I believe the Quinn <-> Pumpkin bit was supposed to be resolved before Danny placed the cameras just to keep a minor out of the vouyer site. So Quinn doesn't have the Beetle yet, this is her old car that Alex's friend Jeremy frequently fixed.

Hey Chris, excellent work on the backgrounds. It is great. I mean, it's like I'm out there taking that picture that this represents. The light reflected off of the vinyl ceiling on the drive through canopies, well, to quote Mr. Stephens. A+.

Couldn't it mean that Pumpkin may be forced to perform a hot reboot to a period before she met Kat? Teens do become overly attached to quick, too fast, etc. etc. It seems like she grew up overnight from child to adult from 0 - 25 in five panels, but the rocket sled jumped the rails thanks to the kat derailer social injustice kit. But then the question of the Buckingham infatuation comes into question. Would Pumpkin's infatuational OCD thing have come into effect so quickly with or without Kat. Furthermore, has Kat disrupted and corrupted Pumpkin to a different infatuation?

Damn son. In panel 4, you can practically feel Pumpkin's little heart breaking...and remember she's not yet 18 so she's gonna immediately turn things up to 11 on instinct. All teens do. Also, Quinn biting her lip in panel 3 tugs at me feels it does.

Maybe it's me, but I don't read that as "what's going on between us isn't going to be what you hope it's going to be" so much as "listen, I'm your friend and I'll listen to you if you need an ear, but I can't just be your best friend. Between the text and the subtext, there's a bazillion different ways for Rusche to take this, and he's continued to surprise me at every step, so none of you should get too cocky.

This is really for the best. It sucks that Pumpkin is losing someone she feels like she can communicate with and relate to BUT she IS getting way to clingy with Quinn and it's not healthy what's she has been doing (i.e. avoiding friends her own age, hiding her breasts because they're big and different, trying to scare off anyone Quinn might be interested in). At best, Pumpkin needs to give Quinn space and realize that she can't and won't be having any sort of more-than-friends relationship with her.
