Supporter Newsletter - November

Hello to all of our beautiful Supporters! It is once again the beautiful month of November. I hope you all had a great October and very scary Halloween. October was a very fun month for Requiem as we introduced new activities and a new event as well. I can't wait for Christmas as we bring in the new year for a very big future here in Requiem.

To start us off, October brought in a new event to showcase our friend Pip. Big thank you to the work from our new Moderator in charge of Content, Pyro, working alongside Plucky. For those of you that did not see the event, we asked for entries into a contest for dressing Pip in an awesome costume. We had so many great entries that it became incredibly difficult to choose which one would win. At the end of the event we did choose 1 winner but brought in 3 of the top choices as new emojis in our Discord. Definitely recommend checking out :PipMeg: if you haven't already.

Requiem is undergoing some slight changes from the top side. Right now we're working on a bit of a restructuring with titles, Admin/Moderator positions, responsibilities, tasks, etc. That won't be all. With these changes there will be more benefits for our Officer and Moderator team as a thank you for their hard work within Requiem. All of this makes me very confident in our future and everything we have planned.

Jumping into expenses for this month please be aware that I am only speaking on all money spent within Requiem. This does not include any out of pocket costs and/or anything we did not spend for the month.
- Staff Benefits (34%)
  - Staff Pyments, Team Budgets, Officer of the Month, Staff Gift Cards, etc.
- Server Hosting & Design Work (18%)
  - VPS, Dedicated Machines Hosting, Graphic Design, Video Editing, etc.
- Events & Giveaways (28%)
  - Community Events, Community Giveaways, Prizing, etc.
- Normal Monthly Savings (20%)
  - Charity Events and Taxes
None of the above is limited to what has been mentioned. There could easily be something I missed on the list but may be roping those expenses in.

I do want to mention that as we go into the new year I plan to have a whole new view on our expenses. I want to create a much easier way for everyone to understand what your money is being put towards. This is obviously still in the works so please bare with me.

Ohhmai here, your Community Outreach!  
I hope that everyone had a fun and safe Halloween! Hopefully you haven't gone through all that candy yet! This month has gone by so fast and we certainly had a lot happening in Requiem! Pip finally got their costume, just in time for Halloween! There were so many amazing entries, it made it so difficult to pick a winner! Make sure you check out the new emotes and stickers that are here to stay!   

We haven't had a Townhall in a while, but I promise you that we will get back to hosting them monthly! Plucky, our Event Coordinator, has stepped up to ensure this happens too, so make sure to put any of your suggestions in the newly updated Supporter Suggestions section. We have something a bit different planned for this month. I don't want to give too much away, but hopefully this will make up for missing the last couple Townhalls!

Hello my favorite people!  

It's that time again here on Requiem…   

We’ve been sailing through October in what seems like record time! What’s behind us, you ask? What's on the horizon? Lets get some wind in those sails about all the exciting things happening or that have happened with Sea of Thieves during the “Scary Season” here on Requiem.  

October has been an interesting month here on Requiem and for the Sea of Thieves community at large, we’ve seen a Halloween themed update with some great looking costumes and ship cosmetics, did you pick up any of them? I know I did. We’d love to see all our pirates adorned in their finest Haloweeen themed ship sets and costumes, head on over to our Sea of Thieves Clips and Screenshots section and show off your new threads or sails!  

We’ve also seen a new challenge presented by Rare in the month of October, appropriately titled “Trick or Treat”. This is one of the times we’ve seen Rare ask our fellow pirates to send out Tweets, what’s your take on this? I’d love to hear your feedback, head on into a Sea Of Thieves chat and let us know your thoughts. Moving onto the pressing question that everyone wants to know, did you “Trick” or did you “Treat”? I know what my choice was and can only hope I’ll get those shiny new rewards! What are your plans for this Halloween season if you choose to celebrate? I have plans for a pirate themed costume this year!  We’d love to see some of your Pirate costumes and hear your spooky stories whether in life or in the game.   

Sailing right along, here on Requiem, we offered a contest to all our fellow pirates. Design and post a costume for our beloved little kraken, pip! We had some amazing entries and the winners were chosen by you! These halloween themed pips will be shrunk down and you can now use them as emotes on our server. Which was your favorite entry? There were so many to choose from and we have some really talented Pirates out on the seas! If you’re one of those pirates and would like to offer your artistic talents to Requiem, head on over to our applications page. We are always looking for new pirates to join our creative team.  

As we pull into the dock for this Halloween season, I’d like to take a moment to offer a genuine thank you for your support. Each one of you allows us to do great things for you and the community as a whole, we couldn’t do it without each and every one of you.  If you have any ideas or suggestions, head on over to our new supporter suggestion forum and let us know. Each one is read and carefully considered by Requiem staff. I look forward to hearing from you and to seeing all of you out on the seas! Stay Scary my fellow pirates!
