Sins of the Daughter

Obviously Quinn found her freedom. Her brother is a different story. We'll see him later in a future storyline. Quinn's character arcs tend to be longer, and more drawn out than say, Ellie's. I picture her life as a long and grueling trail or bad relationships, compounding on her over time to make her the way she is. She's a harder character to progress because bad experiences with other people are so well ingrained. I'm sure plenty of you have felt like this before, and perhaps feel even as if you're magnets for bad relationships. I've felt like that in the past. Quinn really wants positive relationships in her life, but unfortunately she's still being selective of who they're with.

I think in her case it was either stay with her mother and brother and slowly go insane or cut all ties and go her own way, that can't have been an easy choice either way.

Yeah it really does look fantastic. Pretty, but not overdone. The palm tree and pool remind me of a place I saw once when I lived in Miami when I was a kid.

Damn. I think the freaking world just fell on Quinn.

Rusche - Clarification question. Here Quinn says "Haven't seen TJ since I moved" but in <a href="http://shotgunshuffle.com/comic/static/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://shotgunshuffle.com/comic/static/</a> KK says "You still spend time with your brother."<br><br>Was Quinn lying to KK and getting TJ to lie to the general, or is she (and the general) counting phone/email/Facebook where she isn't seeing him physically to be spending time?

Would you say that Ellie is becoming one of those positive relationships, or are things still rocky between them?

What can Quinn do? Until TJ is of the proper age to decide where he wants to live outside of emancipation, legally speaking, the kid is kind of stuck in that limbo. Unfortunately, that also means that until Quinn's mother is found to be negligent in caring for TJ.. And that's a part of real life that no one would wish upon any child.

Such raw emotion with so few words. And the shot definitely multiplies the assumed understanding of what Quinn does know and only what she could imagine what TJ is going through.

Mr. Blue

Here's hoping Quinn never let's her mom forget or forgive her. A parent saying the child left the burden, especially one who brought everything on them self, just irks me :p

The scenery in this one is lovely. Seeing Quinn open up a bit is lovely too.

That last statement must have hit her like a semi-truck

Yeesh.....it is good she got out of there, but she should have tried to get her brother....I don't know what she could have done but.....just leaving him there and not connecting him....kid will be a little messed up. &gt;&lt;

This kinda makes her relationship with Pumpkin easier to understand. At least how she was unable to easily break it off with Pumpkin instead of just gut punching her right in the feels.

Looking at the shading in the grass, I can practically feel the sea breeze myself. Well done.

People are magnets for bad relationship thanks to a strange need to recreate traumas. We often seek out the same sorts of negative feelings we perceived from our earliest examples of relationships even though consciously we don't want it. If you find yourself doing this, then its always best to be wary of any person you immediately find extremely attractive. -Dime Store Psychiatrist

That silence at the end. I wonder if we will see tears from Quinn, given the heavy subject matter.
