Or, and this is just a *crazy* idea, you could go back to hanging out with the person who shared your interests, engaged you in conversation, and was conscious of your existence. I'm sorry Quinn, bad luck on your part here, but you can't separate a boy from his toys. An obsession tied to the profession of his dreams that he keeps trying even though he can't really support himself on it is enormously distracting and you just can't compete.<br><br>If you could keep your patience, you could make him feel guilty later and wring some kind of concessions (i.e. more dedicated alone time) from him for getting distracted this way. Trying to call him on it now will only lead to sadness. Or anger. Or more likely both.
