Supporter Newsletter - July

Hello to all of our beautiful Supporters! I am extremely sorry for the delay on getting this newsletter out. June was another exhausting month with my new job and has been taking up a lot more time from me than I would like. This has been bleeding over into July a bit as well but I'm hoping things will become a lot easier towards the end of the month.

I hope you all had an amazing month of June and great 4th of July. It's been a great month despite how busy things have been. With all of the things we have brewing in the background, the future is just looking even brighter for Requiem. I'm so happy how far we've come and everything we're achieving with the team we currently have. There have been so much that has come across my desk and we're getting to such an amazing point within this community.

Okay, let's jump into our expenses. Please note that all of these expenses do not include any extra revenue Requiem did not spend. A majority of the money spent has gone towards Staff Benefits (%29) which includes staff payments, team giveaways, officer of the month, sot officer plunder passes, etc. Our monthly normal savings (%20) go towards our charity events and taxes at the end of the year. An additional expense that we always have is our Server Hosting/Design Work (%11) which goes towards our VPS, Dedicated Machine Hosting, Graphic Design, Video Editing, etc. Our last monthly expense is our Events/Giveaways (40%) which goes to exactly what you'd think.

This month we will be hosting our first ever PvP oriented tournament event for Sea of Thieves. The Festival of Fortune is going to be such an amazing event and we can't believe it's finally here. The excitement is unmatched and we can't wait to kick things off. We hope to see you all there!

Happy July! My name is Penny and I am the Community Manager for Requiem. The past month has personally been a tough one and I did have to take some time out of office but since being back I have caught up and continued my normal duties. I have been focusing on lots of upper staff changes going on and was able to participate in and help out with our June charity stream. Throughout the next month one of the main projects I will be focusing on doing is more research and execution on our merchandise expansion. I'll be conducting a handful of interviews as well as meeting with and checking in on our officers to make sure everyone is doing alright. It's going to be an amazing month and great summer for Requiem. I'm always available to chat if you ever need me, talk later!

Hello fellow supporters,  

Mookest here, and yes I’ve been a supporter for a long time too. Since the departing of our FiveM lead we have had trouble filling the spot and FiveM lost some attention.

Lukian and I are working with developers to remake and rebuild the FiveM server with a whole new framework. We are going to remove the broken items and start relying on some great new features that have been created but many talented individuals and companies in the FiveM community.   

We are getting some energy going and working on banging this out to have some great fun RP. We would glad and excited to see some of you guys coming back to have some more fun experiences in a new place with new things to do. Launch date is TBD but when we know, you will know!   

Have a great time playing SOT, Minecraft, VRising, Guild Wars 2 and chatting in the great community of friends we have here at Requiem. Thank you for helping us make this community the best place to hangout and make new friends!

Hello my favorite supporters!  

It's that time again here on Requiem….  

It has been an interesting month here on Requiem and on Sea Of Thieves, we’ve all spent time deciding the fate of Golden Sands and came to the conclusion to save that beautiful outpost! I wonder what Rare has in store for it? Have any theories? I’d love to hear them. Feel free to start up a chat in one  of our SoT Channels.   

The talk of the town is the much anticipated “Captaincy” update and I can tell you that I’m very excited to see what it will bring to the table and how it will change the way we think about our faithful companions on the seas, our ships. What are you going to name your ship?
We have also seen the recent “Mysteries” being launched and would like to know; have you found any hidden gems in videos or twitter posts? We’d love to hear about it. These mysteries should help to bring a new dynamic to the game as well as future updates. Who did it? Who killed DeMarco?  

Moving right along to Requiem:
We will be hosting the first ever Festival of Fortune! The Festival of Fortune is a community-based Sea of Thieves PvP championship where communities and gamers from around the world battle it out in an attempt to secure the championship trophy.  
This should be a fun adventure for everyone involved! May the best team win!
We’ve also had an adorable little baby kraken dropped into our laps. I’d like to offer a warm Requiem welcome to our new mascot, Pip! You can find Pip in your stickers on Requiem. Pip has some cute outfits and emotes to share and if you’d like to see anything more from Pip, please free to reach out with any ideas you might have. We’d love to hear your feedback.

Hello there supporters; happy July! June has been a busy month as we prepare for some very exciting events coming to you this month that require all hands on deck!

To start, we have the Festival of fortune starting very soon. What is the Festival of fortune, you may ask? Well, We will be hosting the first-ever Festival of Fortune! The Festival of Fortune is a community-based Sea of Thieves PvP championship where communities and gamers from around the world battle it out in an attempt to secure the championship trophy. I am excited to see this event start and hope to see you on the seas. My sword will be sharpened and blunderbuss loaded. I hope yours are too.

Secondly, I have continued my work as a general moderator, temporarily stepping in as our community outreach. We have been hard at work growing and building our team. I am working daily to make your support experience at the Requiem the best it can be.

On top of that, I have been working to build redundancy and resiliency into Requiem's IT infrastructure, ensuring that we continue providing the best quality services for our community. Expect some new experiences throughout our different game offerings as we finish laying a foundation for paralleled growth throughout all areas of Requiem.

To finish, I would like to thank everybody that donated during this month's charity stream. We raised $880 for the Trevor Project, helping better the lives of the young LGBTQ+. If you have any community questions, concerns or suggestions, always feel free to contact me.
