tiny meat gang through your dick

My school did the whole slavery re-enactment thing. Im from GA and its pretty rough here. We literally had people be slave masters and we had people being slaves. This was in 5th grade.

Hunter

They bought Nanoscopic Tier and one of the perks is "Print out a picture of your face and frame it on set". Since they aren't together-together I assume that they have to result to a digital image.

What the fuck is the little square w the dude bottom left

Omg when I was in 5th grade we went on this school trip to this place called natures classroom and one of the nights they made us do an Underground Railroad experience and we had to go from safe house to safe house while the staff of the camp was looking for us. And we were all terrified and crying and they were telling us to be quiet or we would be found. The whole rest of the trip was like nature walks and like singing songs and shit.

I really though you were joking at first bc I had no idea about this omfg LMFAOOOOOO

What do I have to do to get Cody, Noel and the Nelk boys to crystal beach for topless/jeep weekend because that video is gonna be wild and it’s only an hour and a half drive no way I’m missing that

Also I know a bunch of people who had to go and stay on that pilgrim ship for two nights in 4th grade. That ship just sank a couple weeks ago too. Shits crazy

In 5th grade my class went on a field trip to Riley’s Farm and we dressed up in revolutionary war outfits and being a girl I learned how to knit stuff and make baskets. But then there was a war reenactment and it was cool at the time but looking back it was so weird. The place was a 3 hour drive from my school in California.

Live PD is half the reason I want to move to Montana. Not even joking, all of the police calls there are like.. getting a bear out of someone's yard, or "oh jeez ol' Dolores is stuck on the side of the road again" the place seems like a fucking crime-free utopia on that show in contrast to every other city they film in

Josef Bud.

oh holy shit this unlocked a memory i didn't even know i had. i went to elementary school in missouri and they brought in some cotton plants and had us pick the cotton off of them and sing the fuckin work songs. if we turned in the cotton without getting all of it off the plant, we lost five minutes off recess. y'know, to prove to us small kids that slavery was cruel.

jazzcabbage

Jesus dude, that's fucking crazy

I grew up in South Carolina, took at least 3 field trips to plantations. I remember Boonhall the most. We got fake Confederate dollar bills, and they loaded up some old muskets and shot them, we toured some of the inside of the masters home, and basically had free range to play outside for a while. I was in 1st or 2nd grade, I remember climbing around on these short cement walls, most of them were eroding. But there was a bunch of these maybe 10 ft by 10 ft square plots of land with little walls bordering them. There was a team of archeologists setting up some type of string grid on top of one of them, I asked what they were doing and they told me they were going to be excavating graves essentially. The squares were where they buried slaves once they died. They were mass grave sites, and all over. Me and plenty of other students were playing in them for hours, had no idea what they were, and noone even stopped us.

My boyfriend grew up in Houston and would’ve been in elementary in the mid 90s. They took field trips out to just pick cotton as well. When he told me I thought it was the craziest thing, I’m surprised it happened elsewhere.

When I was in the 5th grade my teacher trashed and graffiti'd his own classroom and acted like it had been broken into to teach us all how the colonists felt before the Revolutionary War

Mary

I started watching a podcast called Rotten Mango, which is a true crime podcast (started from the channel Stephanie Soo who does mukbangs while talking primarily about true crime- sometimes thriller or horror movies, urban legends, creepy pastas, etc). They just started it, so there's only one episode out, but it's so dark. She talks about 13th on her main channel, but she also talks about two other stories one involving a missing black girl (and she goes into the problems of adultification and how that was a huge factor in all of it, especially when people look at BIPOC) and the other involving a wrongful conviction where the guy on the case would persuade witnesses to say a certain answer or conveniently pick a certain guy at a line up just so he could close the case. They were trying to find this guy who assaulted this women and they didn't catch this guy until about a decade later. The only thing is that they caught the wrong guy, but this lawyer just didn't give a shit. The guy and the victim found out later they actually knew each other back in high school, but they would show each other out-dated pictures of each other. The victim didn't find out until the guy was already serving some time. By the way, the ad revenue in those videos are being donated to BLM-related charities.

being a dem in florida is the worst feeling in the world

Edward Finan

Dude we had a slavery reenactment in my elementary school too. And I'm in California

I vividly remember the multiple conversations with my AP US History teacher in HS whenever we got to a portion on slavery just go to me like: “ok anytime you feel uncomfortable when we are reading just let me know and we’ll stop.” I could always feel just 15 pairs of eyes anytime we read about a ship or cotton fields like some sort of weird spotlight. But it was all worth it to look like I was smart in an AP class to girls and eventually get a 3 on the exam lmao

Spencer Neblett

In 5th grade we reenacted Ellis Island -- A little background, I was born in Venezuela and we moved to Texas. In Texas you can go to school in Spanish in elementary and I was in that program, so I spoke no English. All of the "immigration officers" were children from the English speaking classes so after about 30 minutes of waiting in line, dressed up in a shitty itchy costume, I was denied because I couldn't speak English, so I was put in a room call "deportation process" with a bunch of other kids that were put there for what ever reason and we had to watch a video about the people that got deported.

Yall have to check out r/wallstreetbets and the relatively new post about it basically bailing out the company Hertz, making it soar 825% in its stock price after an investor sold his stock for a 1.8 billion dollar loss, fucking hilarious lol

Highly immersive slavery sim

Scooter Braun loves getting into tea he even got into the call her daddy drama and barstool just laughed at him

casandra gonzalez

i once saw a video of a field trip where a class of black kids went to a cotton farm and picked cotton all day and then at the end the owners of the farm BOUGHT THE COTTON BACK FROM THE KIDS.

lmao yeah racism is completely normal in the south. the amount of times i’ve been told i’m “one of the good ones” and i “talk white” is staggering

In middle school my social studies teacher brought in cotton to pick and made us listen to “work songs” from that time. I hated every second of it because clearly no one wanted to do it and we had to do it for a grade.

Davis Fowler

Y’all need to watch that episode (s16 ep14) of svu law and order where Logan Paul is a rapist mad at female gamers

It’s worth every penny brother, I’ve been a patron for two years and I’ve rarely been disappointed

garret barber

Cops is not cancelled btw they are just taking a break to restructure the show as good shows do they are adapting

I wonder if they even read these comments

I miss Noel's hair

Iryna Kozhokaryu

Yo withstained is not even close to right its sustained

Cody pointing at his monitor with his finger and thinking that it would somehow tell noel which one to click on is the single-most boomer thing I’ve ever seen him do.

Yo I really wanna see the rest of the bob omalley video with your commentary but for some reason you uploaded the actual episode to yt first and I can’t watch the bone zone without finishing the first one. So now im stuck waiting for you to dole out that sweet sweet content to your paying customers

Waiting for the regular episode of this week so I can get all the call backs y’all do in the bone zone.

Tyler Tanaka

I just bought the $5 Patreon sub for the first time yesterday, and got an immediate 35 hours of extra free content on top of the normal podcast. Better content, many would argue. Probably the best spent $5 of my life, thank you gentlemen

Whats up guys happy to see you back
