Ditto on the suggestion to watch 13th on Netflix. Just Mercy and Marshall are two movies based on the criminal justice system targeting black men that I HIGHLY recommend right now as well.

David So (his podcast is Genius Brain) talked about the LA riots a few times because he lived through it so he shares it from a Korean-American perspective. He also has a film with his buddy Justin Chon, called Gook, which is kind of about that. Joe Jitsukawa from Justkiddingnews (who's friends with David) also talked about how the good cops get bullied and threatened, so not only are there many bad apples, the system enables these bad apples. Joe is Japanese-American but he used to be in a gang, so he's very familiar with all this not being anything new which is unfortunate that it's still happening. He's not justifying his gang life if it sounds that way lol, he's been around enough.
