my college dorms started housing covid patients/nurses bc we literally are stationed across the street from a hospital. which I don’t mind, but they ended up kicking out like all the international students/people who had nowhere else to go. not only that but all the student workers lose not only a place to stay to work, but they lose their income too. it’s crazy

For the corona-virus with the hot mic section here's the deal. The vaccine thing is a bit sus i'll admit. But the mortality thing is accurate but then it has to be put into perspective. 1% mortality is small out of a 100%, but what is that 100% number. The USA population, which is around 331-million people. That's 3 million fatalities. And its true its on par (give or take) with the common flu. But the issue is that corona's spread rate is FUCKING HIGH. Much higher than the flu. So when you have a lot of people getting sick all at once, that's why so many businesses are shut down and why things shouldn't re open yet (from a medical perspective).

Ik y’all know not to go too hard into conspiracy theories but I think y’all are right about security being at risk. The H3 podcast had on an epidemiologist who in part of the episode was vouching for putting an app/software on peoples phones that would track their location so in case they got infected they could trace whoever else was in the area at the time of transmission and get them into quarantine. Conspiracy I’ve seen says that China realized how bad Coronavirus was from the start, and they silenced info, lied to WHO, etc. to get it under control over there, and once it spread they would be the first to come out of situation, On top obviously. And that No one really realized how bad it was until Italy was hit. Most of the world is reliant on China, and now everyone will be even more reliant on them. Kind of plays in to the ‘Silk Road’ conspiracy.
