New Series: I am Anima
Added 2017-06-23 18:16:58 +0000 UTCOne of my dear art friends and travel companions, Sasha, briefed me on his time in this years Illustration Master Class. The IMC is where you'll find some of the industry's best teaching each other in an attempt to reduce who we are into artwork.
Those following my Patreon from the beginning may remember the Animus Solo series, where I used personal artwork to elucidate my hang-ups relating to my identity as a husband, sex addict, and queer person. But that was in 2015, which seemed like such a long time ago, and I change quickly. While hearing what Sasha had been discovering about himself, I was wondering, "If I painted a series on my identity today, what would it look like?"
Enter "I am Anima".
Less covert, more overt.
Less frustration, more celebration.
Less confusion, more confidence.
Less ignorance, more experience.
